Connie always did an amazing job cleaning my home. Thorough and meticulous, but not as fast as her manager would like. The Branch Manager continually pressured Connie to get finished faster on my cleaning and most others. I'd give Connie a 5-star rating. As far as dealing with management at Merry Maids that's another story. The real story behind this service is controlling employees, trying to keep the negativity with employees, and a toxic internal environment quiet, while showing a smiling service face to buyers. I needed a one-time cleaning of my house and was charged $450....and they didn't even finish! I still had two bedrooms to clean after they left. I had to provide how many bedrooms/bathroom/square footage prior to booking so that wasn't a surprise. They actually called and asked if I wanted to pay another $140 for them to finish! Included services included cleaning ceiling fans, blinds, washing all visible baseboard and cabinets. This was NOT done. Items were not moved when dusting, simply dusted around. For that price they should have completed in the time THEY allotted and cleaned as they promised. read more

I'm in bed most of the time. Been ill for a while so I needed someone to clean up. I won't deny it was a pretty big job, but called them, and they were kinda rude when they got here and didn't do a very good job missing quite a bit of floor. I really wasn't that upset about it, but when they gave me a survey to fill out, I told them I didn't think too much of the job they'd done. I wasn't going to lie. Also, they were over two hours late and, when I requested a reschedule they just said they were on the way and wouldn't let me. After that, they got all confrontational via email, telling me about how filthy my house was etc. ... and like I said, I really wasn't that upset about it, but I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Addendum: Event though I only had them do two rooms instead of the three they were expecting, they still charged me for three. read more

Have had them for 4 months and always have done a great job in my home. Until this last time. My normal cleaning crew was there with a 3rd person. The original crew does a great job and very efficient. Except this time, a 3rd member. Have had them cleaning my bathrooms where I have my medications out on the counter in a rack. Have never had ANY issues with my normal crew until the last visit on 4-2-24 when the 3rd person was at my home. I had an unopened bottle of sleeping pills that came up missing on my counter when I went to use them on Friday. I contacted their office and the manager states she talked to them and that the medication was not taken by them. Well, only 5 people have been in my home since their visit and my wife and I are two of them. I contacted the manager again today and she talked to them "again" and got the same story. Well, now I am having to make a police report and waste my day because of a thief that came into my home. Up to you, but their "bonded and insured" doesn't mean much for a their that steals others medicine. Great service up to this visit. The signs are there when the original crew that is there works great and they do their jobs, and were tipped well. Then a 3rd shows up and drugs are taken, doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out. Too bad their manager doesn't see it. Good luck. read more

illegal activity: wage theft: deducting my hourly wage on my last check without notice because I quit, lying about hourly rates, false promises on raises, makes us sign something stating we won't talk about salary, I never saw any credit card tips on my pay stubs. All very illegal! The only "corporate contact info" I can find goes to the receptionist's junk mail. I know that because she actually texted me and told me to "be woman enough" to call her instead. The corporate number takes you to a directory for the receptionists. I told her to stop contacting me and she continued to text me, I had to block her. Very unprofessional. read more

They are lazy. They clean what they want. They don't follow the check sheet. One complains about the pay. You pretty much need a copy of their work sheet to make sure the do everything. Now the reason I terminated. One maid brought the son in to help her clean. I have no idea how old he was 15-19 yo maybe. Not being a merry maid employee makes that illegal. If he was a minor oh my that's even more illegal. I notified office and supervisor said as usual that will never happen again. Well not till the next the next time when a different made brought her non merry maid employee husband. Strange men coming in and out of my home is unnerving and shouldn't be going on. Unacceptable.The office staff is unorganized, unprofessional and have no control over the maids. Sad just plan sad. read more

What a train wreck of a service! We wanted our house cleaned for our family Thanksgiving dinner so we picked Merry Maids. Bad choice. For starters we paid for a full end-to-end, top-to bottom cleaning and were quoted around $350. Our house is almost 1800 sq feet. After 3 calls attempting to try and confirm what time they would be there, we gave up. Two gals showed up, one in a bad mood, who obviously didn't want to be there. So management, we were told, allotted them 4 hours to do the job. They "finished" in about 3. We found they missed quite a lot of things they should have cleaned. Such a lousy job we complained and asked for a partial refund. Our contact said she would "check with her management". Never got the partial but was told they would redo cleaning with a different crew. For free. We had got the 2nd scheduled for a 10am start time. 2nd crew showed up 2 1/2 hours late and immediately started calling in what 1st crew missed. So their tardiness pushed OUR schedule back. Wife had a dental consult at 3:30 and she was late because of the maids were late. This pushed back her consult which in turn caused the dentist to push HIS schedule back.... And the 2nd crew STILL missed things that should have been cleaned in a deep cleaning. So for my $350 purchase we got our time wasted, our dentist's time wasted, and endless frustration in dealing with these clowns. NEVER AGAIN ARE WE USING MERRY MAIDS! Not worth it! read more

My husband surprised me with a maid service for when our newborn arrived. I couldn't be happier with the service. I had an issue with the sales rep at first, but they were quick to fix the problem. Maxine who leads the office is just fantastic. She's so friendly and eager to help in anyway. Would highly recommend to anyone needing a housekeeper. read more

I needed help when work, after school activities and other comittments always put the housework on the back burner. Merry Maids stepped in to help several years ago. They have been great! The bathrooms are cleaned and sanitized, the floors are clean, the beds are made and even the cat hair is gone off the furniture. I open the door and it smells clean.
