This spot is absolutely phenomenal. Fresh food, friendly service, and fairly priced. Skip the Mercado and give this place a shot.

I've been by this place hundred times and never went in because the windows were completely covered…read morewith drapes. They took them down and now I can see inside and decided to have lunch. I don't know if it was a good thing or not. The service was kind of sketch, the police was very plain, and the menu was not very easy to read. I ended up ordering a meat dish and don't know what it was called. It came with rice, beans, coleslaw, tortillas and plantains The rice was good, the coleslaw was good and the sprite was good. This is the first time I ate plantains and did not care for them so much. The coleslaw was excellent. I also didn't care too much for the meat. The flavor was OK, but they were bits of bone in it I wasn't prepared for. Almost broke a tooth. The food was OK and very generous. But I do not think I will return here as it's just not my flavor.

I've never specifically sought out Honduran food before, but I checked out Sabor Catracho based on…read morethe recommendation of a coworker recently. And what a fascinating experience! I'll definitely be returning to try more dishes in the future. I was given explicit instruction to try this dish, and nothing else on my first visit as it's apparently a favorite dish in Honduras. It consists of a bed of fried plantains, topped with a cabbage slaw, fried chicken, and a blend of delicious sauces. It's definitely a shareable dish as you can see from the video I've posted, and it's super delicious! Savor Catracho has a giant dining room painted a very striking Honduran blue. One interesting quirk is that every single chair (not the tables) is bolted to the floor. I've never encountered this before, but the seats were comfortable nonetheless. Check this place out, you won't regret it!

Elected to choose this place when the food truck I wanted to dine at was closed, and it was all…read morearound an interesting experience. The cashier was quite young - I'm bad with ages of kids - my gut says 10/12 but who knows, could have been 16 or older. I ordered a few items, and upon ordering asked how long the order would take (my husbands food already was done and he was eating so I was literally just curious) and she said, "whenever it's ready." LOL And then I asked if they offer any hot sauces or anything and she said "whatever it comes with." Okie dokie. About 20 minutes later i noticed the cart had a closed sign now so I came over to check in, and when I asked about the status of the order, same employee said "whenever your pager buzzes its ready." Obviously this is a family business and this individual is supporting the family business and probably working through a summer break - and I was literally just curious and in no hurry - I worry about her interactions with anyone more intrepid. Or perhaps the dismissive nature would shield them from being affected. Regardless - food was ok. Well cooked - but at least for me it really needed some kind of spice - like a hot sauce LOL
