I've been a long time client here at MercyOne Waukee. I was a patient of Dr. Brady's for a few…read moreyears and then moved to Dr. Bowshier when Dr. Brady left. No words I can write can do justice to how I feel about Dr. Bowshier. She is empathetic and listens...I feel she genuinely cares about me at a person. She also doesn't let me pull my normal stuff...which I need. She doesn't let me get lazy in my healthcare and holds my feet to the fire when she needs to. She understands that I want to be around for my family for as long as I can she supports me in this. Parking here is easy...it's a large lot. The staff at the front is always polite and easy to work with. Dr.Bowshier has had several nurses over the years I've been seeing her; all have been good people to work with. The phlebotomists drawing blood etc. for lab work are all great and really know what they are doing...and I'm a hard stick. I miss Cindy..., but got to give a shout out to Haley! Not a fan of the conversion over to Trinity and their processes...but I'll deal with it. Change is hard sometimes. Lol I can't recommend Dr. Bowshier and MercyOne Waukee enough!

I quit smoking…read morenearly 9 years ago, and thanks to Dr. Bowshier's consistent encouragement, I began taking advantage of the annual lung CT scans covered by Medicare. This year, one of those scans caught a small spot on my lung that hadn't been there before. After further testing, I was diagnosed with stage one lung cancer. Because it was found so early, a small portion of my lung was removed -- and I didn't need chemo or radiation. I am 100% convinced that Dr. Bowshier's proactive care saved my life. Her attentiveness, guidance, and genuine concern for her patients are truly exceptional. I will be forever grateful to her. Dr. Laura Bowshier is simply the best.

I took my son in to be seen for ear infection. The staff declined seeing my so. because I did not…read morehave his insurance card on hand (divorced family dad had card). My daughter had been seen the week before and I requested they grab the insurance information from her account. They told me they could not do that because she was not present. She was actually waiting in my car so I asked her to come in and give permission to release insurance info so my son could be seen. They declined. I got frustrated at the situation. told them my son was in pain and to please just submit to the same insurance. they told me they would not do that. I asked to speak w a manager who told me the same. I left the clinic and went to another where my son was diagnosed w severe swimmers ear. The staff took the liberty of calling my ex husband who is also a doctor to laugh about the encounter, they denied my son medical attention for personal vindication. no professionalism or holding my sons medical need in any regard.

The radiology department is a totally complete joke, they cannot seem to get orders that have been…read moresent to them from practices outside of Iowa Clinic correct, and then all the sudden they lose orders completely from other clinics, when asking for practices to move radiology orders completely to another radiology group They also mess that up and find out they didn't get pre-authorizations that they should have gotten weeks ago

He always is cheerful and is concerned about my care.He keeps me posted as to my needs in vaccinations and my overall general health. The clinic staff is great too,always checking me in promptly and the waiting area is clean and large so you can social distance. The lab is right down the corridor so it is very handy,plus the girls know there way around the needle and do a great job in taking blood, Thank you unity point for all you do for our well being!

I do not recommend seeing him unless you have something easy to diagnose like a broken bone or a sinus infection. But at least he's got great bedside manner.
