Quick Backstory: As my neighborhood has history of power surges, & I have brain disease & a tenant- I have to be extra extra diligent with my smoke detector (& electrical) maintenance- so I am diligent. In fact I had just replaced all four of my smoke detectors last year... which leads to why I was panicked when my living room alarm randomly started going off... of course after hours, in the evening, starting while I was out of the home each time... Long story short, these heroes checked (& changed) each set of batteries in every rm but my tenants (who was trying to sleep) so they came back the again the next day (while my tenant was away at his work) to check his alarm too. When I found my alarm going off a third time (upon entering my home later that night)...they came yet again, confirmed it was 1 of the 4 hardwired that was faulty.... (Yes I'm ordered a new 1 & issue set to be solved.) Key is that they were so patient & professional & provided me tremendous relief. I'm ever so grateful to be in a community with such great local heroes!

Gardens of Xanadu is a large greenhouse on the property that is open to the public during the same business hours as Constellation Coffee, a coffee trailer on the property that is part of Xanadu. President of the Idaho Burners Alliance, Kaden Sinclair bought the property, which functioned as a church from the 1930s until the 1950s, so he could use it to build the art car "Joule" for Burning Man 2015, and it grew from there. One of Kaden's goals is to obtain the funding to build something similar to Meow Wolf, in Boise. I am rating Fort Boise on the services that are provided rather than the shine you see when you enter the facility. I am so very thankful for stumbling upon my community center. My community connection seems more complete with it. I have used this place as my gym and as my continuing eduction fix. My ceramics class grounds my art craving. Weekly, I walk into a studio filled with budding and more advanced artist. I am surrounded by like minds that find solace in creating something out of clay. If I am wanting to work my heart, I will go to my community center to run or lift weights or to take yoga classes. The gym areas are not huge but it is nice to have a place to go that isn't packed. Nothing matters more to me than what this place STANDS for. The people that work here are dedicated to making their community better and more active. They have a teen center, several art studios, a large gym, and a senior center. Every person I bump into at Fort Boise are friendly and helpful. Please look into other classes, activities, and services that Fort Boise provides. My review is exclusive to the gym and art center but their offerings reach far beyond the boundaries of their walls.
