As it turned out, I am either not fat enough or too tall to qualify for the program that I wanted. But since I'm not entirely sure of my height, we scheduled another appointment two weeks away, during which Simona would measure me. I decided that I would start using heavy weights again to build muscle, since a foot fracture derailed my workouts and caused weight gain. However...I then decided that I probably am too tall and still might not qualify. And I likely couldn't gain significantly more muscle in two weeks. So I went on Groupon to get a refund. To my COMPLETE surprise, my Groupon had been redeemed without my knowledge or consent. I called, and it was explained to me that they always redeem the Groupons upon arrival, in order to prevent people from getting the service and then claiming a refund. While I understand that concern, it's a terrible business practice to do that BEFORE determining eligibility. I probably did look fat enough, as I was wearing a baggy sweatshirt over leggings. I was not told that they had redeemed my Groupon, probably because I had scheduled a new appointment. I told them that, commonly, providers ask me to pull up the voucher AFTER the service, or, if it's a facial treatment, sometimes when I arrive. And then *I* mark it as used in front of them. This action cannot be undone, so the provider is protected. I think this is a MUCH better practice, especially when there are eligibility requirements. As a side note, I am appalled to learn that people try to scam providers. Ugh. Shameful. Simona promptly sent the email confirming my ineligibility, which Groupon requires for a refund, and for that I'm grateful. I gave five stars because although I was initially very disappointed, then furious, the situation was handled as well as possible. I'm going to look at some of their other services, since I likely won't qualify for the one that I purchased.

Their pricing is transparent, and incredibly competitive. They are located in an unassuming building complex, but inside they are very clean, knowledgeable, and professional. I purchased laser hair removal for my underarms and Brazilian and they were so patient and thorough. Their laser is stronger than you can purchase for at home use, therefore it is more painful- the feeling is similar to a rubber band snap. However, it requires immensely less treatments because of its strength. The entire laser if process took around 10 minutes for both areas total and they use ice to cool the area which is a god send! I will absolutely be returning for the remainder of my laser treatments.

They talked me into $5000 worth of Laser and some kind of serum that they guaranteed this would work. Not only did it, not improve at all, it made it much worse! I have since learned that these lasers can worsen this type of melasma. When I addressed this with corporate, the woman told me that I did not mention I had melasma. This would be under my health history. The first words out of my mouth when I went in, was dark melasma under my eyes. She stated that I did not write that on my medical history. I am re-registered nurse and medical history to mean means cardiovascular issues, respiratory, muscular, skeletal, pulmonary. Things of this nature. I couldn't have made myself more clear about why I was there. They refuse to do anything about this and now I'm out $5000. Please be aware that they will tell you anything to take your money. I have talked to other people who have gotten horrible rashes from the hair removal lasers. They are very inexperienced staff. If you have dark spots or asthma, do yourself a favor and go to New Age Aesthetics and wellness and get a VI peel. I've had one so far and it has helped tremendously!
