Horrible!!! Don't waste your time and money. My first time here, upon arrival, the doors were locked. Finally, someone let me in and when she did, she was rude and unwelcoming. She told me to have a seat that Lydia will be with me after she was done with her client. The salon is small and Lydia walked around and not once did she acknowledge me being there, even though she saw that I was sitting there. I waited for 40 minutes. Then her assistant approached and said she would be shampooing my hair and blow drying it. I said oh you're going to shampoo and blow dry my hair before my haircut? She said yes. I should've known then to walk out of the salon. The reason I didn't was because for new clients Lydia makes you pay upfront in full. Red flag!!! The second red flag was because I've never been to a hair Salon, where shampooing and blow dry, was done prior to a haircut. After my hair was shampooed and blow dried. I sat in the chair for another 20 minutes while Lydia cut another customers hair. The way this places is ran is like a mill. Clients literally come and get their hair washed and blow dried by the assistant, and Lydia just goes around trimming their hair, not really cutting their hair. Finally, when Lydia came to me she didn't greet me and didn't welcome me to her hair Salon, even though it was my first time being there. She just asked. What did I want done? And I said, I have a picture of the haircut that I would like. I showed her a picture and she said ok. She proceeded to cut my hair and I kid you not. She spent about 10 minutes, triming my hair not cutting and she was done. I said you're done? She said yes. I said that was really fast. She said yeah. My clients say that I'm fast at cutting hair and laughed. Then she asked me. Do you brush style your hair or do you cruel your hair? I said I style it with a brush. She proceeded to curl my hair with a curling iron. I now know why she used a curling iron. It's because she wanted to hide the shitty job that she did on my trim/haircut. Literally, the worst haircut I've ever had in my entire life. Not to mention her prices are ridiculous. I will never go here again, and I would highly advise you not to go there as well. I don't know how she's still in business. My fiancé did check to see if she had a business license, and he said he didn't see anything on the better business bureau. So, just be aware. read more

Lydia & her team are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G :)) heart eyes for days & days :)) So I went from golden honey blonde (previous stylist I saw for years) to platinum in 2 years with Lydia. Ladies, if you are wanting to go blonde please understand it is nothing short of HIGH MAINTENANCE! Your hair will break, your hair will thin, you will sometimes have small chemical/bleach burns on your scalp. It is "normal" how can you expect to bleach your head over and over & have super healthy luxurious thick hair? Not realistic! That also doesn't mean your hair is going to feel like straw but that all depends on you and how you care for your hair at home. You will need to put the work in such as using the best products such as Oribe or Olaplex, do high quality hair masks at home, use high quality purple shampoo & take collagen/biotin to keep your hair as healthy as possible & to maintain that fresh blonde color. You will need to do more work at home maintaining your hair than what Lydia does during your appointment to keep your hair healthy & the color looking fresh. Do not expect to show up to Lydia salon and get platinum in 1, 2 or 3 sessions... it will take many sessions but you will definitely be blonder and blonder each time. Again - you also need to put the work in! Lydias prices are very competitive and fair, yes she has multiple assistants but they are under her guidance and only are instructed to do as she requests. All of her assistants are very sweet! The salon has an upscale modern feel to it, it's always super clean & has the best music playing :) Lydia is definitely the hair queen & she's stuck with me for life haha ;)) I'll never trust anyone else to touch my hair. Came in first time, I showed her a picture of how I wanted my hair and it didn't come out the way I wanted it, actually, it was the complete opposite but I ended up loving it. $325 I came back and realized a bunch of shit. My hair came out really bad. Most of my hair strands came out a different color, I just didn't like it at all. Lidia basically has her favorites (the ones that make her reputation look good) Most of the time other girls do your hair, she just does a small part of it. The girl she left me with towards the end was SUPER RUDE. When she started drying my hair she was sighing and tapping her foot and once she started curling my hair she said " wow you have a lot of hair " and continued to tap her foot. I got charged $460 for this Her prices never make any sense. I don't mind paying for something that's good but I literally was overcharged for a SHITTY RUDE job . I came in just for a haircut with Lydia. She barely greeted me, and even after I had already communicated what I wanted, she still asked again. While cutting my hair, she made numerous rude comments one after another. She asked if I had cut my own bangs, despite having let my hair fully grow out for a while. She also commented that my hair was dirty, even though I came in with wet hair and products already in it, and she sprayed more products while blow-drying. Of course, it would feel heavy with product buildup. I had told her I was giving my hair a break, yet she continued with negative remarks. Additionally, she washed my hair again after blow-drying and cutting it. Halfway through, she left and let someone else blow-dry my hair. It was evident that the person was still learning, as they repeatedly went over areas they had already worked on. I left with my hair smelling burnt and feeling stiff. While she was able to suggest a different way to style my hair, she couldn't even part it correctly down the middle. This was my first and last time visiting. Lydia needs to improve her customer service skills and suggest products more tactfully if she's going to make negative comments about someone's hair. read more

I hate to be someone who leaves a bad review but I hope this serves as constructive criticism for Lydia. Where do I start... First off her work and pricing is very inconsistent. I've asked for the same thing the past couple of times. The first time I was charged reasonably for the color around 220 and came out meh, just okay (not the work you expect for someone who specializes in blondes) but whatever. Also, asked for a bang trim. She cut about half of the front section of my head. Not just an inch or so of the front part but half of the front. So the half back part of my hair was long and about 4 to 5 inches from my forehead back to the middle of my head was short(bangs). What can you do but wait for it to regrow. So cutting is not her expertize also. She doesn't ask how you like it, just non-chalantly comes back to curl it at the end to have it blend in to disguise along with the meh color job she did. Then when your hair is straight you realize you have a mess of badly cut hair and an uneven blonde you don't expect after all the money you pay. Mind you my hair is blonde to begin with only asked to bring up the blonde closer to the roots. The second time, just went in to touch up the blonde again closer to the roots and was charged $400 even though I went in for the same thing. To bring the blonde up from regrowth. Except this time not only does she charge way more for the same thing but the blonde came out extremely yellow. The first time it was at least a half ass decent job so this time I was extremely upset as she charged me more and didn't take the time to properly color it. The work is rushed, never asks for your name just refers to each girl as "that girl" to her assistants. Who by the way are nice but only help by washing and blow drying the hair. Lydia only applies the blonde quickly and does not come back to check the progress. Almost as if she's winging it because she's booked and busy applying the bleach on to the next girl and the next after. This explains why all her photos on her instagram IF YOU LOOK CLOSELY(past the curls)have a bunch of random yellow spots on every girls hair. So what do you do. Well have to go and pay someone else more money to fix her work because it's embarrassing walking around like that and if you bring it up her and her staff get offended and get all serious with you. Almost as if you did something wrong. Lastly, she boasts about how great her salon manager is. Who apparently does her scheduling. However is horrible to work with to even book an appointment to begin with. Then every day there's all these "last minute openings" which doesn't make sense because it's every day so that's frustrating because you have to take time off from work to fit into her schedule then reschedules you because she is busy and then you see her post openings. Wow, the greatest. Nothing like going back and forth multiple times just to book a hair appointment. Also, the lighting is not the best in the black salon which explains why the cut and color is so uneven as well. She can't see what she's doing properly. With all the money that is being charged it should be invested in educating further to do better blonde and getting more bright lights for the salon. In the end, it's my fault for giving her the benefit of the doubt and going back to get overcharged for pretty bad work. The photos speak for themselves. read more

Like I said this review is long over due I got my hair done by Lydia back in 2018(been scared to post this.) Before going to Meraki I only let one person touch my hair but I felt like my lady just wasn't cutting it for me so I didn't research and found this place. Everyone I talked to that went there before said nothing but nice things so I trusted Lydia. My hair before was blonde highlights and I had asked to go brown completely. Leaving the salon I was so happy loving my hair thinking I found my new hair girl but NO. After about 2 washes my hair turned green! It's was a nightmare all my closest friends and family were telling me my brown was literally turning green. I had green patches EVERYWHERE I called out of work that day because I was so embarrassed of my hair. I texted her immediately and told her about what had happened with pictures and she told me to come in(free of charge) Go in for a second time she redid whatever she said did the first time and of course after 2 washes happened again, green patches EVERYWHERE. Did the same thing texted her with pictures and she told me to come in a 3rd time again(free of charge) SAME SHIT DIFFERENT DAY. I was so upset literally everyone that mattered to me would tell me my hair looked crazy to stop going to her she is only making it worse! But I did text her again with pictures and she told me to come in a froth time, same shit. Told her about it and she seemed to get annoyed with me (little did she know I was annoyed with her too) and told me she would have to charge me for the 4th time. Young minded me was ok with paying but when I would tell my friends and family about the whole thing they told me that isn't right you should not have to pay if she keeps making it worse. Ended up not going to my forth appointment and never going back since. So if you are considering going brown and you are blonde right now DO NOT GO HERE! This place is so over priced for the work that they do. I went in around October to get my hair done but Lydia suggested we shouldn't do it because my hair was so damaged. So I accepted doing a different approach then what I wanted. Lydia was nice but one of her workers was very stuck up. Anyways, the first month my hair okay good but then the color starting falling out and I ended up again with my orange/yellow. I paid $340 for a mini haircut and color and some treatment. I honestly thought her work was so good because of Instagram pictures. The front girl said she would text me treatments for my hair and things I could use to fix it, but never did. I feel that she has her favorites and only focuses on those clients. I've been going to Lydia faithfully for roughly 6 years now & i absolutely love her ! I came in to her for a correction , my hair looked horrible unfortunately. She gave me a balayage and when i got up from her chair that first time and looked at my hair i knew i had found my woman ! It looked so good and i was so happy i now didn't have to walk around with the horrible hair job another stylist had given me . All the colors blended in smoothly , the blonde and the brown in my hair were the perfect combination they complimented one another and just looked great . As time went by i started to ask her to keep making my hair lighter and lighter . Until i finally told her my goal was now to be platinum blonde . She explained it would take time but she would try to get me to my goal color and that i could also have breakage and damaging which i already know is a risk with bleaching hair in general. She did tell me to wash my hair less, do hair masks , take hair , skin and nail supplements to maintain healthy hair or as healthy as can be with all the processing I've elected to do on it .within a few sessions she got me to what i wanted.
