The drivers for the most part are very nice and welcoming. A few that are grumpy here and there. The only thing I wish that could be changed is if the bus is full, the app some how tell that or have it on the front of the bus so we're not waiting around for a bus that is full and drives right passed the stop. I was downy ocean for the 2023 oceans calling festival. The condo we stayed at is on 90th so we had a nearby bus stop. Or was off season but they made accommodations for extra buses due to the festival. The first day, Friday, was rough. It took a few tries to get a bus to the boardwalk. We lucked out on the way home because we left before the last artist. But I heard that others were stuck for hours trying to get home. Well I guess the beach bus took the feedback seriously because on Saturday and Sunday, everything was smooth sailing. We got in a bus to the boardwalk immediately and even got to sit. And on the way home we had no issues. Even with the less than ideal situation on Friday, they more than made up for it Saturday and Sunday. And our bus drivers were all so friendly! For a $4 all day pass, I was impressed! read more

Public bus line and simple north/south 10 mile route. Along mostly Coastal Highway from Ocean City Inlet/ Beach Boardwalk to 144th Street/Delaware line. Transfer to shuttle to West Ocean City Park and Ride. $3 all day fare/$1.50 senior exact change with ID or MC card. Safe alternative to drinking and driving, especially for partygoers. Can be useful for separate beach itineraries. Masks required and variable bus schedules. read more

I been taken the bus for a good long time. For last 20 years it a lot better.. With all the new bus. Boarding and un boarding a lot faster. With the $3.50 a day trip a lot better then pay trip by trip. Off season great with room to seat. faster to get down town. Bus doesn't get loud. But off season there no bus to the out-lead. peak season bus get full. ADA bus service for people with special need. Pay $3,50 all day. Only in Ocean City Maryland. Limited spot to pick up time. must call 24 hour before pickup. Great people, Great service. Hard in getting a pickup on Sunday. Short runs stick with the cab. long runs give them a call. Absolutely unacceptable behavior by the driver of bus 2119 at around 4:10 pm today. Driver went flying by 8th street bus stop and left 4 of us stranded. I get it if the bus was full, you slow down and let us know that, and tell us another one is being dispatched. We then proceed to jog to the next stop. As we are approaching, we see 6 come off if that bus, driver quickly shuts the door and speeds off with us at arms length of the bus. Awful customer service by the bus driver. Holy crap. There are some seriously douchey people riding this bus. The only reason why my husband and I used this service was because we're responsible enough not to drink and drive - all we wanted was a quick drink or two at Buxy's Salty Dog and we were staying almost 75 blocks from the place. Well, I can only say that it was 75 blocks of pure hell - drunken "YOLO" morons screaming in our ears almost the entire way down, drunken half-naked girls sitting on complete strangers' laps, people banging and shoving into us (didn't your parents ever teach you the meaning of "excuse me"?)... seriously, I think we'd have done better to walk the 2 miles and keep some of our hearing. Next time we're just going to take the car, buy our beer, and take it back to our condo, because this was just awful. The only star goes to the poor bus driver. We actually were polite and wished him a good night as we got off - he was so grateful that it really was kind of sad. He just sighed and said, "First night of what's going to be a very, very, very long summer." My hat's off to you, Beach Bus Driver. You desperately need a raise. read more

For a $1 a ride this is one of the easiest ways to get around OC while avoiding losing that choice parking spot you have at your hotel. The wait was less than 10 mins, the driver was friendly, the bus clean and the "douchey people" who sit at the back of the bus usually disembark fairly soon. We used this bus during the day to go shopping at a grocery story, to get to a mini golf, and to sight see; but maybe night time experience is more challenging. And it's wheelchair accessible with the folding out type of ramp (not a lift, hooray!) read more

Dealt with a lot of verbal and physical harassment from both male and female riders, even with a cop on the front end of the bus. So packed he couldn't see what was going on read more

Very frustrating to use. Service is very sporadic and unreliable. Buses are not spaced correctly and will group up together leaving huge wait times between the groupings. And forget about customer service if you call in. There is none. read more

I'm A driver for the town. I can say this much. YOU CAN NOT come close to beating the price of a ticket to ride from 6am to 6am the next day ALL YOU WANT! Just remember this. There is Ocean City before 10pm and Ocean city after 10pm. The experience you have will largely correlate with this. Unfortunately we can not control the amount of alcohol one drinks. Best I can do as a Driver is my best to be courteous, professional and most of all get you to your destination SAFELY. Easier said than done with so many bikes NOT following the laws, people walking out in front of you at all speeds, and people not quite sure where they are going making last second turns in front of you. Then as previously stated. The after 10pm alcohol effecting all 3 of those. THIS IS AN AWESOME town in the summer with LOTS to do. The Beach Bus makes it safe and easy with all the rides you need in a day for 3 bucks! Considering the cost of fuel and how expensive these big rigs are. That is mega cheap! It would be a bargain at $5 for the day. A taxi ride on JUST ONE WAY will set you back in most cases during the day $8-$15 and late at night an extra 20-40% easy. That is with NO TIPS. Something us bus drivers are not allowed to take. I for one do my best to make you feel at home and safe. Even though I often get verbally assaulted many times a day or worse by those who do not live here. I still strive to be what you need to have a great time and keep you safe while you enjoy this great place to vacation! read more
