One corner of the Mercado. 3 food stalls are pictured here, there are a total of 7.

Immerse yourself within aisles of colorful, brilliantly decorated vendor stalls. Lively music and joyful chatter welcomes you through your journey within the Mercado de Los Cielos. A hidden gem within the Desert Sky Mall, the Mercado offers a variety of consumer goods at a discounted price. Clothing, electronics, jewelry, and shoes are a few of the highlights from my Mercado visits. Each time I make my way through the Mercado, new advancements and installments help to pave the way for busy commerce. It is easy to strike up a pleasant conversation with the jovial workers. Vendors are always willing to bargain if the price is right. Without a doubt, my favorite aspect of the Mercado is the abundant and gracious food court. Over 7 different food stalls serve a plethora of tasty cuisines, catering to every appetite. Authentic Mexican cuisine can be fully explored.

Went there on Satruday to see if I could get my screen replaced on my new ipad mini 5th gen that I had dropped a month ago and cracked my screen. I Visited "CellMart & Repairs" (Space P-5 by foodcourt) to get a quote on the screen itself because everything else worked fine. The owner told me he could do it for 150$ but he only had the opposite color (white) and I agreed cause it wasnt much of a difference. Told me come back in an hour and itll be ready. Before I left he made me turn it on so I did and unlock it and I thought nothing of it. When I come back he is not there but walks up 5 minutes later with my ipad in hand as if still working on it. He tells me "my screens are not working I tried a couple and nothing" then shows me it wont turn on with the new screen on it. I wasnt sure what to respond and he suggested I go to another place and see. I said ok. He then removes the new screen and puts my old screen on, which is more damaged than I had dropped it off, within 5 minutes . I try to turn it on and it no longer turns on and he just says try somewhere else. I wasnt sure what to think getting my item back worse then i dropped it off with him and not being able to fix it at that moment. Mind you also left his blood on the back of it and I didnt notice until I went to the next spot in the same area. So I went to another spot (Q1) and told them my situation and he told me they would attempt to replace the screen and see if it works and if it doesnt then he wouldnt charge me 160$. I told them ok and returned in an hour. I got bad news and he said that my ipad wasnt fixable, "whoever worked on it last did not turn it off and fried the electrical components inside" I was in shocked and had him repeat himself and said I couldnt fix it from there. He gave me a card and said if I had other electronics he can help me with to reach out. I was beyond upset I went back to confront the owner Mamun at p-5 and also recorded and he had nothing to say other than he was sorry. He damaged my ipad to where I couldnt fix it anymore when all it needed was a new screen. I dont recommend ever!

this photo shows the police arriving to the scene.

The last time someone in my family went here they saw someone bleed out and die of a gunshot wound. 0/10 would not recommend. The food is ok tho.

OMG!!! I couldn't believe all the stuff they have at this place! The food, the candy, the booths with all kinds of stuff! It might not be a true Mexican Mercado but it comes very close to it. The only thing we have to complain about would be the bathrooms, but that's probably not the place's fault...some people still need lessons on basic hygiene and manners.

This was not what I was expecting to see. I was completely expecting to see a grocery store and BAM... to my surprise, it was like walking into an indoor, Mexican bazaar with individual vendors. They had quite a variety of vendors, from food to telephone service, portrait studios and clothing, and everything in between. It's not my cup of tea, but I figured I'd post this so that others do not get blindsided like me!

This is like an indoor swap meet. Lots of small vendor stalls selling the usual assortment of Chinese made goods. There are though decent leather works to be had if you have the money for them. There are some vendors with Mexican versions of american products that can be acquired for cheaper here. The best part of this place is browsing around with snacks as they have two mini food courts. It's right in/connected to the mall so it's really convenient.

I also sometimes meet up with friends or family or even head there on my own. There's something for everyone and plenty to see and do; however, some of my favorite stores and restaurants have closed and been replaced over the years. It also happens to be where my wife and I had our first date! The Biltmore Fashion Park is known for some great restaurants. While there are some upscale and casual restaurants there, my favorites include Seasons 52 or True Food for a good meal and Frost a Gelato Shoppe for dessert. I really enjoy having several Fox restaurants at the Biltmore. There are also many other restaurants in the area. Several of the restaurants have great happy hours, too. I miss the Crepe Club though several other restaurants have opened since then. There are also plenty of shops from upscale shops to more casual ones like Lululemon and Sakes 5th Avenue. There are fancy clothing stores that my wife may enjoy though I typically enjoy the nice courtyard or seating outside some of the stores while she shops. Then, we grab a bite somewhere together. I miss the Apple Store and Sharper Image but look forward to what is opened next. There are also experiences from the Sip & Stroll (where you can enjoy a beverage from one of six restaurants and then walk around), meet-up with the Phoenix Run Club, the Art Walk, the Swiftie Liftie Outdoor Workout Class, or one of a number of galas or special events. Find more details on what is coming up at the Biltmore Fashion Park at https://www.reddevelopment.com/biltmore-fashion-park/events. While stores and restaurant hours may vary, the hours are typically 10 AM to 8 PM daily except for Sundays from 12 Noon to 6 PM. There is plenty of free parking around the Biltmore Fashion Park along with valet options. Desert Ridge Marketplace in Phoenix, Arizona has such a bright and energetic atmosphere that I…read morereally enjoyed when I visited with someone. I noticed a lot of teenagers walking around, and the whole place feels lively in a way that teenagers would love. The outdoor areas, the open walkways, and the spots to sit or take pictures don't cost anything at all, which makes it easy to have fun there without needing a plan. I didn't realize how much there was to enjoy until I walked around and saw how welcoming and upbeat the whole marketplace feels. It surprised me how comfortable it was to just be there without feeling rushed or overwhelmed by the crowds. Even though it's a shopping and entertainment center, it gives teenagers a great place to hang out, take photos, listen to music, or just be creative while exploring the different areas. I only visited Desert Ridge Marketplace one time in my life before making this review, but it ended up being one of the most enjoyable and youthful places I've been to in a long time. I never doubted that the experience would turn out the way I hoped it would. I've lived for 24 years, but in the summer of 2024 I learned that I'm still physically and mentally 18 years old, and that my prefrontal cortex is more developed than the average 25‑year‑old's. Maybe that's why I connect so much with places that feel playful, social, and full of energy. I would highly recommend that teenagers go to this marketplace because it gives them a fun, open space to enjoy themselves, walk around, and feel creative. I loved the decision that was made with the variety of store they have there. I also loved the service there.

I occasionally go with my wife, a family member, or a friend (or some combination). I sometimes go on my own. Earlier this week, I met a friend for lunch at a restaurant in The District and then walked around and went into a few stores. There's something for everyone and plenty to see and do. The Desert Ridge Marketplace is known for some great restaurants. While they have less in terms of fine dining, there are many great casual or upscale casual restaurants, national chains, and local chains. There are also some good fast casual restaurants to go. Some of my favorites include Islands, Tikka Shack, The Keg, Cafe Zupas, Fly Bye, and Flower Child. You can then grab some treats to go at ITSUGAR or Cold Stone Creamery. There are also plenty of shops from casual ones to nicer casual. You'll need to head to nearby Scottsdale Quarter or Kierland for the upscale shops. My wife and I frequent Barnes & Nobles, Bath & Body Works, Five Below, Kohls, Target, and DSW the most. Find happy hours and other specials for restaurants and stores at https://shopdesertridge.com/directory/sales-promotions. Entertainment options at the Desert Ridge Marketplace include the AMC movie theatre, As You Wish pottery painting, games and music at the Backyard and Copper Blues, games at Dave & Buster's, and comedy at the Desert Ridge Improv. There are also a bunch of specialty and fitness stores. You can also find events at https://shopdesertridge.com/event including Trivia Tuesday and music at Backyard, Christmas Angel Tree, and 12 Days of Snowfall just to name a few. The Desert Ridge Marketplace has a children's play area, corn hole (two sets!), EV charging stations, a fireplace, LED screens, live music (often on Friday and Saturday nights), a splash pad, wifi, and sip & strolls. The area is also dog-friendly with plenty of places to walk your furry friends. The hours at stores and restaurants differ greatly, and there is no widely advertised set of hours for the area. There is plenty of free parking around Desert Ridge. You can read more about the Kierland Commons at https://shopdesertridge.com including a place you can sign up to be on their mailing list and get offers and opportunities to sign up for giveaways. There is also a mall map on there along with a listing of activities and experiences with events.
