Booked an appointment with Deshey for my 4 year old daughter before our trip to Japan and Taiwan. Deshey did an amazing job with my daughter's braids, especially with it being the very first time my daughter is getting her hair done professionally. Deshey was very gentle, patient, and welcoming. The braids were very well done! It lasted throughout the entirety of our trip, even without my daughter wearing a bonnet to sleep (she doesn't like to wear one). Even held up well throughout our 11 hour flights. We will definitely come back to try other styles.
I had such a fantastic experience getting my hair braided here! From start to finish, the service was excellent. The stylist was skilled, attentive, and really listened to what I wanted. I absolutely love my braids - they look amazing and feel secure but not too tight. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for beautiful and professionally done braids! Nataly for braids and Mina for haircut!!
My dreads were AWFUL, I had asked for retwisting and assumed that's all I could do with the mats I had. Without a doubt, Natalie is my new hair dresser and I WILL be coming back. She gave me confidence, made my shit look so clean when I didn't know it could. Best vibes I've ever felt in salon and owned all herself! Can't tell me the difference is so much better :) I feel better!

I've come in for braids 3 times, they even did my braids for my wedding and it was beyond beautiful. I wore the braids throughout my honeymoon and they lasted so long through a few months. It's tough to get a stylist in San Jose and I'm glad that I have Operation Hair for all my braids needs and I'll keep coming here and telling everyone all about it! Great experience all across!

Can I just start by saying these ladies work so hard!!! Everybody at the salon is sweet, respectful, and unique. I set up my appointment with natalie and she was very quick at responding and very thorough. She recommended some beauty supply stores so I can get the correct amount of bundles. When I go to the salon, the music and vibes are always so welcoming and I feel like I finally have a trusted place to get my hair done and come out looking great!! I got a full head of faux locks as seen in the pictures. I expected about a 3-4 hour appointment to get this done. Imagine my shock when they finished in less than 2 hours. I highly recommend getting your hair done here as these lovely ladies work very hard to get you looking perfect!!
Natalie did a good job with my hair. I had requested for two dutch braids. I had to get my own hair from elsewhere. She charged $65 for the service which was a bit high but since it was a thanksgiving weekend I didn't mind paying the price. The pre-stretched hair was pretty cheap. I will come back to try something else.

Communication was quick and super easy. I left a voicemail and received a reply within 30 minutes. I booked an appointment for the same week. It went really well. I had single box braids done in 2.5 hours. The chairs are surprisingly comfortable. I will definitely be back. The price and quality are superb. Thank you, Natalie! read more

Had a family member refer and made appointment. I didn't get to speak to the braider before I arrived for appointment. When I arrived Olivia was very friendly. I had questions regarding the size because my hair is thin. She was very considerate, listened to my concerns, and came up with a few ideas. The shop was so welcoming. Every stylist that was there greeted you with a "hello". It was very comfortable and relaxing. I had been going to shops where people didn't speak, didn't care about concerns and braided so tight, I swear they braided my thoughts! My braids look amazing and absolutely no pain. I've always had people braid too tight. I couldn't even tell she had started! I will definitely be back! Definitely check her out...she has skills! read more

Once again... I am so pleased with Naty , the owner of Operation hair. The hair II ordered from Naty's vendor is excellent!! 32inch hair, even from top to bottom, buttery soft to the touch!!! I been going for at least 5 years. Her technique is with nano micro beads... she is always up to date with technique. She listens to what you want, and she delivers!!! read more

This was my second appointment @OperationHair @NattyKay Did two halo braids with hair added I'm extremely happy with this style and will definitely recommend it for anyone in the growing out stage. The staff was and always is the best, professional in every sense of the word and shows the level of care and passion they put in to the work they do, not to mention the personal feeling you get from all the hair professionals working here you feel a sense of welcoming and family feels Like your part of the Operation Hair Family. We used three pre-streched hair bundles added a peek a Boo of pink n purple, Natalie took her time to make sure that all baby hairs were where they needed to be and that the style and length worked for me and was in and out in less then an hour. SIS! Why you going anywhere else? Ok -I'm not going to lie, part of me wants to be greedy because a good braider is hard to find, but us gals gotta look out for each other. I recently had shoulder surgery and have had a hard time maintaining my long curls. A friend recommended that I look into braiding as a way to keep my hair maintained and looking good with relatively low maintenance I originally had my hair done at another location and had to take them out after 1.5 weeks because the braid unraveled and were very loose. I called Natty and let her know my sob story but she wasn't intimidated, in fact she told me "I got you hun" and got me in right away. She was sweet, professional, offered me breaks when my shoulder ached. I just can recommend her enough. Her and her assistant Stephy were bananas great. I cannot recommend her enough! Where do I even begin. I have been going to Natty and Stephanie for over a year now. I could never find a braider that didnt charge 100000 dollars and was professional untill I met natty and stephanie. I will not let ANYONE else braid my hair but them two. Everytime I go in I get exactly what I want and amazing quality work. They are such kind people and always have the best welcoming energy. She is affordable, so sweet, and they always do the best work. It is also SO easy to book with her. She is so dedicated to her job she will work HOURS on end 25/8 to make sure she gets her clients booked and she takes walk ins. I have never felt more confident and beautiful than when I walk out of this salon. I am so blessed to have found them. read more

Natty did her thang! I can't thank you enough for the transformation of my hair. I came in to fix someone else's job who put hair with glue on top of my head and Natty knew just what to do from the gecko. The best service and care in the Bay Area hands down. They're just the best!! Not only did my hair come out amazing, but the staff is so kind and welcoming. They really make sure you feel comfortable and have a great experience! I got small singles on super thick hair and it was only 5 hours, which included a food break (and chat break because the conversation is so good)!!! I'm heading to Mexico for my besties bachelorette and as a cancer survivor, I've been feeling a little insecure about this trip as I wait for my hair to grow back in (I only have about 3-4 inches of hair growth). I decided to get box braids for the first time and getting them done at Operation Hair was the best decision ever! Natalie and Stephanie really took care of me. They ensured I was comfortable all throughout my appointment and just being in their company was amazing! It didn't take too long and the braids look so good! I left feeling beautiful as ever. Natty is absolutely amazing ...I was searching for someone who could toss my hair back in 2 braids and give it length at the same time with an ombre twist ... and Natty did exactly that ... I found her on Instagram and saw all the beautiful work she meticulously created ... I was thoroughly satisfied ... not only did she create exactly what I wanted but she was super fast... I was in her chair snd out in about 20 25 minutes. You can definitely tell she enjoys her craft but also has a passion for people and making them look fabulous... the prices are spot on and the products she uses are high end ... This has been 2nd time getting my hair braided here. Abbe was very professional and an expert with braiding. She was flawless, very friendly, and thoughtful. She did not just whip through with my hair. She took her time and made sure that I was satisfied with her work, which was incredible! The salon is cozy and the staff made me feel very comfortable. I have been struggling with finding someone that could braid my hair since I swim daily and need braids every 7-10 days. Abbe was very passionate about her art of hair. These ladies are amazing. You could tell all the customers were happy with the services they were receiving. I can't speak highly enough of this salon. Operation Hair is the definition of perfection when it comes to braiding.
