Serviced my John Deere Push Mower in a timely manner. Staff was friendly and professional. Rates are very reasonable. I would recommend!

I cannot recommend this business for the homeowner. I have…read morebeen a steady customer since July 2016 and serviced my power tools there yearly. The winter of 2026 I took the mower in for a yearly and was never notified of the status. On March 30, 2026 I called and picked it up. Six weeks later, May 15, 2026, the starter rope, which had been replaced, separated from the handle. I took the mower in for repair and was informed that FPLL no longer worked on Honda products, no longer was a Honda dealer, and could no longer get Honda parts. When I pointed out that the work was six weeks old and that I felt they had some level of responsibility for their work, they repeated they could not get parts. I asked if it needed parts and the rep agreed to look at it but it would be 2 weeks. Over 2 weeks later I called, they had done nothing and that I had been advised that they no longer worked on Honda products. When I asked why I didn't receive a call and wasted two weeks he replied that I had "gotten smart with their rep. just like l was being with him". I assured him that my next purchase, and any to follow would not be with FPLL to which he replied "Take it to Jones Honda". If he'd have said that two weeks earlier I wouldn't be writing this review.

Service is a little hard to come by unless you are in the clothing area. Speaking of clothing,…read morequite a few items are priced higher than what can be purchased at the bigger box store so if you are wanting to watch your pocket book, shop around a bit for your clothing. On the other side of the isle, hardware and other accessories, this is where it gets a little tricky. If you can find someone they do know their "stuff". Issue is finding and getting them to stop to listen. Now, the repair and parts counter area I have visited a few times and they did get what I needed but they tend to gravitate to the old timers and regulars to visit about Aunt Bea and Opie before acknowledging the more unfamiliar face. When you talk to them it's usually unpleasant as in they are doing you a huge favor by just speaking to you. Moving to the equipment outside. We were poised to purchase several gates and panels however there were no prices to be found on the products and the website is of no help whatsoever as far as pricing of said items go. As far as shopping with Race Brothers in the future, yes we will still come by for chemicals and sprays and the occasional pair of gloves. Please by all means keep shopping this great store and supporting local businesses. This review is just one opinion based on years of off and on visits.

I called four times to check on the repair and was told that they would check with technician and call back. The first three times, the call was not returned and no status was provided. I called a fourth time and was firm on getting a status. It was ready. Heritage used to be good before John Deere reduced the number of franchises and eliminated the smaller dealers and let heritage add more and larger locations. The Shawnee dealer (not owned by Heritage) was great but lost their franchise and went out of business. It is sad that a dealer gets too large to service their customers. Heritage used to be good, but has gone downhill with their expansion. Perhaps its has become too big to function and be managed properly. I would not recommend buying a John Deere lawn tractor with the dealer organization they have now. I am at the mercy of a maintenance operation that has poor performance.

I drove an hour and a half to see and possibly buy it, but it wouldn't even start. Second hand information from the techs that work there is that it had numerous oil leaks and wouldn't move. Neither the ad nor the rep I was dealing with ever said anything about it being a boat anchor or parts only.
