Was recommended by someone to come and try the corned beef pandesal and to come early because they sell out -- I called ahead of time and was instead able to place an order to pick up! Placed my order and was able to pick up after 40 mins. Very easy process and the ladies who helped me over the phone and at the register were so nice :) Reasonable prices-- For 8 corned beef pandesal, 4 chic empanadas and 2 turon my total was $34. - corned beef pandesal was so good!! Bread was soft and fluffy and very freshly baked! (but if you didnt grow up eating corned beef or hate certain mushy textures, i would be wary) - chicken empanadas not so good; it was definitely chicken it just didnt taste like anything but veggies - turon was good; freshly made, so crispy and sweet! They also had plenty of other filipino desserts available on the shelf - I'll definitely be back the next time im in town :D

Bakery inside the Island Pacific Seafood market on Silverado in Henderson, NV

Got to try a Chicken Pan de Sal from the Merienda bakery located in the Island Pacific Seafood Market on Silverado today. My husband's coworker which is Filipino introduced him to them. He loved them and brought me home some to try today :) Omg it was so delicious the Pan De Sal is a Filipino dinner bun. It's a round soft hot Roll with a golden crumb-coated exterior. When I took a bite it had a slightly sweet flavor and a fluffy texture and it was filled with a shredded chicken mixture. It was so soft and nice and warm. It was delicious and taste very fresh like it just came out the oven. I went on the menu before writing my review and saw they have many other desserts options like Ube Pan Del Sal, Spanish bread, Monggo Hopia, etc. I really want to go back one day with my husband to try some other stuff there and also get more of the Pan de Sal. Oh and they only cost $2.25 each. Not bad and the one I had was very filling so I saved the other one for my daughter to try when she got home from school, which she loved and enjoyed as well! My husband said the service was fast and he was in and out in no time. I'm glad this bakery is so close to my home. I can't wait to check it out for myself soon!

During COVID-19: Amazing Filipino bakery located inside the entrance of Island Pacific Seafood Market- a large Filipino/Asian supermarket, not common in the east coast. It was a pleasant surprise to see such representation in the valley. I was in search for some ube cheese pandesal, all the craze in the Philippines and pockets of Fil-Am communities throughout the states. For those who know, it's a common trend in established bakeries in the Philippines. However, I've had a hard time finding these "modern" pandesal in the US since 2020. When I found out Vegas bakeries were making them (and not home-bakers), I had to trek my way to Merienda Bakery. This shop has a vast amount of merienda- snacks in Tagalog. It was super refreshing to see my childhood favorites and some I've never had growing up in the states. I was even more surprised that they sold taho! I've hadn't had this since leaving NYC and it was hearty and reasonably priced. They serve it in a big bubble tea cup and with a straw which isn't traditional at all but actually made it easier to slurp. The portion is very big which makes it great to share. This is a traditional Filipino bakery, so you won't see anything out of the ordinary, except for the ube cheese pandesal which is actually NOT cheese filling like other ube pandesal recipes I've seen. Instead the pandesal was filled with a cold cream cheese filling, contrasting the fresh hot bread. They sell them either as a dozen or half. My only confusion is that their social media had said to pre-order by phone, but alas, no one answered via phone or DMs. We luckily took the chance to see if they sold the pandesal without pre-orders. Luckily they did! They had tons of kakanin from sapin sapin to colorful puto to kutsinta. Fresh plain pandesal and siopao made fresh in the back. Hot steaming carioca, or sweet fried rice balls, are also made and sold here. Service was excellent. Accepts cash and card. Masks required. Mangaon ta!

I was really disappointed with this bakery. We stopped here on our drive home to LA to pickup some Ube Pandesal to take home. There was a pack of Ube pandesal on the counter but the lady didnt want to sell to us. She said it was on hold for a customer to pick up and that we needed to order ahead if we wanted them. We told her we are not from Vegas and that we lived in LA so we were unaware of the need to order in advance. We just wanted to buy some since they are known for their Ube pandesal. She refused to sell it to us even though she had several in the oven and more on the side waiting to be baked. I truly understand the need on ordering ahead but like I said we are not from the area. It would have been a nice gesture on her part to sell it to us given that fact. Now, we probably won't be returning to this bakery based on this experience.

For the BEST fresh baked Ube Pan De Sal you MUST come here to Merienda Bakery located inside The Island Pacific Market on Silverado Ranch and Bermuda. It's a nice little to go only bakery right at the door when you walk in. They have a bunch of already baked packaged goodies on a table and inside for you to choose from. I had the biggest craving for a warm fresh baked Ube Pan De Sal so made a phone call on my way here to make sure they still had some. While I was at it since they told me they were making a fresh batch in the oven I placed my order over the phone for 2 dozen fresh baked Ube Pan De Sals. Best decision ever!! By the time I got there my order came nice and hot straight out of the oven. Ube Pan De Sal was amazing!! Right out of the oven they were so warm and delicious. The bun was fluffy and soft with the yummy whipped melty cheese on the inside. Everything else here is very good too but this is my go to spot for Ube Pan De Sal. If you order it to go for later make sure you put it in the microwave for about 30 seconds until it's warm on the inside and out. Best way to eat it is when the cheese is hot and melting. You'll thank me later.

Mood - pastries Upon entering was greeted with great customer service. We were asked if we had any questions re: what was offered. We opted for 2 Carioca one ube, the other langka, bibingka pandan, and turon. All of these pastries were delightful and satisfied my sweet tooth. Interior of bakery is located in the main grocery, however it is in its own section, where you pay separately. This section was clean, and the staff was very hospitable. We will def be back to entertain other items offered. Would def recommend- pricing was beyond reasonable Location is Silverado/ Bermuda- ample parking

I've only tried the pandesal and Ube bibingka so far but will add more as I try them. All items are baked fresh daily. The pandesal was fresh out of the oven and as always got a full bag. The flavor was delish and texture soft on the inside. I would get their pandesal again. The Ube bibingka did not have enough flavor, I couldn't taste the Ube. I recommend trying it for yourself. A lot of other delish items I'm looking forward to trying. It's a great addition to the area. 2020 Review #5

I've only purchased the Ube pandesal from here and have not been disappointed. Friendly service and are very accommodating.

This bakery just opened inside the Seafood Market

Buying these fried sweet treats made me feel like I was in Manila buying some seriously good street food. This bakery just opened up inside the Seafood Market. Their bakery is right at the front entrance, you can't miss it. They have a variety of Filipino desserts, the way it should be made. Authentic, fresh and delicious. Today, we tried Carioca. There were 4 sweet of them on a skewer. These were just made and were perfectly sweet, chewy and sticky. Inside is sweet rice flour with shredded coconut. My daughter, 4 years old, tried them for the first time ever and LOVED them. She was quiet the entire time she ate them. She had 2 and .. ehhh hemmm... I had the other two. This is dangerous, because we are at the shopping center twice a week for math tutoring... it's going to be hard not stopping here for a treat every time! If you want to try something new or have been missing that Filipino treats from home, check this place out!

John was the guy that took my order.

John used gloves when he took my order. He scratched his head with the gloves on and when he counted the cash I gave him. Who knows what else he was doing with the gloves on, he already had it in when he took my order. Need some training from the health district!!! This is purely disgusting!!!!!

Ask the Community - Merienda Bakery

Is there only buko pie on the weekend?

Nope. It really depends on the supply but they do have it most of the time.

What's the best time to get fresh pan de sal rolls hot out of the oven?

They always make pandesal rolls hot out of the oven the entire day. But the best time is in the morning. Morning breakfast pan de sal with coffee are the best.

    Any dairy free recommendations?

The turon is a top seller is dairy free.

On Sunday, we said our GOOD-BYES and it was decided we'd seek Filipino cuisine. Jocelyn checked her phone and came up with a restaurant, "FULL HOUSE." So there we went and we had a great dinner. As we walked in, a voice was heard: "WELCOME!" ... choose a table!" We did and in no time, A young man (Zeus) came to us with menus and said we could call him when ready! Well, between Tastic, Neil and Jocelyn, the menu items were selected, and Eros took our order. It was very long before the items began being served to us and we began our mini feast. The restaurant is not very big but it is great. The service is top notch as the Waiters and cooks were very timely. Situated in the "SILVERADO RANCH CENTER", parking is plentiful and the entire area is very nice. When in Vegas, go enjoy what the FULL HOUSE offers and tell Eros & his fraternal brother (Zeus): "PELOS PARADOS sent us!"

We only got a cup of it but I'd totally get more. Very garlic forward with fried bits and it wasn't overly oily like Java rice I'm used to. Their regular order of pork lumpia comes in a Jeepney container but only has four pieces so I ordered the app sampler instead. It arrives with a trio of sauces: aioli, soy vinegar, sweet n sour. Kare kare (oxtail peanut stew) was solid. Delicious with steamed rice. Doesn't overly taste like straight up peanut butter. Grilled fish had all the essence of classic vinegar with extra on the side. Parents liked this. Bitter melon beef was on the salty side. Had to get those greens in. Halo Halo! They shape some shaved ice, ladle on all the sweet beans, jellies, coconut gel (my fave!), jackfruit, sweet corn, etc. before drizzling on condensed and evaporated milks, topping it with ube ice cream, then the square of leche flan with sugar torched to perfection! Can't forget about the crisp pinipig rice which they dye green. Pour on the side of extra evaporated milk after the flame dies down. Big enough for four people to share! We arrived hungry and left happy! Thank you so much to Full House BBQ for this taste of home in Vegas.

Rumors aside, I'm glad I came because this was some of the best and most authentic Filipino homemade comfort food I've ever had. For $19.99 per person, you get at least 20 freshly made dishes daily, refilled throughout the day, plus fried rice and steamed rice (soda is extra). I came for a late lunch around 2 pm, and the spread was still fresh, full, and delicious, everything from appetizers to mains, soups, and desserts. What makes it extra fun is the buffet-tapas hybrid: you fill small bowls, arrange them on your tray, and enjoy the meal bite by bite. The fried salted fish/smelt was the highlight for me, crispy and addictive with steamed rice. Another stand-out was the crossover dishes similar to Vietnamese cuisine (at least five mains and two desserts). I especially enjoyed the pickled cabbage soup and the desserts like taro banana and coconut tapioca, which were perfectly cooked and not overly sweet. *****Whip X Bánh Mì***** Sharing the space right next door is Whip X Bánh Mì, a separate café in its soft-opening phase. Service was sufficient and friendly for this kind of market-buffet setup. Don't let the strip mall exterior fool you, this place delivers! Location perks: about a 15-minute drive from both The Strip and Chinatown, and close to UNLV. I also learned there are a few other locations around Vegas, so if you're local, I'd love to hear how they compare. Restrooms: women's was out of toilet seat covers, men's was fully stocked. Parking: free in the strip mall lot. Hours: open 7 days a week, making it convenient whenever cravings hit. The $19.99 price is for the Filipino buffet only! All items from Whip X Bánh Mì, like their Vietnamese coffee, sugarcane, coconut water, and drinks such as the Matcha Sugarcane, are separate purchases, since Whip X is its own stand-alone café that simply shares the space with Kusina Ni Lorraine and the market.

So instead of 20 dollars it was was $24 per person.  Drinks are not included in the $24 price. Overall, the food quality was mediocre and didn't justify the cost. There's an automatic service charge of 18% for a party of plus an additional 3% credit card fee. We don't mind paying more for good food and a satisfying experience, but this just didn't deliver. Sadly, we won't be coming back.

Located in the Grand Canal Shoppes food court in the Venetian…read more Halo Halo is a small vendor spot but I was happy I saw them when I was walking around to find something to eat during a recent Vegas trip. There's plenty of seating since the food court has a number or booths and tables. After a quick browse of the menu, I saw Longanisa under the breakfast all day and I already knew I wanted it. The pricing was very affordable. My order was ready within 10 minutes. It was presented in a to go container. The Longanisa dish is basically a breakfast bowl with eggs and rice and a vinegar sauce. Anything that involves Longanisa is automatically something I gravitate towards. The dish reminds me of breakfast at home. I liked the mix of sweet and savory on their Longanisa and the eggs were tasty. It was a dish I needed to keep me fed and energized for a night out in Vegas. Lol. Solid Filipino food for those craving some in the Venetian's Grand Canal Shoppes. ( ^_^)b
