The couple that owns the business wants their customers taken care of. Excellent service! Thank you Enso! BE VERY CAREFUL at Enso as they may add charges for services without clearly telling you the cost--or even that the service is an add-on. I was charged $60 for a regular toenail polish change and a 10-minute soak in warm water. That was literally my entire service. Meanwhile, both of my friends received full Tier 1 pedicures--including soaking, massage, hot towels, scrubbing, nail trimming/filing, cuticle care, and polish--and also paid $60. When we sat down, my nail tech offered to let my feet soak for 10 minutes while I chose my color. He never told me the soak was an additional paid service. I've had this same toenail polish change at Enso 3-4 times before, and the soak was always included. My nails were already trimmed and ready to polish. I specifically did not request filing, cutting, massage, scrubbing, or any other pedicure services. The tech spent maybe 10-15 minutes with me applying a base coat, regular polish, and topcoat. At checkout, I was shocked to see a $60 bill. When I questioned it, I was told the 10-minute soak is "typically $50," but they reduced it to $30. Since when does a 10-minute soak in water cost $50--or even $30? Most importantly, I was never told it was an additional charge.

Disappointed in the service given their great reputation. I got a gel x manicure for my grad pics…read moreand not only were they really expensive, they were not done well. She did no cuticle prep at all, she didn't clean up the excess chrome on the side of my fingers, and there was a ridiculous amount of gel left under my nails. There was so much gel that when I got home I used my nail drill to take off the bulk of it. They also started lifting after less than a week and fell off within 10 days. There were also deep grooves in my nail beds aka rings of fire. For paying $70 + tip for a service I expect it to feel like a $70 service and it did not. Really disappointed, won't be going back.

CJ's is a quaint little salon in Haile Village. The location is quiet and adorable, with tree-lined…read moresidewalks just outside and plenty of free, on-street parking. The salon is well kept and cozy: with two small rooms, it feels less like a "hair salon" and more like a friend's house. It has never been crowded or too busy when I've been there, which I like, and the stylists don't get interrupted every 5 minutes with phone calls or walk-ins, so you feel like you really have their full attention. Also, they offer complimentary drinks (water, coffee, soda) to sip during your service. I've seen Mindy Johnson there several times. She is hilarious and fun to talk to, plus she always does a great cut on my unruly hair. (I have fine, wavy hair, but a lot of it, and she is able to tame it into a cut that works for me.) She listens to what I want but also has helpful suggestions to help me not always get the same old cut. She's fast (I'm always done in under an hour) but accurate, and she does a great job with bangs. Plus, you can book appointments with her online through StyleSeat, which is great if you have a busy schedule. I highly recommend her! I'm not sure on CJ's nail services, but I have loved all of my haircuts here and have made it my go-to salon. Also, the prices are competitive: a shampoo/condition/haircut/blowdry with Mindy is $30 (before tip)...hard to beat in Gainesville!

Funny story, initially I reached out to Nikki back in 2019 for a lash service but because I still on the fence about wearing lashes on top of having numerous things come up, I kept rescheduling and just ended up canceling altogether. Fast forward to March 2022, here I go again trying to find a consistent new lash girl and I kept coming across Nikki's business on yelp, well after the few people I went to that were no gos, I said let me give her a try; not realizing this is the same girl I wanted to first go to for lashes, just wow look how things come full circle! Not only is she reasonable in price, she is quick (I was expecting 2 hours and she finished 1 hour and 30 mins I believe), I didn't get off the table with my back hurting or neither was I moving (a thing I do when I'm tired) needless to say I left out, HAPPY! I never had an experience like this! I pray that she doesn't leave Gainesville for as long as I live here or continue to get lashes because she's my lash girl now! She's so sweet and kind too! Her lash space is so inviting and calm! I just met her in person and she instantly made me feel comfortable. If your looking for a lash girl, hopefully you can get in with Nikki, she's a hidden gem!
