This place is run down, the manager is rude, there is geese pop everywhere, there is no AC, you have to bring your own sheets, parking is awful, no visitors allowed. I would never go back there again. read more

I knew what I was walking into. I knew it had not been updated. However, it would be nice to have the plumbing not smell. Like when we took showers it smelled same if you used the faucet. We didn't complain because we knew it was booked sold. A few other guest also said the same thing. read more

Ok so, there are pros and cons to this place, but unfortunately for us the con is too important so we will not be back. Pros: room is very clean, good staff ready to remake your room early if you want, big pool also taken care of, water is clean but doesn't stink of chlorine. The rooms are right on the lake which is warm and has a great beach area thats kept up well and has umbrella tables and chairs available. The motel is right across the street from the concert pavilion so no need to pay for parking - just walk over. We brought a small grill and put it outside our patio for burgers and hot dogs. This was all perfect. Cons: No Air Conditioning! Rooms are supplied with oscillating fans. We completely boiled in the room the first night and baked in it the next day. There was no way to escape from the heat. Even tho you have the pool and lake, the sun is still on top of you. The rooms are a heat box in the summer. So, because of the discomfort with that one thing, we wont be back. If you are able to withstand the heat like that, then the rest of the motel is really pretty great. Will the Kardashians be staying here anytime soon? No. This motel/resort is NOT fancy. But members of my family have been coming here for years, because if you want to have a peaceful lake vacation and seriously chill out and do nothing, this is your place. The rooms are outdated as all get-out BUT they are charming and have 1/2 kitchens, ie two burner stove, dorm fridge, which is important to me, because if I don't eat within an hour of waking I want to impale myself. I can't speak to the suites/cottages but they all seem to rent out about a year in advance. This is a great place if you have little kids because they can go from the outdoor pool (which has really lovely flowers surrounding it and cute 1950's designed tables/umbrellas) down to the beach to their heart's content. The scale of the whole place is quite manageable so you won't feel too fatigued shlepping your kids' buckets/towels/snacks around. There are no communal outdoor grills which is a buzz kill since the local food scene is pretty abysmal. However it looks like some people BYO. read more

It's not the Ritz and doesn't pretend to be, it's super charming, affordable lake front, and best of all pink! I would love to give this a 5 star rating but as much as I loved it, others may not be so willing to overlook the obvious, such as no A/C, older outdated buildings, as well as old furniture. They keep the place very clean, paper the drawers and provide fans. The staff was super friendly especially Susan and Kay both over the phone and in person. We stayed in a 3 bedroom cottage. I would not recommend for 6 adults, but would be ideal for a family with children. And just as an FYI, there are a very limited number of electrical outlets & most are 2 prong. We had a boat for the week and were able to dock for a small fee. I'd go back in a second, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to friends and/or family. read more

Best place to stay on Winnipesaukee! So you have no air conditioning, who cares? I'm here for the lake. Rooms are immaculate and owner and staff are amazing and will do anything to help you! I've been coming to the motel 16 years now and wouldn't think of renting at another motel! I now have my whole family renting rooms and loving it! read more

I rented a room here this past weekend and when I brought it to the front desk's attention that they had charged me nearly 50% more than the cost their website indicated for that room for that night I was told that they were aware of the issues and that the manager would call or stop by my room shortly. Two hours later, I returned to the front desk. It was explained to me that the manager had been spoken to and that she was not available to speak with me. It was also explained to me that the website had been retroactively changed to reflect the inflated price I was charged. This information was delivered with a smirk. I was shocked that a business could be so sketchy. It makes me feel nervous about the idea of putting a credit card in the hands of people who would act in such a sneaky and deceiving manner. I probably wouldn't bother coming on here to complain about how they wouldn't let me use an extra towel to dry my hair, but it seemed important that people know what this place is willing to do to squeeze an extra dollar out of someone.
