We decided to reward ourselves for getting our first COVID vaccine shot with ice cream. (Really any excuse is good for ice cream!). We hadn't been to Brusters in a long time (pandemic), but decided to give it a try. Here's my mixed review. The good - the ice cream. Lots of flavor choices and each are creamy and delicious. The serving size is large and worth the price. They also gave us a free dog sundae for our puppy (who LOVED it). Ordering is outside. The staff was wearing gloves and masks. The not so good - COVID guidelines enforcement. There were a lot of customers and my husband and I were the only customers wearing a mask. There were signs stating that eating could not be done on the premises - there were lots of people hanging around eating and talking the whole time we were there. (We ate in our car.) I would have given a higher rating but right now if you are trying to help things get back to normal then plan to enforce the rules your restaurant has in place.

    Strawberry short cake

Look I know it's just ice cream...but this was the best visual! She did such a great job making my son brownie sundae and my strawberry short cake. It was just well made with the right balance of each ingredient. I almost didn't want to eat it. The thing is sometimes they add to much strawberry and sauce making the pound cake get soggy quick. I know the ice cream will eventually do that. I dont like soggy strawberry flavored pound cake. She did a great job. I ate the entire thing. It was just the right amount as far as portion size. My son enjoyed his brownie sundae. He had the right amount of ice cream and fudge drizzled on top. He said she went crazy with the whip cream. I disagree. Lol! Anyway, the staff was super friendly. They did a great job taking and making the orders. Definitely come back to this location.

Waffle bowl with brownie ice cream

Ice cream is very good! I love all the options they have. I got the waffle bowl with two scoops of the brownie ice cream. They make their waffle cones and bowls fresh so you smell the deliciousness of the cones! If you want to sit there and eat they have limited seating so you may have to wait around if it's a busy day or hour.

Always my favorite neighborhood ice cream shop. It's made fresh in house & the peanut butter buckeyes is my go to. It's straight up . I also enjoy the fresh chunks of cherries in the cherry vanilla ice cream . The flavors are constantly updating with the current season which is a big plus. You can't go wrong with an evening spent here enjoying delicious ice cream.

Visiting from California and I'm also on a mission to find the best ice cream place in town and this place met my standards. With it being fall, of course I had to try the Pumpkin Pie Ripple but was a little bummed when the girl told me they didn't have that flavor. She kindly suggested another one and for the life of me I can't remember the name. It was pumpkin ice cream with vanilla wafers and possibly graham crackers. Seriously the best pumpkin ice cream I have ever have! The service was also great! I will definitely one back when I return!

But my friends got mint and dulce de leche and neither thought there was enough flavor. We were also not huge fans of the texture. The line was really long and slow. Once we got to the front we understood why it was taking so long. I don't think we're going back, but it was interesting to try!

You can find Frozen Cow Creamery at 2870 Cherokee St NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. This is a somewhat…read moreawkward intersection where a few streets converge to cross the railroad tracks (unfortunate as when trains run you can't make some turns and the whole thing is a mess of backed up streets, especially during rush hour). For parking, there's a small lot to one side of the stand-alone building on the other side of a small garage that's used for storage. There's also spaces available across the street (several antique store type retail nearby). Frozen Cow can be found in what appears to be a historic home - you enter via the front entry with tables to the right and the counter in a room to the left. There are menus in holders but you have to look for them - you'll want to review the process while your inline. As with other nitrogen-style dessert places, here they bring down the temperature of sweet cream using liquid nitrogen (which comes out as a cloudy gas that billows out of the bowl) while adding ingredients like fruit and/or chocolate, nuts, etc. to build out your portion. You can then top it with various items and whip creams for a delicious treat. The staff here are all fairly young and probably still in high school - super friendly and surprisingly efficient at taking and making your order. Overall a great experience and a fantastic dessert.
