I love froyo but this place has been going downhill. The staff there are unfriendly and unhelpful. Most don't even say anything except your total at the end and then the screen asks for a tip?! Like what did you do to deserve a tip.. so we asked for sample cups to sample the yogurt they did have. The worker said "no but here's a spoon". Felt like serious health code violation. You're giving something that someone is going to put their tongue all over and then put that all over probably EACH machine flavor. One employee working only on a Saturday spring day is dumb. Poor girl. Whoever manages or owns this store is a very bad owner. First time going to this location and have always loved the flavors but while I was eating my ice cream I bit down on something very hard and at first I thought it was a fingernail because of the shape but finally realized it was a piece of plastic (better than I fingernail I guess?). I ignored it, took it out, and continued eating but AGAIN I bit down on another big piece of plastic. I didn't want to throw it away since I paid for it and there was a lot left, and I didn't want to drive all the way back, so I tried to take a few more bites and to no surprise there was ANOTHER piece of plastic... Literally was here about an hour ago for National Frozen Yogurt Day (NFYD), which meant BOGO at Menchies. The staff was very kind and very on top of everything. I saw them continuously clean the toppings and seating areas with a smile on their faces, which I find rare especially when it was semi-busy for the occasion. Somehow my kids gobbled up their froyo in a matter of less than five minutes. It usually takes them at least 10 minutes at different froyo franchises / locations. They were happy so I was happy. The con I can think of is the pace the froyo came out of the machines.. so slow. Maybe the speed was based on the amount of yogurt? It was packed when I walked in with a handful of people sampling all the flavors, repeatedly.. I also would like if they had a variety of cup/bowl sizes. There was only one size, which felt a bit limiting but still filling enough for a single person (if they ate beforehand). They did have unique flavors such as watermelon and Hershey's chocolate. Plenty of toppings, that are neatly labeled too! It was a happy visit, we would definitely come again but not anytime soon since it's a bit of a drive. Maybe the next NFYD. read more

I think it's been barely 2 months since this location opened. I would expect great things to come. 7/8 flavors I try here are absolutely amazing (and its all a matter of personal preference!). The flavors change often: each lasts like 1~2 weeks. Dry toppings, fresh toppings, waffle bowls, and hot fudge/other sauces. Totally a self-serve dream. & this store itself is really large with lots of seating. There is also a kid's table and board games to keep you occupied. The other time I noticed a fireplace. I was not aware they had teeny, tiny plastic cups to try samples! I ended up falling in love with the Birthday Cake, German Cake Chocolate, Coconut, Strawberry, Peanut Butter, wow I got a lot of flavors! The toppings are my favorite part: Chocolate, cookie and Oreo chunks are heaven, along with little Mango fruit shaped like little orange balls the size of your pinkie, and lots of Hershey chocolate. Love this place! I have been here several times and even when they are busy the line moves quickly. Also there is plenty of seating. I like that the sample cups are laid out for you to grab so you don't have to ask for them! Their flavors are diverse...everything from peanut butter cup to key lime pie. They also always have the classics. It's nice that every flavor also displays nutrition facts such as calories, gluten free, kosher, etc. Toppings...lots and lots of toppings!! They have dry toppings such as candy, cereal, marshmallows, etc and cold toppings such as fresh fruit, bobba, cookie dough, etc. Additionally they have sauces such as fudge, caramel, and more. I really like this place for many reasons. I love froyo with choose-your-own toppings, and this is the best place to get that in all of Denver. Street parking can suck but there are parking lots around the back. Whenever I go, there's never a line and the workers seem nice. Great place for frozen yogurt, sorbet + gelato! They have a large selection of different flavors. They put out little sample cups so you're able to try any flavor before committing. The topping bar was well stocked and kept clean. Nice large space with ample seating, including places outside. Prices are good + the staff was polite. Yogurt shops like Menchies are sprouting up everywhere. We went on opening weekend which was a while ago, and somehow we missed all the game and prizes, which is always my luck. I do admit I went a little sample crazy and tried all their flavors like 2-3 times before stopping on one. They did have some great flavors and some great flavors that you could swirl together. If I remember correctly since its been so long, you could swirl lemon with strawberry or with raspberry. All I know it was crisp clean refreshing like a summer day. I got their flavor of the month or fan flavor which was Thin Mint Cookie. So this fatty got a cup, coated the bottom in hot fudge, sprinkled on some thin mint cookie pieces, and then topped it off with the Thin Mint Yogurt. I went to Menchies last Friday evening and truly enjoyed it. The store was clean and neat, and had lots of great flavors. Popping boba was a topping they offered, which I happen to love, as well as fruit, cereal, sprinkles, etc. There were also caramel and hot fudge toppings. As I grew up going to TCBY, I was happy to find they sell waffle cones on the side for $1. Nutritional info was available by scanning QR code, which are placed above each yogurt flavor station. This is a DIY-froyo place and you pay by the pound. I was able to purchase yogurt for me and the bf and didn't feel that I paid an exorbitant amount. There are is plentiful seating if you want to sit and relax or to-go container lids and trays if you're in and out. The cashier was very friendly and helpful while ringing up my order. There's also a reward card that you can start. You get a "smile" for each dollar you spend. Once you get 50 "smiles", you get a $5 credit on your account. If you sign up for the rewards club online, you get 25 "smiles" credited to your account. I'm a fan and will definitely return. read more

I've tried a lot of frozen yogurt places, and Menchies is the best of the bunch. Here's why: great selection of flavors- most of which were really tasty. A lot of places (like Red Mango) have only one or two flavors that are actually tasty. I had a difficult time picking one here! They also have your basic tart yogurt (which I love). The toppings selection was HUGE. Mostly unhealthy, but plenty of healthy stuff as well. There's fruit, cereals, boba, mochi, and a bar full of sauces- marshmallow sauce, anyone?! My almost three-year-old was in heaven, and for $1.50 had more than her fill of yogurt. I think this will definitely be a regular spot for us. Additionally, the girl working the counter (this evening) was extremely pleasant and outgoing and seemed like she liked her job- which made the experience even more awesome. I liked the name of the place, mostly because I think it sounds like a Jewish deli. From what I could tell, all the yogurts are kosher/hechshered, which is great (though I think I may be one of the five Jewish people who live around here. Ha!) Lisa H and I were uber excited to see a froyo joint open up in the Gardens on Havana/Mississippi. It may have taken us a few, but we finally made it over to Menchie's to sample the delightful offerings. Woah, this place feels a little like Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory. Bright colors, silly characters, and so many delicious flavors. Now only if they had schnozberry... Before picking a flavor, we had to sample a few, of course. I tried the standard tart, chocolate covered banana, and the seasonal pumpkin. Normally I'd opt for the seasonal flavor, but I've had an overload of seasonal pumpkin *everything* lately, so I chose the two former flavors. And to top it off, I made my way to the glorious toppings bar, where you can get *anything* you want to make your choice even more sinful, and added strawberries, bananas, mochi, and cheesecake. Definitely some good froyo here! Nom nom nom! For 44 cents an ounce, I can't complain that Menchie's is located so close to home. I was disappointed in the quality of the froyo here. There wasn't much variety in flavors and none of them wowed. The original froyo was too tart. The toppings left much to be desired. Their fruit flavors taste really artificially flavored like candy. Though I love candy, I do not like for things that are not candy to taste like candy. The cherry lime, pineapple & watermelon were all candy tasting which might seem great for kids but less so for me. I stuck with the original tart & also tried the vanilla with chocolate swirl. The consistency of the vanilla & chocolate were kind of watery (not as creamy as other froyo spots I've tried). Topping choices are great though & include things like mochi, marshmallow, cool whip (that's a new 1 for me), strawberries, nuts, Reese's pieces, and chocolate chips. I liked that they offered a wide variety of flavors but assumed all the fruit ones weren't going to taste like real fruit (after trying 3 of them). I do like that they have indoor & outdoor seating & their spoons are uber cute. They also have a reward program where you can rack up "smiles" & get discounts. As someone new to the Menchie's name, I have to say I don't like the name. At all. But, I do like the decor and the yogurt, which really is why I went there. The yogurt flavors are good, the toppings are varied and a-plenty. Just watch out for the fruit + everything else that's all over the floor because parents let their children do their own toppings (and adults are also kind of messy). They sweep every now and then, and it's hard to keep up with this without being constantly underfoot, so its just a comment. Not a star removal. Stopped by here for a quick gurt while getting paid to fix a couple internet routers. One of the better Menchie's I've been to and what really sets it apart was how nice the workers here were. I asked for a ton of samples and they had no problem waiting for me and letting me get almost an entire large serving in samples alone. These guys were true professionals. Try the German Chocolate Cake flavor and understand why this place gets a 2. I arrived with a group of friends 40 min before closing. The attendant more than once angrily muttered about having to close the store and was more than once a little rude. To help speed things up, anytime I make a purchase I ask someone who works in the store what they recommend. The response she gave me was to point at where the sample cups were located. The server there either hated her job or was still upset over her gum chewing accident at Willy Wonka's factory. Most of the flavors there tasted terrible and have a bad after taste that you cannot wash out of your mouth. The coffee flavor and some of the fruit flavors were good but that's it. Hopefully, they will get some better flavors and the attendant there will learn project positivity a little better. I want to point out that I and a friend did purchase 2 large bowls of froyo and this purchase could have been expedited with the assistance of the attendant. read more

Honestly my review is out of concern for the safety of the establishment. We stopped in Halloween night and stood there for 5 min before someone come out of the office. We asked if they were open. We got our yogurt and sat down. Both girls again left to the office and we sat alone until we left. I dont know if there is a video to watch the front.
