Dr. Birnbaum himself is very intelligent and will explain things in detail, I have been his patient…read morefor almost 9 years. He treats both my hypothyroidism and my type 2 diabetes, helping me choose medication with the least amount of filler or additives, approving any tests i want to do, and he guided me through my pregnancy successfully. He is not pushy, so do your research and ask your own questions - express your concerns, request more tests if you want them. He is the type of endochrinologist who will emphasize sourcing quality food and eating the right amount, under his care i lost 90 lbs with little change to my lifestyle. He is old fashioned but I like it that way.

I am writing this review to help others and to warn others or anyone wanting this Doctor's care. I…read moreformally express my extreme distress and concern regarding the medical care provided to my late husband, who tragically passed away at 51 years old due to cardiac arrest approximately three weeks after his last visit to your office, where my husband was your patient for over 5 years while entrusted to your care, and you failed him. He was a walking time bomb with three blocked coronary arteries at 97%, an enlarged heart, and arteriosclerosis. If you would of been proactive as all diabetic patients are at increased risk of heart disease he would be here today but instead you left me a single Mom with 3 children. I was shocked and deeply disturbed when, during my phone call to you informing you of his death, I asked you why, with Type 2- Diabetes and a family history of heart disease, you did not send my 51-year-old husband to a cardiologist. Your answer, "HE HAD NO SYMPTOMS," SO BASICALLY YOU DON'T BELIEVE IN PREVENTATIVE CARE. Then, to my surprise, despite having his records, they show otherwise. The apparent alteration of medical records to cover up this serious omission is unacceptable and deeply troubling, as it is easy to do since you are not electronic; you still take notes on paper. It is highly concerning that your practice still relies on handwritten notes rather than electronic health records, which allows for record manipulation. I urge you to reflect on the serious consequences your lack of thoroughness has had on my family, and I hope you will consider retiring before any other lives are needlessly endangered. Furthermore, I was also a patient of yours for hyperthyroidism, and during my treatment, you never thoroughly examined my neck for nodules or checked my eyes. This negligence in basic preventative care only reinforces the lack of diligence in your practice, which tragically contributed to my husband's death. Sad but I am not the only one that has said this and knows of you Dr. Birnbaum. I dont write this reveiw lightly but with complete facts behind it SHAME ON YOU how do you life with yourself?

As my kidney troubles appeared, I was referred to Dr Win Palecki who has taken excellent care of me…read more! Following some tests, etc. we decided I had to go further, and am scheduled for surgery shortly to correct my condition. Always friendly and explanatory, and a great support staff !

Well, I had no idea I needed one of these super special Dr's, but evidently when you have high…read moreblood pressure and wind up in the hospital because of it and having a dodgy heart---- sometimes a cardiologist isn't enough. So, they give you one of these Dr's to make sure your body is running like a well oiled engine. Dr. Brouder happens to be the lucky Dr that got me for a patient. I kinda felt bad for him because I am not the easiest of patients when under stress and I always have a gazillion questions, posed in different ways so that I "GET" what is being said. Dr. Brouder visited me in the hospital and right away he out me at ease, he was very nice, went over all the things that needed to be checked, tests I was going to have and really had a nice soft understanding nature about him. I liked it, because he also took my family into consideration and made it so that family understood what was going on as well. I had a follow-up appointment with him after I was out of the hospital and that was also a very easy going relaxed experience. His staff is very professional, friendly and polite, great front office staff as well as back of the house crew, my great appreciation. Obviously, I will be having more future visits to this office and I can honestly say, I am not dreading it, because the staff as a whole, treats you as a person and patient, not a number or a dollar sign, you may have to wait a bit in the lobby when it comes to appointment times, but sometimes some appointments take longer that are ahead of you, so I was cool with that since I didn't feel rushed once it was my turn.
