He is proactive and responsive managing everything from the sale to delivery and helping with rebates. I ended up with everything on my list and I didn't have to drive all over to the big box stores or spend a ton of time online. Very pleased with my experience with Volkmann and with Cody.

I walked in to MIdwest and was greeted by a very nice young lady at the front desk, who sent a…read moresales person over to assist me. Maybe her demeanor on that day was an anomaly, but she didn't act like she was trying to sell anything to me. She invited me back to her desk and brought up 2 dryers that they had in stock. A Speed Queen that I was interested in ( $1385 ) and a Hot Point ($850) and wrote them down on her card for me. I emailed her from home later and asked if I could pay $900 up front for the Speed Queen and pay remaining $500 off at 100/Month (maybe a naive question). In her condescending response, she said I could do that but I wouldn't be able to get the dryer until I paid it off. I sent another email and asked if she could send a list of dryers they had in the 800 to $900 range. She never got back to me. I also looked up the Hot Point dryer she wanted to sell to me and it's among the lowest rated you can find. I've had people working at Walmart stocking shelves, that acted like they were more interested in helping me than she was.

He can tell you what it will cost to fix something and give you an honest opinion whether or not it makes sense to fix it versus buying brand new. He is super dependable and worth every dollar. He calls back super quick and goes the extra mile to get things back up and running as fast as possible. Our rental properties(we house about 150 tenants total in many locations) would not have such a great reputation if we didn't have such a great serviceman to call.

When we asked for our money back, they did not return calls, or messages until we used a phone they did not recognize. They said several times they sent the money but they never did. They need to be put out of business, they are cheating customers. Read reviews posted elsewhere. Similar stories. Taking them to small claims court and reporting them to Better Business Bureau. STAY CLEAR, there are legitimate and good appliance repair companies out there. This is not one of them.

He does eventually show up, works on the washer for an hour & then says he accidently broke something & that he has to get another part. Several days pass with no follow up from him, no response to several texts & phone messages (see a pattern here?). Feb. 6 he shows up to our house, leaves without fixing it, texts me that he will "keep me informed in the next hour." 5 days pass with no word from him, no responses. Finally hear from him that he will stop in on Feb. 11. He never shows up. He has ghosted us since & won't refund our $350. Sound ethical?
