This facility has failed to mention that there was somebody infected with COVID-19 in the assisted living area, my great grandfather caught Covid from this facility and nobody was notified such as families and friends that it was in the assisted living area. Since he is living with my great grandmother she is now being tested and at risk for Covid along with all of their friends and neighbors in this facility. Their management is terrible and they are very unprofessional with keeping families and friends updated with information and with transparency on this subject. Gaby (a worker) was unprofessional to my great grandpa as my grandfather was leaving to the hospital for being ill which turned out to be Covid. They let my great grandma know that the price of his stay and care in the facility would increase due to this issue as he's being transferred into the ambulance truck. Who tells somebody that as they're heading out to the hospital? How heartless, apparently all they care about is the business and not their residents (our family members). This facility needs to be reevaluated and put under new management. #Voicesforseniors #voicesforseniorsCalifornia #elderabuse The picture below is of their address and phone number and executive director. YOU ARE NOT COVID-FREE!!!

I can not say enough for the staff at Pacifica. My mom was there for six years in different stages of memory care. I visited weekly and the room was clean and the caregivers loved her and cared for her as I would. They kept me updated if there was any issues and sent me pictures, video and let me facetime when I wasn't able to visit due to covid or sickness. She recently passed and as we waited for our final goodbyes, caregivers came in daily to hug and kiss my mom. They shared my tears and made my family comfortable and cared for also. Thank you Pacifica. You were a blessing to my mom and my whole family.

They worked daily to help her regain her strength and mobility. Even when my mom was out of the therapy sessions , they went out of their way to check in on her and have conversations with her when she was in her room or the activity room. The staff here have genuine heart. They are kind, attentive, and consistently go above and beyond for their residents. Our loved one resides in memory care, and while this stage of life can be emotional, the Claremont Place team has made the journey feel lighter. The caregivers, Med Techs, administrative staff, dining staff, maintenance, laundry, and everyone in between are intuitive, patient, and treat residents with the dignity and warmth you hope for when you entrust someone you love to another persons care. Management is honest, respectful, and responsive. Any concern is met with clear communication and prompt follow through, and their experience working with older adults is evident in the way they anticipate needs before they become issues. It feels like a true partnership. They also bring joy to daily life. Holidays and celebrations are handled with thoughtful intention, and the food and activities create a sense of home and community. We visit often, but it brings real peace knowing we do not have to. Our loved one is in very good hands. We are genuinely grateful for the team at Claremont Place and the care they continue to provide.

In her room, she has a single bed, a large recliner, a dresser, two large chairs and a small desk for her computer with a chair. With all this in the room, she still has lots of space to maneuver her walker safely and get to the window and her air handler to make herself comfortable. The food is very good. We eat there often with my mom. Most of the servers make an effort to remember my mom's preferences and they bring her what she wants before she even asks. Staff is attentive, concerned and proactive. The front desk is a hub for all information and if they don't know the answer, they follow up. I will post more updates in the months to come. Overall we made the right choice.

Unfortunately, there were serious communication and care concerns during her stay. Despite repeated efforts to inform staff about her medical restrictions, she was given food that she was not supposed to have. This led to complications, including her feeding tube becoming dislodged and requiring an emergency hospital visit. Even after the hospital provided updated instructions, it felt like important information was still not being clearly documented or followed. In addition to the medical concerns, it was very difficult to get timely responses from staff, and we often felt that our concerns were not taken seriously. This created a great deal of stress and worry for our family during an already challenging time. We ultimately requested a transfer to another facility closer to home so we could better advocate for her care. I strongly encourage families to stay very involved, ask detailed questions, and closely monitor care plans if their loved one is placed here. I am sharing this experience so that other families can be informed and prepared.

I searched and visited many facilities prior to me choosing Mountain View Center. I visited them a couple times and was able to meet the Owner, Coordinators, the caretakers, the cook, all the helpers I just knew that they stood out far beyond any others I went to. First thing that stood out was how immaculate everything was and it smelled so fresh and clean. This was very important for me if my mom going to live here. They gave me a tour of facility and the living quarters where my mom would stay. She has her own bedroom whom she shares with a wonderful roommate. They were very careful about matching mom's roommate, so they carefully introduced my mom to a few ladies and we found the perfect one. My mom has been her for 3 years and she loves it. They even have a program where a bus picks up the residents that are able, to have fun filled days dancing, singing, doing crafts, then the bus brings them back. They are very involved with many onsite activities. They have lots of parties, holiday parties too, they bring in musicians/bands so they can dance and enjoy, bbqs, dress up..etc. I just had to share my experience with anyone looking for a place for mom or dad. Dementia again has impacted our family, my dear Auntie is suffering with this horrible disease now. Sadly, my mom passed away in April 2024. I'm sharing the thank you letter to the Atria staff and some pictures from her time there. I hope this helps anyone thinking of moving their loved one to Atria del Rey. Dear Atria Del Rey Family "Staff," As we mourn the passing of our beloved mother, we can't help but think of the time she spent at Atria the past 7 months. Moving her out of our home into Assisted Living and entrusting her care to you was one of the most difficult decisions we've had to make. We would have loved to have kept her close to us, in our homes. But if you knew mom, you knew how much she enjoyed talking to people and keeping busy. It was that reason that we tried something different in our family - it was for her. As we struggled to let go of her care and learned to trust your staff with it, we saw her smile, laugh, and dance again. Because of her love of Atria and your acceptance of her, we kept her there. On behalf of our family, thank you for accepting her with her declining memory, for making her feel welcomed, and for loving her in each of your own ways. Thank you for feeding her, giving her meds, helping her with toileting, assisting her with dressing and showers, and all of the other million ways you helped her. Whether you realize it or not, God has a hand in your work. He is working through his angels on Earth, the caregivers. Don't ever doubt that what you do at Atria matters. It matters more than you know. To honor my mom's memory at Atria, please think of her when that music starts and the dancing begins. Because she is dancing there beside you.
