Every time we visited, we were told that our vehicles needed work. While I initially accepted it, I always felt it was unnecessary until this past weekend when something really felt off. On Saturday, my daughter bought a brand-new vehicle with just 94 miles on it. While driving on I-76, she got a flat tire. We took the vehicle to Firestone and asked them to inspect the tire and give us a quote for replacing it. We left the vehicle and a few hours later, they called us back. They informed us that since it was an AWD and the tread was a 7, we needed to buy four new tires because the hole could not be patched. My husband pointed out that it was a new vehicle with new tires, but they insisted that it meant we still needed new tires. When we arrived to pick up the vehicle, I was not happy to see it in the bay with the hood up. I asked why it was like that, and they told me it was just a courtesy look. I asked for the information about the tires in writing so I could take it to the dealership to address the issue. While loading the tire into my vehicle, a second person helped us out. He seemed more knowledgeable and was polite. He explained the issue and confirmed that the tire needed to be replaced. I told him I didn't have a problem with replacing the tire, but I was upset about being told to replace all four tires on a brand-new vehicle. This second gentleman checked the tire tread again and found that it was indeed where a brand-new tire should be, not a 7. I can give this second gentleman 4 stars for his assistance, but I cannot let the rest of the experience slide. We took the tire somewhere else, and they confirmed that not only did we not need to buy four new tires, but the tire was also repairable. They put it in writing that the tire was safe.

She didn't realize the Stanley Hotel was here in Colorado so I took her and her old man up to see it. After that we went through Rocky Mountain National Park before heading back down to Southern Colorado. We stopped for food in Granby and caught a flat. Thought I had a spare bit the car had a donut. Crap. Well, it wasn't ideal but we were mobile again at least, if still 4-5 hours from home. Not half an hour later just past Tabernash, we hit a pothole that BENT THE RIM OF THE DONUT! Called for a tow and was going to Idaho springs to spend the night while he had someone coming to get them to take them back home. I started looking for tire places in Idaho Springs for tomorrow (it was Sunday and sun was going down so NO WAY would anything be open). Imagine my surprise when Pure Mobile Tire showed up as OPEN!!! I thought for sure it had to be wrong but took a chance and called anyway. Sure enough he was open. He asked what kind of tire I needed and I told him. He said he would check to see if he had one and call me back. He called me back a couple of minutes later and said he did! Wish I had called him instead of my insurance roadside assistance! The tow dropped is off in Idaho Springs and I called him again. He showed up 15 minutes later and got us back on the road not long after. $40 for the tire, and $100 for the service call... At almost 11 at night ON A SUNDAY!!! 3AM and we're back home safe after a very eventful day. If not for Pure Mobile Tire I would have been stuck in a hotel tonight while a friend drove for 10+ hours total round trip to pick up my folks and take them back home and get back home himself. Extremely reasonable, knew what he was doing, and quick! He took the tire (the original flat) off the wheel, mounted the replacement, took off the donut and put the real tire back on the car. 10/5 stars!
