My mother is living here and she really likes it. They have a formal dining room or she go into the "bistro" to grab a quick bite. She also has a full kitchen in her apartment to make a meal if she wants to. They have activities and events to keep her busy if she wants to socialize. She has made lots of friends and is enjoying her time. I like that they have the residents call in each morning to let them know if they are all right. My mom loves chair volleyball and is a great player and I love her passion. It's very clean and the staff is nice! I would definitely recommend Valencia Terrace read more

It has now been over a year since my parents moved in and although my father is no longer with us, my mom continues to thrive at Valencia Terrace. We weren't sure if she would want to continue living there after dad passed before Christmas last year, but she said she was comfortable and at home. I'm happy to report that the community there really came around her in her loss and she has become very involved in many activities. From card making, crafting, art class, exercise , choir and bingo, the days here are active and social for my mother. There are so many people that work at Valencia Terrace that have been so wonderfully kind and caring! Hope this little update is helpful. read more

A family member of mine toured Valencia Terrace several times now preparing for a future move. She particularly loves the Casitas they offer which are about 1700 Sq ft with a garage. My family member lives in a large house and feels better knowing they have Casitas to transition into. The also have large apartments that are apart of the main building which are very nice. She is very active and loved the programming calendar that shows all the activities they offer. We all had a meal for lunch and it was very tasty. I was recently invited to attend a Casino Night event at Valencia Terrace, and it was nothing short of impressive. I'd heard of Valencia Terrace, but hadn't had the opportunity to walk the grounds in person. I must say that it's a very beautiful community, with a very welcoming staff. When I came in, I was immediately welcomed by the front desk, and ushered to another group of smiling faces who were there to hand us our tickets. The residents all had huge smiles as they gambled, the food and drinks were all delicious. At the end of the night, we were asked to turn in our tickets for a raffle and I even won a prize! The best part about this whole event, was that all of their profits went to charity. This is definitely a community that not only cares for its residents, but cares about the greater Corona community as well. read more

I toured Valencia Terrace with my mom as we are looking for a great place for my grandfather. He's not ready yet, but we know where we would love for him to live. He toured and thought the place was way better than what he was imagining. The staff told us that seems to be what a lot of people thing- a nursing home with shared rooms. This community has private apartments better than most apartments I have ever seen out there. They are spacious, full kitchens with all the appliances, large balconies and upgrades. The community had an entertainer singing and there were 30+ residents having a great time. As we walked around there were so many smiles and you can tell the residents are happy and the staff. Valencia Terrace has been an amazing move for my grandparents. The care and concern the facility provides is top notch. The facilities are like a resort. Chef Jarod is also an amazing chef and provides the most amazing meals. He catered my grandpas 100 birthday party and the brisket was the best I've ever had. And the cake was so moist and delicious. She can do activities thru-out the day, everyday or just relax in her apt without any activity. Her apt is cleaned weekly, her meals are cooked and served, what more could one ask? I am so glad we chose to have my grandmother here. From start to move in, everyone was so helpful. I loved that they offered my grandmother physical therapy and occupational therapy without me even having to ask for it. They set her up with a Dr there so she doesn't have to pick up her meds at the pharmacy, or leave to go to an office or wait MONTHS to see her primary. The Dr can order most things there, and that's amazing! They check on her multiple times a day to remind her to go enjoy the other residents and do activities. They have great activities and off site activities as well. A bonus is the pool if you have kids and other family around when you come visit your loved one. The amenities are great, and the place is always in spectacular shape. They are constantly doing renovations ( with minimal mess) to upgrade their living spaces. Tara, Claudia, and Karen to just name a few, are beyond helpful. Regardless if what you're asking them is "their job" or not, the staff is all willing to help, or direct you to the appropriate person. My grandma is having the time of her life! I felt compelled to write this review because I am a vendor and visit the culinary team on a regular basis. I was there recently and saw a family touring the facility and I wanted so badly to tell them this place is amazing! Your mom will be very happy here! Every time I visit I have at least a few exchanges with the residents and when they find out I am one of their vendors they tell me how wonderful the food is and how much they enjoy it. Everyone there is just so happy. I recently got lost coming out of the dining room and a very sweet resident jumped out of his chair to guide me to the entrance. He just had this spring in his step and such a big smile as he was sitting with his friends chatting and laughing. I was impressed with the community! I have seen many communities over the years and I think Valencia Terrace is one of my favorites in terms of the accommodations for the apartments. I wholeheartedly recommend Valencia Terrace (VT) for you and your loved ones. It is a beautiful retirement home with multi levels of housing and care. My parents, well into their 90's, have lived at VT for several years and even made it through a two year quarantine. You would be impressed with how well staff handled such challenging conditions. The grounds are manicured and landscaped professionally each week and present relaxation and beauty, even in this heat. A big shout out to the landscape team, especially the day to day workers who get out and do the hard stuff! Visit VT, drive the property, and you'll see what I mean. Some independent casitas have small yards and patios which are also maintained. The staff at VT are pretty amazing. Surprisingly, they open themselves up to comments, criticism, and input 24/7 with a smile on their faces. Will some folks have complaints,? Of course? The staff is always right on it and finds way to make any problem better. You can rest assured everyone who works at VT strives to please the residents. They are open to suggestions. The restaurant and meal service is of high quality and creative. The two chefs present new and interesting food selections which is a challenge for any large group, especially the same ones, day in and day out. Monthly birthdays of special menus are much anticipated by all. What's most encouraging to me is that both chefs do not make excuses, they look to improve. Residents have regular meetings with the chef to provide "input." I've dined in the dining room several times and am pleased to see table cloths, assistance with seating, speedy service and very good food! My parents moved here from their own home. When my father was ill, there was assistance and help as needed. It's been a wonderful new home for both of them. There are daily social activities, games, outings, happy hours, pool exercise, full fitness center and theatre room. Each place has a patio and parking spot. All management is working to make this the best place for us or our parents and loved ones to be. Workers all have big smiles on their faces and seem to like working there. Ive toured Valencia Terrace and attended many events there. The staff has always been welcoming and gracious. They greet you with a smile, a hello and introduce themselves. They community is always clean and free of smells. The residents are very active, engaging in activities every time Im there. Once, a resident helped me find the room I was looking for because I forgot my directions. Stephen is an excellent executive director, and his team shows excellence in service at all times. When my mom needed to move out of her house, we researched assisted living homes in the Inland Empire. We saw that Valencia Terrace had the best reviews in the area. We reviewed their inspection information on the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) website and were happy with everything we saw. We decided to visit all of the best reviewed homes in the area, but told my mom that in the end we would most likely want to choose Valencia Terrace based on everything we had read. After looking at several other places and speaking with their staff, we agreed that Valencia Terrace was by far the best choice. My mom has lived there for several months now and it is everything we could have hoped for. It is often referred to as a "cruise on land," and that is an apt description. They have many activities, including exercise and art classes and entertainment. We have eaten in the dining room with my mom many times, and the food is always very good, with a variety of choices. They even offer a full-blown Sunday brunch with an omelet station, waffles, appetizers (shrimp cocktail, anyone?), and two meat/fish entrees with potatoes and veggies. Incredible. All of the staff members have been helpful and friendly, and the aides respond quickly when my mom pushes the assistance button on her pendant. I think that the positive attitude of the staff translates to a positive attitude in the residents, as they are usually very friendly, also. Everyone eagerly looks at all passers-by to say hi. The facility is kept up up very well, and they did everything they promised they would to prepare my mom's apartment for her occupancy. People who visit can't believe this is what assisted living looks like today. The staff does her laundry once a week, changes her sheets, cleans her apartment, and tracks her down wherever she happens to be, several times per day, to give her her medication. We are beyond impressed! Don't hesitate to consider VT for your own parents. It is lovely, fun, and friendly. The residents are in great hands. read more

I would always recommend Valencia Terrace to my families who toured my community which only specialize in Alzheimer's care. Our mom has been at Valencia Terrace for 4 full months now. Everyday the staff interacts with her (by name) and encourages her to join more of the In-House activities. The care she gets ensures that her medications are correct and at the right intervals. They keep a good eye on her without making her feel watched. The food is good with hearty portions. The beautiful grounds provide a resort like atmosphere. Her hairdressor ensures she looks her best every week. She has met some of the residents and it is beginning to feel like home. She absolutely loves her outdoor terrace where she can view the local mountains, get fresh air and care for her plants. We began searching for a senior living facility for my older sister. She was ready to leave her 3 bedroom condo in Downey, where she lived alone for many years, and had health issues. We suggested looking at places here in Corona, near our home, where she would be close to us. Valencia Terrace is nearby. I had walked through the exterior of the complex several times in the past while pushing my granddaughter in her stroller. At the time, I was impressed with the appearance of the facility, the features offered to residents and by the friendliness of people I encountered. We took a guided tour, and even though this was during the height of pandemic restrictions, my sister was immediately excited about the possibilities of life at VT. The precautionary measures in place resulted in zero infections. It seemed that every resident we saw during the tour was content, and every staff member was friendly. After the visit, my sister said we didn't need to look any further. She just needed to sell her place before moving in. Several months later, my sister is happily settled in. She likes each and every staff member, is satisfied with the variety and availability of meals and snacks, and is slowly getting comfortable with living in a smaller place. It won't be long before she begins to take advantage of all the social and wellness activities that are regularly scheduled. Do NOT send your loved one here!!!!!!! Make no mistake about it the grounds are beautiful and spectacular and that's the only reason why I gave them one star. My mom lived there for 5 years over the years and there were so many changes and so many instances and episodes of missed opportunities and poor overall uncoordinated low quality care! Valencia Terrace is more like a hotel And If you're in your 50s or 60s and can get around very well with no assistance you could have a great time there. On the assisted-living side they are unable and do a very poor job in meeting the needs of their residents!!!! They use a social model which doesn't come close to helping so many elderly frail and aging adults who have already moved out of their homes and need help in so many areas. When the pandemic occurred many residents died, became so much worse off, or went to the hospital or their families moved them. They stayed in their rooms with the door closed all day long!!!!!!! The Assisted-living side does not address these issues whatsoever. They have very poor coordination, is a massively large place where the needs of your loved one can easily get very lost and in the end when your loved one will Continue to need more and more help over time- you have to move them to another facility. They have a very poor system of anticipating and addressing the care needs of the residents there. So don't choose this facility!!!!! I had to move my mom To a place where she receives much better care high-quality care and her needs are addressed frequently as they age and become more frail. And in the end this is what needs to happen in any assisted living facility but this does not happen at VT. Don't be fooled by how beautiful the grounds are. If you didn't move into VT when you were in your 60s then now when you need help is NOT the time to go!!! I had to constantly go up there many times to make sure my mom was getting the care she needed because they were so many times when things didn't get done. Choose a place where their needs will be embraced as they age and become more fragile. VT is not the place. They do not have the staff to provide good activities. They do not have the staff to provide all the extra care and help that aging adults need. It's 1 Caregiver to about 15 or 20 residents The executive director in July 2020 was mean hurtful offensive, scolded me when I brought these issues up and fabricated all kind of nonsense that were not happening, and extremely rude!!!!!!! I had my friend at Care Patrol find me the perfect place for my parents. She knows them so it was easy for her. She had us tour Valencia Terrace, we threw our credit card down and got a casita before even putting my parents house in the market. We cannot say enough great things about VT. My parents are 20 years younger since moving in. They LOVE IT! The staff is AMAZING! If a light bulb goes out, the staff is there in 10 minutes fixing it with a smile on their face. The residents check in daily, we forgot to check in when moving in. The staff showed up to make sure my parents were ok. Seriously..... this place has helped me and my husband have peace of mind. A few weeks ago, I moved my grandmother into Valencia Terrace. We initially met with Stephen, who was amazingly patient and did a great job educating us about the benefits of independent living. He was very compassionate and he understood that my grandmother wasn't ready to leave the home she had lived in for 55 years. In order to make a decision, my grandma had to come back 3 times to tour! She isn't one who makes decisions fast. Stephen never got frustrated, and he realized that she needed to make the decision in her own time. Once she decided to move in, Stephen and the rest of the team was absolutely amazing! They accommodated every request we had, and they even let us come for lunch a few times for free to get acquainted with the community! The apartment is in pristine condition and my grandmother is now surrounded by wonderful people who dine with her and engage in the many activities they offer! She is even giving up driving because she knows she can take advantage of their free shuttle! I am thoroughly pleased with the decision and i would absolutely recommend Valencia terrace to anyone looking for a high quality living experience! read more

My mom has been livings at Valencia Terrace for 5 1/2 years. Unfortunately, due to her advanced dementia she had to move to a memory care facility. If it was not for her dementia she would still be living there. Valencia Terrace was a wonderful place to live . The staff was incredible and attended to all my mothers needs. The front desk staff, house keeping, maintenance and food staff where incredible. Especially the front desk staff, they where like a concierge desk at a 5 star hotel .
