I visited this store to purchase uniforms for a new job, which should have been a straightforward and even pleasant errand. Instead, the interaction was memorable for reasons I doubt the business would intend.
The employee assisting me, Sol, seemed distinctly inconvenienced by the basic act of helping a customer. She sighed when she had to put down her phone, setting the tone for an experience that felt less like customer service and more like an imposition.
I wasn't making an unusual request -- simply attempting to buy the products the store exists to sell. It's always a bit surprising to feel as though your presence is a disruption rather than the purpose of the establishment.
Thankfully, there are other uniform stores in town, and I look forward to completing future purchases in a more welcoming environment. read more
