Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood near the Orchard/Fairview intersection, Xanadu Community Center was created by the Idaho Burners Alliance, Inc., a nonprofit corporation that is "a creative alliance, focused on bringing art, science and technology education to Idaho." Xanadu aka "Xu" is a large building on the property that makes up the workspace. Gardens of Xanadu is a large greenhouse on the property that is open to the public during the same business hours as Constellation Coffee, a coffee trailer on the property that is part of Xanadu.
President of the Idaho Burners Alliance, Kaden Sinclair bought the property, which functioned as a church from the 1930s until the 1950s, so he could use it to build the art car "Joule" for Burning Man 2015, and it grew from there. One of Kaden's goals is to obtain the funding to build something similar to Meow Wolf, in Boise. Meow Wolf is an arts and entertainment company that creates large scale, interactive art installations.
