He saved me when I was suffering from severe depression after being overly medicated and he quite literally gave me my life back. He treats a range of disorders from ADHD Disorder to Bipolar Disorder. He also treats Binge Eating Disorder as well. Dr. Bunt's Nurse Practitioners are some of the best in his field if you ask me (which I've seen doctors from Stanford Medicine and Harvard Medicine), Susan in particular is one of the most intelligent, caring, kind and inviting Nurse Practitioners that I have ever encountered. Another issue I've heard mentioned on Yelp (when it comes to medical staff) before is rude office staff. You will never encounter rude office staff when it comes to visiting with Dr. Bunt. The office staff are all very kind and considerate. They will bend over backwards to help their patients on any way that they can. Dr. Bunt (and his entire staff) were all there for me during the most difficult time in my life (my divorce from an abusive ex husband) this left me in a terrible situation financially and Dr. Bunt's staff really worked with me to help during this time so that I wouldn't miss appointments. Susan was an absolute angel during my divorce as well and she actually took the time to counsel me and help me even more than her busy schedule allowed and for this I will forever be grateful to her. Speaking of counseling. I also see Dr. Shuy as my Psychologist and he's highly recommended as well. It's recommended that when seeing a Psychiatrist you also see a Psychologist to assist with your mental health needs and Dr. Shuy is one of the most gifted and caring Psychologists in the Space Coast. You can find Dr. Shuy at Atlantic Psychiatric Centers and he works at both the Cocoa Florida and Palm Bay Florida locations. He also volunteers at the Hospital in Rockledge Florida (formerly Wuestoff Hospital) Dr. Bunt has a full schedule (he quite literally has more patients than he time to see them all) due to the Covid 19 Pandemic (everyone is suffering during this time) so if he accepts you as a new patient be grateful and expect longer than average wait times for your appointments. Don't miss appointments as Dr. Bunt's time is very limited and if you do need to cancel an appointment don't expect to be rescheduled right away. Be be sure to cancel appointments well in advance (though their cancellation fee is more than reasonable, it's just courteous to the office staff and to the other patients who need an appointments to cancel well in advance. Dr. Bunt does not accept Medicare or Medicaid but he does accept United Healthcare and Cigna. Office visits for cash paying customers are $160 a visit. I have a feeling that the first visit will run about $300 (it's been many years (7) since my initial appointment). Initially Dr. Bunt will see you and then he relies of his Nurse Practitioners to maintain your care until your next visit with him. Don't worry, Dr. Bunt's Nurse Practitioners are highly skilled and so much so that they could easily be Psychiatrists themselves. He must go through painstaking process of finding them because everyone at his office is just the best I've ever come across so please don't worry that you won't always see Dr. Bunt, he's there for you for an appointment whenever you request one with him directly, just ask. Please keep in mind what I've said about Dr. Bunt's busy schedule though, Dr. Bunt's time is very limited so be sure to keep your appointments with him once scheduled. When it comes to your mental health you want the best help that you can find and Dr. Bunt is the best. He's also one of the only Psychiatrist in the Space Coast area but if you are searching for a great Psychiatrist on the Space Coast then you are in luck as you will be in good hands with Dr. Bunt.

I came to this center during one of the hardest and most frightening times of my life, reaching out…read morefor support at a moment when I genuinely needed it. What I received instead was inaction, condescension, and a kind of hostility that was all the more disorienting for being wrapped in a polite tone. I made contact through ordinary, appropriate channels. Rather than being met with care, I was treated as though reaching out was itself a problem, as though someone in crisis asking for support was an inconvenience or a concern to be managed rather than a person to be helped. Underneath the performed warmth, was nice nasty condescension and a clear message that my needs were too much. That message was delivered in a way designed to appear reasonable while it was delivered with contempt. I also want to name something about how this center staffs its support. Partnering women in acute crisis with graduate trainees is not appropriate. People reaching out at the worst moments of their lives are not practice cases for the next generation of mental health professionals, but that is exactly what it was. As a client, I was treated like material for someone's training rather than a person receiving care. When the support you reach for is structured around the learning needs of a student rather than the immediate needs of the person in crisis, the person in crisis is the one who pays. And I paid for it. When Heather, a supervisor became involved, the experience got worse. Her tone had a thin veneer of pleasantry that masked dismissiveness. I was talked down to, treated as though I didn't understand my own situation, and steered through a process that centered the center's procedures rather than anything resembling actual attention to the person in front of them. I was never asked what I wanted or needed. It was framed as help. But it was not help. I was managed out the door while being told it was for my benefit. There is a particular harm in being failed by the very people whose stated purpose is to support you, and in being made to feel that your reasonable need for care is a red flag. At a moment when I was already carrying more than I could hold, this added a fresh injury on top of it. I left more hurt than when I arrived. Care is not condescension delivered with sarcasm. Care is not deciding someone's course of action and calling it a referral. Care is not treating a person in crisis as a liability to be handled. Care is not handing a person at their most vulnerable to someone still learning the job. Whatever this was, it was not care, and I would caution anyone reaching out at a vulnerable moment to know that what you find here may not be the support you are hoping for. It's another dead end with grant funding. Very disappointing. The women of Brevard county deserve better.

The group members, leader and curriculum helped me understand so much about my family dynamics and how the abuse was allowed to continue for a decade. I have fewer nightmares. I have developed the courage to distance myself from certain family members, to set boundaries and enforce them, to release feelings of shame and guilt I'd been carrying (unknowingly) since age 4 or so. The process took a lot of work, time and heartache, but I am much happier now than I've ever been. I have an indescribable sense of freedom now that I've released the feeling of 'owing' people for allowing me to live. During the time I was attending classes here, I was also heavily involved with Codependents Anonymous. I highly recommend that group in tandem.
