Stethoscopes are decidedly old school as doctors stare into laptops occasionally coming up for air to discuss symptoms and diagnoses with the enthusiasm of a metronome. The docs could just as well be holographic or stuck in the metaverse (for that matter, so could you.) "At the tone, please download your balz into the 3-D printer." You never forget for a moment that you're "on the clock." The good news is that procedures and testing that were once outsourced are now conducted in-house with most results available next day. Maybe there's something to be said for efficiency after all. Medicine's brave new world is alive and well here. I just might get used to it. Four 3-D stars.

Dr. Shaikh reached out to me even though I moved to Hawaii and he explained to me that it was a student nurse that should not have said what she said to me. He told me that I am his patient no matter where I move and I can call on him anytime.

I have never felt more ignored or disregarded as a patient than I did here. During the roughly two…read moreyears I was a patient of theirs, I had three medical issues I tried to resolve, and on each one I did not get what I needed. For the first, I have a chronic condition and I knew which kinds of medications did not work but I was prescribed those anyway rather than something new which did work. For the second, I was given a treatment that was equivalent of a bandaid on a large wound, and it caused the problem to get worse because it was ignored even longer. For the third, I was simply dismissed without any examination and told I was too young to have the problem I explained. I went to Urgent Care several times while I was a patient of this practice because I knew it would be better than being ignored.
