Back in the day, this Merle Norman store used to be great. Now, it's just so-so. The biggest problem I've had when buying items here are the horrible stock issues. Lucky today they had what I needed now, like their matte moisturizer but they were out of stock on a lip item I wanted. They did offer to ship the lip product for free to me, which was nice. Browsing around I still noticed very low or out of stock on several products and makeup shades throughout the store. I think next time I will order online direct from Merle Norman website just in case they are out of stock on what I need next and save me an unnecessary trip to the mall. I've been doing my research and asking people where is the best place to ear piece my baby. I went everywhere but this place caught my attention. As an RN, it is very important for me the cleanliness and the procedure itself. Procedure was very basic but how fast and less pain was absolutely a no-brainer for me. They actually did pierce both ears at the same time which was very impressive for me and not all ear-piercing place are actually doing this for babies. My baby cried for a second maybe because I was hugging her so tight . Nancy is very nice, approachable, explained the procedure and after-care very well and very certain of what she's doing. Workers here are usually enthusiastic and knowledgeable, USUALLY! I enjoy some of their products here, such as the lasting creme eyeliner in SLATE at 19$, but you'll have to buy a separate eyeliner brush for about $10. The creme eyeliner works best when you first buy it, but overtime the creme gets dry, making it hard to apply to your upper lid. Also, it might take a while to become good at using the brush and creme eyeliner, but with continuous use everyone can become an expert at applying it on! =) I must note that at times, the creme eyeliner DOES smudge if you don't give it enough time to dry or if you apply too much. I used to wear their flawless creme foundation which cost me $40 for one and the foundation brush is $20-$25!. However, I don't wear their foundation anymore because I upgraded to bare minerals AHEM*! Anyway, eyebrow waxing is OK here too at 10-15$. A girl name DUNG used to work here and she was amazing at waxing, so it is unfortunate that she isn't here anymore because the other workers cannot wax your eyebrows as good as she does. =( Also, this place has free makeover sessions products and free gift samples only if you buy 2 or more products! The gifts usually comes with 3-4 traveling pieces in a cute pouch. But as a warning, these travel gift sets go fast and at times they aren't even available until random months! She's also patience too. So I bought a couple of items and left. Today I came back to return 2 items and they have a 30 day return policy, I was 2 days away. This time Shawnie assisted me again and I thought I would have a hard time exchanging the products but Shawnie was nice about it. I told her that I heard great reviews for their Lipstick lipliner. So she took out a bunch of colors and let me try it on one by one. She was so helpful and after trying 5-7 colors I finally found a color I liked which she had recommended. I moved to Huntington Beach this past November and was happy to find a Merle Norman Studio just 3 miles from my house at the Westminister Mall. I ran in there to grab some blush and didn't have much time. The owner was not in, but what a gorgeous studio! I found the two women working to be extremely knowledgeable about the product, professional and friendly. I might add they both had their make up beautifully applied and were great ambassadors for the brand and the studio owner. My only regret in writing this is due to the hurry I was in, I don't remember their names so I can give proper credit. Great and clean store for eat piercing! I've been going here for years (I have 3 daughters) and always encourage other people to go here to get their ears pierced. I was so sad with my last visit. When we walked in, there were two people working - both heavily engaged in their phones. When we walked further into the store, one finally looked up To help us. She was clearly irritated we had interrupted her. Fast forward ... she pierced my daughters ears and did a good job but did not crack one smile. My daughters were actually really scared of them both. With an hourly charge, the end total was exhorbantly overpriced which appears to be the result that Shannon (sp?) was slower as compared to other experienced persons and the product/service result was of poor quality. The eyelash started to fall out that day. Notified Shannon (sp?) who performed the service and who agreed to re-do the eyelash extension without charge when I return to town. Upon my return, made the appointment and received an appointment confirmation from the Merle Norman Westminster location. On my way to the appointment, I was notified that they did not have the eyelash products available/prepared and that they don't perform that service in the Merle Norman Westminster location (which was where I originally had the appointment and the service is advertised!). Spoke with the Merle Norman Westminster owner (Melinda) about the poor experience. The Merle Norman Westminster owner (Melinda) agreed that I should get a full refund. However, the Merle Norman Westminster owner (Melinda) has since failed to provide the full refund. Instead the Merle Norman Westminster owner (Melinda) did not return calls unless contacted multiple times and backtracked giving excuses on the poor quality service, operations and did a bait/switch on providing the full cash refund switching to store credit. read more

Also took time measuring and making sure that the markings were even and had a second person'a opinion on it before starting. I was feelin lame to drive to my regular waxing lady so I walked in here and was greeted by a warm nice lady named Shawnie. She did a fantastic job on my eyebrows!! I loved it sooo much! Unlike other places where you feel rushed, she takes her time on you and does the job really really well. What a clean, great and fun place. I had 3, 12 year old girls that wanted a facial. They wanted to go to any nail salon. I had to go to the mall so while I was there I thought we could check out Merle Norman. What a super place. Shawnie has been doing my eyebrows for about 3 years now and I have to say she's the best for me at least. I work in spa myself and could get them done for free where i work but no one can do my brows like she does. Definately worth the $15. I never break out after she does my brows. She is very thorough and gentle and not to mention she has a wonderful personality. Went to Merle Norman today at Westminster Mall. Been going there for 20 years, have spent hundreds of dollars there. Went there to return lash curler unused, I had waited longer than 30 days so I knew exchange would be my only option, which I was ok with. The manager refused my request, basically said Tough Luck for you. All she had to do is check my account and see what a great customer I have been. But she did not do this. I have been so frustrated trying to find Merle Norman Cheek color in my area. The local shop seems to never be open and not return calls, and you can't buy it online! So I called this store in Westminster and reached a wonderful gal named Jessica who was soooooo helpful & wonderful. I purchased thru her, gave her my credit card and was finished in no time! So I heard rave reviews on some of their products. So I went in there and an older SA lady helped me. She was kinda nice at first but wasn't that nice at the end. She started to have my sis and I apply the products ourselves and tend to the other customer. At one time, I think she mummbled something to her coworker cuz I was unsure about the shade she chose for me. Hey, we all want to get the perfect foundation shade.
