My name is Mr. Lee, Terrence. I recently had a hip replacement and I elected to have inpatient care following the surgery. I had a choice between Montclair Manor Care Center, and other facilities. I chose Montclair Manor Care Center, (MMCC) based on intuition alone. turned out my intuition lead me to the best choice I believe I could've made, as it relates to my inpatient therapy. I never been in a care center prior to my stay at Montclair Manor, so I don't have history to draw on to make a fair comparison. But what I do recognize is great organizational structure, professionalisms, hospitality, genuineness, and sincerity. Which was on full display. The Management Team was, simply amazing, from the day they welcome me, and introduce themselves, to the day I checked out. The entire staff was extremely hospitable, very welcoming and they were tentative to my needs the entire time, I was at the Care Center. The nurses, and therapist in my opinion must be some of the best in the business. Judging by their character, and compassion, they honestly care! I felt like I was in the best hands at all times. everyone was great, and I do mean everyone. It was evident that, cleanliness, patient care, and tentativeness is at a premium. I have to shout out to the therapy staff that provided my rehab, they are just awesome, very thorough, very consistent, always focused on the need to take extra precautions, safety, and doing things the right way was a top priority, and I really appreciate that. I have to have my left hip replace also in the next 3-4 months, needless to say I will be recovering , and under going my therapy at Montclair Manor Care Center. Recently, I placed my brother at Montclair Manor care Center on respite care for two weeks while being there he contracted Covid-19 I was not informed prior to him going there that they had a Covid outbreak break . My brother has never had Covid-19 I was very unhappy to why they handle the situation with him they place him into a room where they have other patients with Covid 19 facility should be investigated by OSHA to see if they are following the guidelines for the care of the patients the staff is coming to work with COVID-19 is not being tested prior to coming into the facility. He contracted Covid from one of the nurse that was taking care of him. If I had known there was a Covid outbreak I would never have taken him there I will be filing a complaint with OSHA today. read more

Due to the extreme deficiencies in this facility, I insisted on being discharged. I convinced them to send me home, where my Home Health nurses and I can do a much better job. Unfortunately, it may be too late. For the first time there is a distinct odor from my wounds, which indicates infection. Take my advice, NEVER go here, or send a family member here. read more

This place is a horrible facility My husband was kept in a soiled diaper although he requested to use the bathroom I witnessed this personally. Thanksgiving I cooked and took dinner to him to discover his room empty and no sheets on his bed They informed me he was "outside " having pie It took my several minutes to find him alone in a wheelchair with no supervision. He had moved himself along with his feet all the was outside a perimeter fence, through a gate that was unlocked back behind the facility. I found him yelling and crying. They were not even aware he was gone The lack of care is totally unconscionable Annabelle told the insurance provider he was doing so good he was walking up and down the halls a lie because he cannot walk. Do not every leave your parent or loved one here!!!! They lie & cover up abuse for each other. An orderly admitted on video to threatening my father with violence and leaving my dad on the floor all night to defecate on himself when he could not walk. He had to call 911 to get out of the facility. They also stole from him & had to pay me for the items. The worst experience ever. When we were at the Montclair Hospital, there was another elderly gentleman that was also taken to the hospital via 911 because he fell out of a bed and broke a bone. read more

Montclair Manor is a skilled nursing facility. The care was excellent for our mothers for four months that she was there. The facility is very clean. No odor whatsoever. The staff was all very kind considerate and loving. They treated my mother like a family members. The staff answered all our questions whenever we had any. We would come back if needed. read more

My sister LeAnn has been in many of these places. All of them had multiple problems and I pulled her out of each of them. After being discharged from ICU at county hospital LeAnn came here a year ago. This is the cleanest nursing home she's seen in 7 years. The staff here, including Letty Angel, Luis Arcoz and Ella Humilde, is caring and professional and LeAnn is always clean and cared for. I would stay here myself if I were recovering from something. My father has stayed there about a few weeks and they have been great. Very accommodating! Annabelle has been so great, understanding and very helpful! Luis (social worker) has been awesome, as well. Really tried to make sure my dad was taken care of after we left the facility. Karla- my dad's FAVORITE nurse. My dad did not eat very well in the beginning of his stay. With Karla.. he ate so much better which resulted him gaining his strength in which I'm extremely thankful for. I am very appreciate of the staff here. read more

My father-in-law spent his last 19 months here before he passed this November. The staff here feels like family and they took great care of him. The nurses were very responsible and even as my father got COVID, they were very accommodating toward him. He managed to recover from COVID before he passed due to old age. In all, the care that he received from Montclair Manor helped put our whole family at ease, even during this difficult time. If you ever choose this faculty, just know that your loved ones will be greatly looked after. read more

This place is awful. they have bed bugs here. On lady yells all the time about it, while one lady has die from the bed bug bites. Do nnot take your family members here. The food looks as if it has been in the trash and then serviced to the patients there. They loe about the quality of care for your love ones. Trust me go somewhere Else. My Mother has been a resident of Montclair Manor for 11+ years. During this time I have found Montclair Manor staff to be very professional and friendly. They take care of my Mom as if she was family. Since I am her healthcare advocate, Montclair Manor always keeps me advised as to her condition or any alterations in her daily treatment. When an issue does occur, Montclair Manor has been forthright in addressing and resolving the issue. The facility and the rooms are always clean. We had a positive experience at Montclair Manor Care Center. My 86-year old father stayed there for a month after surgery and he was very well cared for. Everyone was so nice and friendly. It was not an easy decision for our family to put my Dad in a facility even just for a short term but it was strongly recommended by the doctor as my father needed 100% assistance. From my very first encounter with the Case Manager, Annabelle, I felt very comfortable and actually felt at peace about entrusting them with my dad's care. The administrative staff, the nurses, the therapists...they were all wonderful. I never felt uneasy about asking them anything, they were always welcoming and accommodating. I am not going to name names because I don't want to leave anyone out but suffice to say, every single one of them I had the pleasure of meeting was simply wonderful, I consider them as friends. For Dad, of course, there is no better place than home but this facility gave him the care and assistance and our family the peace of mind we needed during the time that Dad had to be away from home. I absolutely love Monclair manner they make you feel like it is your home I had my mom there for many years unfortunately she passed a year ago but I love the staff they are absolutely amazing they go far and beyond of their duty for whatever your needs.Luis is so accommodating anything you ask him for he will find it in his heart to do it he will take the time to go out of his way to see how each resident is doing and put a smile on their face like he did my mom every day he would go in and check on her it made us feel so at peace to know my mom was loved and cared for. if you are looking for A retirement home or your mom or dad or family member just to give you peace of mind this is a Best place for them always there for their residence keeping them busy active and attending to all of their needs I've been there different hours of the day even late at night and it's the same all of the time.
