He was a great resource and exercised patience with me as I tend to have a lot of questions. Shortly after we purchased it we had some issues with it starting and/or running. It seems that muskrats like to get into the engine area of a boat and chew on the wires because soy is one of the ingredients used in the wire casing... who knew? They were very responsive to help us and inspected the boat, diagnosed the issue and took the boat in for service. We were without our boat for 2 weekends in a row as parts were needed and had to be ordered. This is where it gets better. We had company coming up both weekends, when I posed our issue to them they made sure we had a rental both weekends so our entertaining didn't miss a beat. Shout out to McKenzie, she saved us from having to break the news to our guests that we wouldn't be going out on the lake. Rentals are in high demand at this time of year at Winnisquam Marine but McKenzie made sure we had one each weekend to entertain our guests. She was instrumental in helping us make sure our plans went off without a hitch. Thank you so much McKenzie! Then there is the staff, amazing group of people. I've been waiting for my boat since last summer. Raj, my salesman, has been great. The rest of the staff are positive and enjoyable folks through my interactions...I enjoy when they poke fun at Raj (sorry Raj haha). I noticed issues from the factory, they took care of the critical stuff and will take care of the rest when I bring the boat back in. It was easy, and they were attentive to my concerns and friendly. Good service overall, with some issues 2 years of the 13. But, those were well handled. NOT this year, as I requested my boat mid-May with down payment as I usually do. They could not perform until after memorial day! I have heated storage and pay for full service of my boat every year. But being a long term well paying customer is now ignored. When my boat was not ready at Memorial day weekend, I then asked for a short delay for delivery (service could continue). They did nothing to ready my boat. I am now waiting another 1.5+ weeks, hopefully to get the boat. New ownership is not able to keep up with heated storage and full service. I would buy a boat somewhere else if you are expecting loyalty in service.

(Especially considering I just got here for my week of summer vacation, so if I wait for this place, my vacation will be done and I won't have used the boat at all.) Independent Marine sent someone to our place the same day. I think we called around 10 a.m. and James came to our place around 1:30 p.m. He quickly figured out what the problem was, showed me what was causing it and what part needed to be replaced. I'm sure he would have done it for me if I wasn't up to the task, but he was happy to teach me / show me what was wrong and let me do it myself.

They winterized it, stored it, and got it ready for a June pick-up. I'm now dealing with the service department, and I feel they are bending over backwards to accommodate us. She spoke highly of them because her dad gets all his service there. I trailered my boat and drove it over to Lane's End. I was greeted by the service manager (think his name was Tim?) who was so much more professional than people at other marina's I had been dealing with. He looked things over quick and you could just tell that he really knew what he was talking about. He gave me some prices up front and told me how long he thought it would take. I had my boat back in the water in just 2 days (and that was only because they had to get a part for it). And they were 100% fair on cost. It is rare anymore that a business will find you in a desperate situation and not try to take advantage of you............Can't say enough about how great they were. I will recommend this place to everyone.
