I brought my kiddos to Menchie's for a treat after school. The location was empty besides another parent there with her children. I did not see any employees until I was ready to weigh and pay for my cups. They offered a nice variety of frozen yogurt flavors and toppings. The toppings bar seemed pretty clean and stocked. Unfortunately the location itself did not seem very clean. Floors needed to be cleaned/swept, doormats were dirty, and there were toppings on the floor. They have a party room available to rent which is pretty fun! They also have an outside space but I noticed all of the outdoor chairs and umbrellas were folded up and kept inside. It's wonderful weather right now so I'm surprised they did not have the seating and umbrellas available for guests. Restrooms needed to be tidied up and the women's restroom toilet paper roll was stuffed so tight that it was difficult to use. They did offer a changing table in the women's restroom which I appreciated. Pricing wasn't bad, I believe it was .62 cents an ounce. The one employee that assisted me at check out was nice but nothing outstanding to report.

Cute little place. Umm the yogurt I wanted were not done. I love that I was able to sample a new flavor before I made my final decision. The staff was really nice however he has a strong odor. This is something I dod not expect to smell hopefully management addressed personal hygiene.

Although it's not cheap, it's good. Good selection of fro-yo, sorbets and toppings. Staff is always friendly and the place it pretty clean.

This off the charts bakery offers THE BEST flaky pastry you will find in America. Everything was fantastic, but the true stand out items are anything made with the flaky pastry, including the pain chocolate, apple turnover, chicken pot pie, Boston cream donut, croissant, and cinnamon roll. Those are my favorites. The quiche and chicken empanada are fantastic too. I also tried the spinach turnover, beef empanada, ham and cheese empanada, pistachio queen cookie, the Nutella trifle, the cheese bread, and the sliced brioche. All of those were wonderful too. The only thing I've had that I wasn't into was the cupcake. I drive 45 minutes each way to go here, and it's worth it. Once word gets out about this pastry crust, this place is going to have to expand to handle all the business. I'm so excited they are serving our GF community.

However, I got the cutest little strawberry frosted vanilla cupcake for my birthday as a surprise from my husband (he knew how badly I wanted to try this place), and it wasn't what I expected. The frosting had the most amazing strawberry flavor to it (like real strawberries instead of artificial), but the texture was plasticky and really weird (have you had those soft serves with that texture? Like where it didn't want to melt...almost like too much gum was added?). I went to wipe off the frosting and half the cupcake broke off with it--no problem, I guess...but when I unwrapped the cake from the paper it started crumbling. I tried to stuff it into my mouth (mind you I'm trying to eat this in my car after work) and it was like eating a giant spoonful of cake crumbs....my mouth dried up and I literally spewed it back onto the box like a sprinkler tossing out a mist of crumbs. Not attractive, I know. Needless to say, I didn't have any cake on my birthday lol. It all crumbled apart except for the glue frosting. If I get over this, maybe I'll get the courage to go to the store on my own and grab a croissant or donut...but cupcake? Never again.

The dining area looked clean and well-kept, and the hostess/cashier was genuinely friendly--she took the time to walk us through the menu, drinks, sauces, and even the different pickles, which I appreciated. We ordered the brisket, ribs, mac & cheese, green beans, two sauces (both free), house and spicy pickles (also free), and a Banana Cream Soda. 2 Slices of Brisket - $9 (3.5/5): The brisket was solid overall--tender with a nice, juicy interior and a lightly smoky aroma that came through in each bite. It wasn't dry at all, which is always a win, though it could've had a bit more depth in flavor on its own. That said, it really came alive when paired with the spicy sauce, which added a bold, tangy kick that elevated the meat nicely. 2 Pork Spare Ribs - $7 (4/5): These were definitely a highlight. The ribs were beautifully seasoned with a savory, slightly sweet rub that formed a flavorful crust on the outside. The meat was incredibly tender--so much so that it fell clean off the bone with just a fork, no effort needed. Juicy, rich, and super satisfying, especially with the spicy sauce adding an extra layer of heat and tang. Mac & Cheese - $4.50 (4/5): Very impressive side. The spiral noodles were cooked perfectly--tender but still holding their shape, not mushy at all. What stood out most was the texture: there was a subtle crunch on top, possibly from a light breadcrumb or rice-based topping, which added a nice contrast. The cheese sauce was creamy, rich, and coated every curve of the spirals, so each bite had these little pockets of cheesy goodness that almost "popped" with flavor. The sprinkle of green onions on top added a fresh, slightly sharp brightness that cut through the richness and made the dish feel surprisingly refreshing. Green Beans - $4.50 (3.5/5): These had a great bite to them--crisp-tender with a fresh, vibrant texture. The seasoning was flavorful with a savory base, but what surprised me most was the subtle heat that built up as you ate more. It wasn't overpowering, just a nice, unexpected kick that made them more interesting than your typical side. House Pickles (free) - 2/5: These were very crunchy and had a sharp, vinegary tang that leaned heavily on the sour side. While they were fresh and crisp, the flavor felt a bit one-dimensional and overly acidic for my taste. Spicy Pickles (free) - 4/5: Much better balance here. Still nice and crunchy with that same sour backbone, but the added heat gave them a bold, zesty edge that made them way more enjoyable. The spice lingered just enough to keep you reaching for another. Banana Cream Soda - $2 (2.5/5): This was light, fizzy, and refreshing with a smooth, slightly creamy mouthfeel. The banana flavor was present but very subtle--more of a faint, artificial sweetness than a rich, ripe banana taste. It leaned more toward a mellow vanilla-cream soda vibe with just a hint of banana in the background. Not bad, just a bit underwhelming if you're expecting a bold, dessert-like banana flavor. Overall, a solid BBQ spot with friendly service and some standout items--especially the ribs and mac & cheese. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the mood for a laid-back, no-frills lunch.

I was quoted about 30 minutes to be seated and was probably a little over that, thankfully with other parties leaving to get progressed through the list faster. Once we were seated though, the first thing our waitress said is that it was going to be another hour before the kitchen would have our food out. In reality, time from seating to getting our food was probably was closer to an hour and a half. I ordered the wiener schnitzel with potato salad and spätzle. Everything tasted very good. I enjoyed my schnitzel. I liked the flavor of their potato salad a lot but didn't care for peas being in it. That was a first for me. The spätzle was good. I did order it with some additional toppings which were missing when it came out. No way I was sending it back. The plain original one was fine and they fixed the check no problem before cashing out. All in all, I would recommend this place on the food if their was not a wait. I would be hesitant to recommend it if you get waitlisted outside because of how long it took the kitchen. I hope they get that figured out. On food alone I wpuld of gave them 4 stars. For me tonight and the overall experience, I have to drop it to 3.

Scoops is a local ice cream/candy shop that sits directly on the square, next to Henry's in downtown Acworth. After taking it back to my childhood and ogling all the candy, I made my way up to the ice cream counter. I had a few samples, but ended up settling on the Oreo ice cream. Simple and delicious! One scoop in a cup ran me about $7, but it was a heck of a scoop! If a cup isn't your thing, they have a variety of cones and even milkshakes. Additionally, you can also add a variety of toppings to your already decadent scoops. Service was friendly from entry to exit!
