Here is my main reason I am writing this review. MISSING rebates! Is anyone else having this problem? When I send 5 rebates in 1 envelope and get my Rebate back in the mail and only 2 out of the 5 receipts show up, I would say there is a big problem with the way Menards is processing these Rebates. Here is another example, Today i literally received my rebate card for $1.71, problem is, I sent 3 other rebate receipts along with this one of quite a bit higher value and they did not show up. These were all sent in ONE ENVELOPE. Sure they have pretty good prices but you also draw us in with that 11% offer and I am beginning to wonder what exactly is really going on here. This is a great way to lose our business Menards but then again do you really care. read more

Just purchased a brand new Maytag washing machine (4/2023). It stopped working in the middle of my first load. I paid $160.00 to have it delivered. The repair man can't come out for three weeks. Menards refused to replace it unless if I personally hired someone to bring back the nonfunctioning one, and again pay to have a working machine re-delivered. What a joke. read more

Assured me they had a refrigerator in stock. Called me the next day and said no they didn't. Courtney was supposed to call me back after speaking to the manager but did not!!! Left me hanging for two hours. Update: finally received the refrigerator but it was damaged. Morgan said they would replace it. Waited all day for delivery. Now no one knows anything about it!! Overall this is a great place to shop. They've got great prices on most everything. You definitely sacrifice quality on some items but depending on what you're buying, you get your money's worth. The store always seems pretty well put together and organized. Also seems like they restructure at least once a year keeping the store updated. The staff is friendly and you only occasionally will get a grumpy employee. I've gotta say that's pretty rare at this particular Menards though. Do yourself a favor and shop larger items during their 11% rebate sale! You eat get a good chunk of change in the mail!! read more

Once again, great support staff! Shout out to the building crew in the back that all through covid have been dealing with so much and still happily calling around to other stores to fill an order. We've completed renovations right on time and any other projects quickly thanks to this Menards. 24 months of great service. Clean and well stocked, and rebates are great. Good job! read more

This was the second time I walked out of Menards in Lake Ozark so disappointed I could not believe the customer service. First time I explained the cashier did not give me the right paper work for my credit on a rebate. Not only did he talk down his nose to me but basically called me a liar. After an hour he sarcastically told the other person behind the service counter to deal with me, he had had enough. Within ten minutes she figured out the issue, return/credit, was able to resolve the problem. Last week I found a Dust-to-Dawn light that I really liked but they were out of the product. I spoke with lighting department, she didn't know when next shipment would be in, but would order one for me. Today I stopped by to find out what the status was on the light. I was told by service department that because I did not pay for the light they did not order it. Misunderstanding, I get it... but this is the same guy as the first scenario and same rude attitude. He just might as well have called me stupid and said this is the way it is done. At the end of the day, I went home, got on Amazon, purchased a light with more lumens, brighter and FOR LESS MONEY, free shipping. And stores wonder why Amazon is putting them out of business. PS, I built a home and have spent incredible amount of money at this Menards. NO MORE!!!! read more

Tried to buy 2 flats of Body armor 8 packs 3 8 pack to a flat sealed in plastic. Casher ripped open the plastic and pulled on bottle out and scanned it 31 times, even after I said stop. Each line on the screen showed 8pack. Not paying attention to the job or the customer. read more

I was new to Menards and my husband had ordered lumber. I went to Customer Service to ask for directions and the lady there was abrupt and rude, pointing out the direction telling me to look for a sign. Did she not know to send me to the lumber yard? Tell me where it was? Instead, as a senior I walked around for a long time to find someone to tell me what to do and the sign she told me to look for did not exist or was not visible. Overall, though, you guys had everything I needed but I would suggest you get more motorized chairs for disabled people and put patio furniture near the garden center for customer convenience. My first time ever in Menards! For some reason I always thought they were similar to a Home Depot. Looks like I was a bit off base. This place has everything! All the typical HD goods, but an entire section of groceries, seasonal decorations and more! Sorry Home Depot, I am kind of in love with Mendards. This store only has 2 motorized carts for their disabled customers! I can not walk this store due to my health issues as I'm sure many others cannot either. We spend an average of $100 a visit. But 9 out of 10 times there is NO CART! We have been to other Menards who have lots of carts! But this one has two!? In the heart of retirement area!? This is very poor management! read more

I rarely write reviews but would like your management team at Lake Ozark store to know they could benefit from customer service training. I came into your store to purchase a ladder on a slow Monday afternoon and could not find anyone to assist me. Employees were in various isles and ignoring me not looking up or saying "I'll be right with you". Not a friendly smile or making a customer a priority. I did complain about this to several employees as I left with my purchase. My husband had the same experience earlier in the day as he purchased items to paint. My experience was not isolated and none of the employees were busy. However, the check out service was excellent and very pleasant. read more

This place is the largest hardware store that I have ever seen. And I have seen a few. the selection is incredible. If Lowe's or Home Depot has 20 types of carpet, Menards has 100. while I haven't compared prices, it is worth a visit just to walk through and gawk at the variety and abundance of stuff. read more

I am building a home at the Lake of the Ozarks and have spent a lot of money with Menards. I went to pick up 20 2x6x12 boards around 4:00 pm August 5. At the security gate I asked for assistance in loading the boards. In the lumber barn no one to be seen. I waited but finally started loading the boards. Two young men with fork lifts came into the barn but moved material around never coming over to help. I'm 73 with my wife helping and these guys looked to be in their 20's. Aggravated at not getting any help I yelled out "thanks for the help boys". One young man yelled back "thanks for the mess"! When I asked his name he said " none of your business" that's My name. When I replied "I've spent thousands of dollars at this store in just a month". He said he didn't give a sxxxx how much money I've spent. I went into the store and asked for the manager. "Paul" said he would take care of it but I didn't feel like much would be done. Plan on sending this review to other places. read more

Such poor customer service at the Menards in Glendale Heights. No one was around to help, so I begin to sort through the lumber myself when an employee named Ron ran up to me and instead of helping, he scolded me for taking the lumber down myself. He then became so angry at me I was afraid that he was going to hit me. After all that, I waited in line to check out for more than 15 minutes. At that point in time, I just left. Did not want to give them my business. It will be a long time before I ever shop there again. Last year my business purchased $ 50,000 in plywood alone. Will be going to Home Depot instead.
