I recently moved to Memphis, and needed a dermatologist to look at some problems I was having with acne. I couldn't get a good idea of where to go based on online reviews, so I just called Memphis Dermatology Clinic since it was the closest to my office. I had a great experience! There was plenty of parking in the back, and the office was clean and had lots of seating. The nurse who took me to the exam room was very nice, and was very thorough going over my chart and asking questions about what brought me in. I had to wait a bit to see the doctor, but Dr. Overholser was great. She's young, very friendly, and explained everything she was prescribing. While I hope I don't have to go back for any more skin problems, if I do, I will definitely make my next appointment here. read more

The doctor was good but the hidden fees are very unpleasant. You will be told you owe nothing at the office and then get a bill every single time. Even if the doctor only came in for a followup for 30 seconds. read more

First let me say Dr. Woodmansee is fantastic! my husband sees her and loves her. she was not seeing new patients so I had to see Dr. Overholser. she seemed friendly and competent but now I have an ugly hole/scar on my leg. i believe this was the first time she removed a melanoma from a shin. surgery went well but then she said my insurance denied coverage for the graft and I would have to pay $20,000 unless I used a honey based patch. They forgot to order the ointment and allowed me to use it too long so it granulated and made a larger hole. Plus after checking diligently my insurance company said they were never contacted. now I have received a letter from a lawyer that our information may be compromised. I have other complaints but as you can see, it was not a good experience. read more

Clean comfortable waiting area with beautiful antique furniture. The staff are friendly and nice. After we filled out the paperwork we were called back in like 5 minutes. Get this,.. we weren't in the room 3 minutes and Dr. Parker came in!!! No long waiting for doctor. Dr. Parker is great, friendly, funny, and very knowledgeable. He recognized what was going on immediately and worked out a treatment plan. Memphis Dermatology is our go to place now. We lost faith in the others. Thank you, Dr. Parker and MDC. read more

Dr. Woodmansee is awesome! She is thorough, nice and very professional. She has removed two Melanoma in Situ, one on my face and the other on my neck. The one on the face was done by surgical incision. I know it was difficult but I do not have a scar. The other was done by MOH's surgery. Great results. Her nurse Lauren is really nice and very efficient as well. Having had two surgeries in pretty visible places by Dr. Woodmansee, I can't imagine seeing anyone else. I have recommended her to my friends and coworkers, even my regular physician, and I highly recommend her now. read more

The place was amazing from the front desk the ladies were very professional. The main wating room was beautiful and very well furnished. When we was escorted to the examination room our nurse( Lauren ) was kind and very informative about what they had planned ,when the (Dr. Court S. Woodmansee) Came in she instantly made us feel at ease the procedure went great, she was so very kind and explained each move she made . I highly recommend Memphis Dermatology. read more

Moved back to Memphis a year ago and needed to establish a new dermatologist. I saw Dr. Woodmansee and she noticed a spot on my face that needed attention. She said it needed to be removed and we could do it now or wait. I told her let's do it now, no need to wait. She removed the spot and because they have a lab to check for the biopsy results everything was done in one visit. Everyone has been very nice and helpful. Mark G. read more

Tuesday March 8, 2022 at 3:50 pm I Didn't make it past the RUDE appointment setter. There is no reason to accept RUDE service . I made an appointment with another clinic where the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. read more

Very tan woman at the front desk was very rude and unhelpful. She seemed more worried about putting on her makeup and whispering negative comments about the patients to whoever was behind the desk with her. Note to self ladies, the walls are thin and patients can hear you. My actual appointment was with Dr. Pietrangelo and he was very polite and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, the front desk staff is a patients first interaction and they are who set the tone for my visit. The mission of Memphis Dermatology states that they want to live out the exceptional quality and compassion exemplified by their founding physicians and that was not the case for my visit. I was shown no compassion and definitely no level of exceptional quality service. Dr. Pietrangelo was very thorough and professional, but his front desk staff made my experience very poor and did nothing to help an already anxious situation. read more

We saw Amy Huber for my teen's acne. When asked about our current regimen, I told her how I was using tea tree oil at the moment. She told me that that is ineffective, as using OIL, by its nature, is counterintuitive to treating acne. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Who the F doesn't know about using tea tree oil to fight acne? It's in so many beauty products! The minute this crap came out of her mouth, I knew I'd wasted $150+ (as I was a SELF PAY). My daughter and I just sat there, dumbfounded. So stupid. Never again. read more

The service received from scheduling the appointment to the care when seen was outstanding. They are very professional, but make you feel like you are a member of their family. I would refer anyone who needs skin care issues to see them. Dr. Friedman goes above and beyond expectations. read more

I deeply wish I could give 0 stars. Buckley Parker, PA genuinely ruined my skin and it is still an absolute mess. Please do not go to this dermatologist. I would recommend Levy Dermatology instead. read more

I have been blessed to be treated by several doctors in this practice (Dr. Amonnette, Dr. Amy Huber and Dr. John Huber.). Every patient who enters is treated with the utmost respect and while you are there for surgery, you are still made to feel comfortable between procedures. The doctors and their staff are professional and keep you updated during the entire surgery and are always happy to answer any and all questions you might have. I would happily recommend these doctors as the best in their field! read more

Quick and efficient service. Doctor was friendly and knowledgeable. Quick but effective. Offered multiple options for care.

Since my initial review I've gone to clinic and called the clinic multiple times. The doc and nursing staff are great. I have a specialty prescription and the staff who handle the paperwork and insurance have done a great job of handling the script over the past year. The best part, they argue with insurance, not me. read more

Memphis Dermatology Clinic offers advanced skin care treatments. Dr. Friedman and Staff are worth my five-hour drive. Because of the excellent care I receive there, they will forever have me as a patient. Dr. Friedman is beautiful on the inside and out. Mrs. Friedman's assistant, Gayle, is like having your best friend to hold your hand. Despite their busy practice, they are always professional with a kind disposition. I excitedly await my next appointment on April 18th. Thank you for offering me care that is second to none. read more

I guess 1 star is as low as I can get. When I first moved to Memphis in December, several people recommended this clinic. I called early on to get an appointment as I was due for my biologic injection that month. I was told to just call back to see if there were cancellations because the first appointments available were in April. Ok... fast forward. By late February, I was desperate so I called again, and I got an appointment in March. I saw Dr Amy Huber -- I explained that my dermatologist in Knoxville had originally diagnosed palmo-plantar pustular psoriasis but ultimately changed to psoriatic arthritis. The psoriasis only impacts my hands and feet. She never looked at either my palms or soles of me feet. I told her what medication I had been on and that I was WAY overdue. Thank goodness the nurse and I both knew I should probably have the loading dose...Dr Huber explained that there are so many biologics that she can't keep them straight. Um... still I figured I'd get my shot and then decide if I should find a different dermatologist. Today I learned that my insurance company denied the medication because there was no explanation given about why I didn't use one of the different options --I could have explained or my records from Knoxville would have shown, but neither of us were asked AND I discovered that the diagnosis they submitted was plaque psoriasis...completely different disorder! My dermatologist in Knoxville looked at my feet and hands every single visit - and she had pictures of what they had looked like in the past, but the great and powerful Dr Huber didn't need to actually examine me to misdiagnose me I guess. read more

Have been under Dr Lawhead's care for the past year. She and her nurses have been amazing...very thorough and compassionate. I'm thankful to have been in their care. read more

I was appalled at the way my 84 year old mother was treated by Doctor Amy Huger/Ammonette. My mother had unusual bruising that eventually had her in the hospital, but there was no regard or I guess understanding of this. My mother was subjected to the burning of two spots that left her with the continual bleeding of both of those spots as well as the continual bleeding she already had. She was hospitalized the next day with a platelet count of 3, normal is 150. I believe this doctor is incompetent. I would advise seeking any treatment elsewhere. read more
