The fact is they NEVER should have been towed in the first place. He literally STOLE the cars. And then threatened VIOLENCE when we went to retrieve them. It was very early and I had a business appointment coming up, so my choices were limited. I spoke to an unfriendly dispatcher or receptionist and was quoted 1 hour and $140. I felt $140 was a bit steep but I haven't needed a tow in a while and didn't have time to shop around. After an hour and 10 minutes I called back to see where the truck was. I was told it should be about 20 minutes more. When they finally got my car to the shop, they tried to upcharge me $10 for using a debit card. The same card they asked for over the phone when they gave me the quote. When I objected, the driver said they always charge $10 extra for cards. I pointed out this charge was never disclosed and it's illegal to charge someone a fee after the fact if it wasn't disclosed. The driver said it wasn't his problem so I called the company back and the guy that answered also insisted they were going to charge me the $10. He was rude and tried to talk over me. I told them that if the charge on my card is over $140, I will dispute it through my card company, and file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I just looked at my account, and sure enough, they overcharged me.

I told him right away that my car had a flat tire which is why it was being towed and it's super low to the ground. He said My car is not low and he tows low cars all the time way lower than mine. He proceeded to scrape the entire rear of my car, exhaust tips and rear bumper cover When I pointed it out to him, he got defensive and angry, and very aggressive towards me and tried to fight me. It was a very hot day, my friend and I were stressed (150 miles from home), and his immediate offer of cold water nearly brought us tears of relief. He expertly maneuvered his tow truck into a tough spot to get the car. I had called a nearby mechanic to receive the tow, but minutes before our arrival at the auto shop Fazl mentioned that my insurance would cover a tow all the way home to SF. He pulled over while I decided what to do, and when I told him that I would indeed like a tow to SF he offered to give me and my friend time for a meal in town before leaving (we hadn't eaten all day). He then picked us up and got us safely home. Cannot recommend highly enough.
