Case in point: I had a pretty bad allergic reaction around my eye. On a Sunday I visited a walk in clinic run by Abington Hospital (excellent) and they treated it with antibiotics and told me to make sure my doc sees it the following day. (There can be an issue of infection with bites and your eye is basically an extension of your brain so it has to be watched and evaluated daily as you don't want a brain infection). I walked into the empty waiting room and asked to see any doc for a quick look. The receptionist said, "Our records are now all digital so I can't get you in." I then pointed out the waiting room was rather empty and I would be happy to wait until someone could "squeeze me in". 15 min later a nurse came out and said they were "overwhelmed" (her words) and there was no one who would have time to see me. (Waiting room was still empty). I have worked in a medical hospital for a few years and I can tell you they have no idea what "overwhelmed" means. This office has a moral obligation to treat patients who walk in and have an issue that needs immediate attention. This staff has no idea what that means or care if they help you or not. What makes CHOP Kids First stand apart is that when any issues that arise Dr Ingersoll is on the phone talking to me , explaining everything. She gives you thorough information so that you can make an informed decision. When my youngest child was born Dr Ingersoll visited my baby in the hospital. There is just not enough I could say about them! I've tried others (because I moved into Montgomery county and wanted to try something closer to home), but I ended up right back. I have since relocated to Arizona and my girls fly home to visit for their primary care physician, Dr Ingersoll that's how much I believe in them!

She got weekly shots for more than a year. Never saw the doctor again. Was never asked to see the doctor again. I stopped going into the office with her because they were always asking me for money without telling me what it's even for. Over the last year, I paid more than $1,000 out of pocket ... FOR SHOTS, which they had told us would be free when we started. Yes, we have insurance. I have never been harassed so aggressively for money by a healthcare practice -- by phone, by text and in person -- and all BEFORE I ever received a bill. My experience at Chestnut Hill led me to the impression that this practice just wants my money and doesn't give a crap about my daughter's health. Terribly stressful and upsetting ... and expensive.

I had a physical done here. You have no way of accessing your results yourself. They do not email…read morethem, or have an online portal. You can only get them from someone on the medical staff calling you with them. When the representative called they said all the results were good/normal. When I pressed about the blood sugar results it turns out I was actually in prediabetic range. I'm not sure how this could be considered normal or "good". Also, I would have never had known this had I not specifically asked to have the exact number. My doctor, while there, also made sexist comments about my name. Also while there during my visit, certain results from tests that did not need to be sent off had been thrown away. My doctor literally retrieved documents from a trashcan to consult me on.

I don't excel at the art of the long term relationship (except for my husband, of course!). In fact, I have been referred to as a "fickle pickle" on more than one occasion. 2. I'm kinda picky, especially when it comes to any situation where someone may have to touch any body part of mine. 3. Especially in these times of managed care, you don't really get to know your doctor - and for me, bedside manner is just as important as the origin of the diploma hanging on the wall. Dr. Silver is exceptional - no ifs, ands or buts about it. If you need an appointment, his wonderful staff will find a way to get you in. If you call the Doctor, he'll call you back quickly, even if it means he has to stay late to do so. I've never felt like he was rushing me out during an appointment, and he is friendly, smart and has an awesome sense of humor (a good thing when you're not feeling so hot). My husband goes here and he was the first doctor to see my daughter after she was born. I trust him - and I don't throw that word around lightly. He's affiliated with Abington Hospital, which is the only hospital I would ever return to voluntarily (the food's not that bad there - honestly!) Dr. Silver is so great that it's almost a shame that I'm as healthy as I am, because I only see him a couple of times a year lately...wait...is that a sniffle coming on???

I went to Dr. Alexander because I read online she does medical pedicures. For $50 I have brand new…read moreprofessional grade SMOOTH feet. She used a special machine to take away all the dead skin on the bottom of my feet. She also trimmed my nails and filed them down. She also gave me a prescription to this medicated foot lotion that keeps my feet extra smooth! She was very informative and extremely kind. The office front desk lady was so sweet and knowledgeable. Recommended them to my friend last night. Will be coming back!
