They detailed the boat, gave us bumpers, life vests, and 4 lines so we could tie the boat off. I felt we paid a reasonable amount, I was happy, and took delivery Labor Day weekend. I would highly recommend Goodhue Boat Co.

This being our first boat Zach was extremely informative explaining everything to us to make our buying decision seemless. He was a great resource and exercised patience with me as I tend to have a lot of questions. Shortly after we purchased it we had some issues with it starting and/or running. It seems that muskrats like to get into the engine area of a boat and chew on the wires because soy is one of the ingredients used in the wire casing... who knew? They were very responsive to help us and inspected the boat, diagnosed the issue and took the boat in for service. We were without our boat for 2 weekends in a row as parts were needed and had to be ordered. This is where it gets better. We had company coming up both weekends, when I posed our issue to them they made sure we had a rental both weekends so our entertaining didn't miss a beat. Shout out to McKenzie, she saved us from having to break the news to our guests that we wouldn't be going out on the lake. Rentals are in high demand at this time of year at Winnisquam Marine but McKenzie made sure we had one each weekend to entertain our guests. She was instrumental in helping us make sure our plans went off without a hitch. Thank you so much McKenzie! Then there is the staff, amazing group of people. I'm sorry if I didn't get all of your names but know you were all appreciated. A few mentions going out to Bob in service, Ray and Wes on the docks. Once again, they were so patient with me as I'm learning boating for the first time. You all made my experience with Winnisquam Marine outstanding. You have a customer for life.

Everyone kept telling me they couldn't even look at it for 2 weeks and that it would most likely be costly from what I was describing. I had just about thrown in the towel when I asked and got a tip from a girl that lives in the area and works at Jo Jo's (a great local store). She spoke highly of them because her dad gets all his service there. I trailered my boat and drove it over to Lane's End. I was greeted by the service manager (think his name was Tim?) who was so much more professional than people at other marina's I had been dealing with. He looked things over quick and you could just tell that he really knew what he was talking about. He gave me some prices up front and told me how long he thought it would take. I had my boat back in the water in just 2 days (and that was only because they had to get a part for it). And they were 100% fair on cost. It is rare anymore that a business will find you in a desperate situation and not try to take advantage of you............Can't say enough about how great they were. I will recommend this place to everyone.

Ally immediately told me to call Tom and he would take care of fixing my trailer. Tom was extremely helpful and had someone at my house assessing the damage the next day. They picked up my trailer, fixed it, and brought it back to my house. They even lifted my jet ski, that was sitting on tires in my yard, and placed it on the fixed trailer. Tom was awesome! He kept me in the loop the whole time! Wow, if your boat is going to fall off your trailer better hope Ally is following you! Thank you so much Ally and Tom!! Brenda Wolfeboro NH

Yes, I was the first to review Trexler's on Yelp in 2017. I bought a pontoon boat from Trexler's…read moreand had been getting winter storage and service from them for 7 winters and 8 summers. Without warning I got a call from Scott on Labor Day weekend, and he informed me that he no longer wanted to store and service my boat. He said it was a transport safety issue because of the configuration of my boat, but if I had a trailer it would be fine. So I went to get a proper fitted trailer for it, only to find out, this time from Denise, that my toon was too big (like the other 35 toons stored there?) unwieldy (like the other 35 toons stored there?), they are trying to get away from shrink-wrapping boats (like the other 35 toons stored there?) and they are shorthanded (I believe this one may be true). So, I stared at her as she lied to me, and just smiled at her. I'm not dumb, I get the message... As a full-timer resident at the lake, I spoke to a few of my Moultonborough friends, who have been living here for a whole lot longer than I have. They told me that they had seen it before from Trexler's (and 2 others). Apparently, they knock out lower-value customers to get higher-value ones when they are full. It's a business decision based on two things. First, Scott likely made a number of $100,000 scores in new boat sales this summer, and the owners of course expect winter storage, and second, all I ever pay to them, other than winter storage fees, is an oil change every 2 years. Between the two, I am just not worth it to them. Too small a fish, it would seem, when so many whales are right in front of them. It's even possible that they decided who would have to go much earlier than September. If that is so, waiting so long to tell me before the winter storage time is really a "low-rent" move, indeed. Thankfully, with the new trailer, my choices for boatyards went way up. I found a replacement, and unlike Trexler's, most of the marinas have a much better reputation in how they treat their long-term customers. I was smart enough to check them out with my longer-term lake friends this time. I bring this up to stress to you that, (1) you should always solicit ideas from your full-time lake boat-owner friends before selecting a boatyard. It is small up here, and everyone knows everyone. You can easily get info on who the reputable and not reputable folks are. Most of the boatyard owners know that word-of-mouth is an important part of their sustainable business, but let's face it, it's boom times up here, so the allure of more and easy money is strong. (2) if you have your boat stored and serviced at Trexler's, including the folks who just bought those $100,000 boats from them, you may become a long timer with them for years, but have minimal boat issues. I would warn you to be on the lookout for that Labor Day weekend call. You won't know when your number comes up! In the end, it's a business decision, and that trumps everything. No hard feelings, old chap!
