Went to Dinner with my mom and big sis to this Dominican Restaurant in Stuart, and we will definitely be back! Mofongo, churrasco, pernil, chicharrónes, empanadas & some Flan for dessert- all was very delicious and savory. @merenguelatincuisine got it right! Such a cute place too, in the Publix shopping plaza, plenty of parking and the inside was nicely decorated. We were served by the owner, who did not hesitate to make sure all of our needs were met. Very attentive and food was fresh and came out quick. Can't wait to go back and try other delicacies from the Dominican Republic.

    Nice, bright and clean location.

The food is delicious. I really love their empanadas with the homemade hot sauce. The staff is very friendly. The restaurant itself is very clean and welcoming. The parking next to the restaurant is easy to access and is shaded by beautiful trees. Great place! Update. On Father's Day, we used Merengue for catering. We ordered roasted pork, pollo guisado, congri(black beans mixed with rice), mojo yuca, fried yucca, empanadas and flan. Everything was delicious. Our guests loved the food. The portions were big. Everyone went home with to go boxes. Great job Merengue!

Food and service were both superb. Who would have known that this small hidden gem was the place for authentic Dominican cuisine. Had both the trifongo and Penil with pinto beans and egg plant (I know, what a combination), but everything was great.. It was an excellent dining experience. ** Recommended **

Service Animal rights protected by Federal Law

I came in with my service dog, and the restaurant refused to let me order unless I showed "ID" for my dog or proof of disability. This is illegal and discriminatory. When I explained the law, the server dismissed me and showed no care or hospitality. I left without being served. Very unprofessional and unacceptable.

This place is really solid. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars in our book is the price of the Can Can and the fact they always add a $2 "service fee" to our check. Lame. The people are very nice and they have great flavors. They speak english and spanish.

Excellent place! Service was fantastic! After a morning of hiking in Hobe Sound we felt like something substantial and flavorful for lunch. My sister in law visited this family owned restaurant a few weeks ago for lunch and highly recommended we check it out. Merengue Dominica Restaurant is located in the downtown Stuart Publix plaza where it was easy to find. The restaurant sits on the northwest corner near Palm City Road adject to Publix. The restaurant has a convenient shaded parking area and a doggy stroll area on the North side adjacent to Palm City Road. The restaurant has an exterior shaded sitting area lined with palms for privacy which also compliments the simple clean elegance of the sitting area. The tables were simply dressed with a white tablecloth and cloth napkins wrapped the spotless silverware. It reminded me of our visit to the outdoor cafes in Paris. Each table outside was complimented by a simple flower arrangement of white babies breath flowers framed by lite green ferns with miniature leaves. A minor touch that spoke volumes to the owners attention to detail. We went inside to ask if we could sit outside with our Furry baby, KC, a two year old golden retriever. The staff were very friendly, extremely gracious and welcoming to our family. We found a quiet table outside where KC could lay on the tile and drink her water. Juan, our waiter, immediately came out to check and see what we would like to start with and answer any question. Juan spoke to my husband in perfect English offering a variety of beers from the Caribbean, Santo Domingo, and South America as well as explaining the menu. As a native Spanish speaker I asked him a few questions in Spanish and a warm friendly smile lit up his face. He went on to explain that they offer a unique and irresistible selection of fresh juices that can be blended with ice, milk or yoghurt to create a delicious smoothy called "Batidos". Choosing a non alcoholic Passion Fruit juice batido, my husband, Eric, agreed it was the right choice for me, LOL. Juan thoughtfully offered to bring KC a bowl of iced water as well. We placed our order of appetizers of 2 empanadas, a chicken and a beef, with a sweet savory, dipping sauce. Their menu has offers an assortment of dishes from appetizers, salad, sandwiches, and Dominican entrees. We decided to share an lunch entree of tri-fongo. Mofongo is a purée usually of plantains, pork rinds, broth and garlic. The Tri-Fongo is a blend of 3 starches, green and sweet plantain with yuca (cassava) with a blend of crunchy pork rinds. This entree came with a generous serving of their home roasted pork sautéed onions with mojo and broth. Everything was terrific! We will be back again soon!

Our waitress was friendly and helpful, recommending the Mofongo con Camarones al Ajillo, which came in a rich, creamy garlic sauce--absolutely delicious. We also ordered the churrasco steak, perfectly grilled and served with a flavorful chimichurri sauce. What really stood out were the traditional Dominican offerings you don't see everywhere, like Con Con/Pegao--the crunchy rice from the bottom of the pot, which was a nostalgic treat. For drinks, we had the Morir Soñando (orange juice with condensed milk), refreshing and sweet. We were a party of six and seated comfortably without issue. Overall, Las Americas offers great food, a warm atmosphere, and an authentic local experience. We'll definitely be back!

If you've never heard of Sushi Aplatanao, you're in for a treat! FoodTok FL is a food truck…read morebringing a bold and creative fusion of Dominican and Japanese flavors, and trust me--it's not your average sushi spot. The term "aplatanao" is Dominican slang for being deeply connected to Dominican culture, and that's exactly what this sushi is: a Dominicanized take on Japanese sushi, packed with flavor and personality. Forget raw fish and delicate flavors--this sushi is all about big, bold, and cooked ingredients that blend the best of both worlds. Some of the signature Dominican touches include: - Sweet plantains (maduros) for a little natural sweetness - Fried cheese, because, well, cheese makes everything better - Salami, adding that smoky, savory Dominican touch - Guacamole, swapping out wasabi for a creamy, flavorful kick - Churrasco (grilled steak), giving sushi a hearty twist - Chicken (fried chicken), for those rolls that love white meat Wrapped up in sushi rice and nori, then topped with house-made sauces, the result is a delicious mix of sweet, savory, crispy, and creamy flavors in every bite. A Must-Try: The Villa Juana | Domi Roll One of their standout rolls is the Villa Juana Roll, named after a well-known Dominican neighborhood. It's got fried cheese, sweet plantains, Dominican salami, and a drizzle of their special sauce, making it a perfect example of this fusion style. Every bite is an explosion of flavors that'll have you questioning why sushi didn't always taste like this! If that doesn't appeal you, then just go for their traditional rolls in the box, such as Spicy Tuna, Kalifornia, Salmon roll, JB roll, etc. Service it's amazing and both the chef and the sous chef are great hosts. Love this place and will be coming back for sure!

Funny enough, I'm not really a rice girl but the seasoning was a great compliment to the veggies in this bowl. Last but not least, the NO FEAR ROLL a great serving size with a delicious cilantro verde vinaigrette! Such great mixes of flavors and all made within 10-15 minutes.
