Good drinks, good beer selection, friendly (if seriously busy) bartenders, decent patio and fantastic inside seating. The decor is wonderful - love the belt-driven fans and the tin ceiling. And the food is really good - the pork tenderloin (brought down from sister bar Digby's was a "grown up" version with flavorful marinated meat encased in a nice breading that refused to crumble off, topped with a mustard sauce and house-made cucumber, onion and jalapeño pickles on a brioche bun that stood up to it all. It's not the tenderloin I had as a kid, but it's a delight for a grown-up. I really like this place, and so does my wife.

The bartender was friendly & attentive. The surprise was that food comes from the bar across the street! There is no kitchen here, but they own the other bar. The basement has a nightclub vibe, with lots of good EDM/rap music playing throughout the night. It's fairly large, and has good lighting/party effects. There is a bar and bathrooms down here as well. There isn't much seating downstairs as it is more for dancing. The first floor now contains two bars, and has plenty of seating. This is where you'll probably want to be if you want to sit and order some food, while also being in the bar environment. There are usually a decent amount of people on the first floor. The second floor has more of a lounge vibe, with a bar and a ton of seating. There is a beer pong table, and I think they sometimes do karaoke up here. If you just want to sit and chill, without loud music and lots of people, the second floor is where to go. 308 also has food, and I was surprised by how good it is. I have had a couple of their sandwiches, and for a bar, it is pretty darn good. It's not somewhere I would go out of my way to eat at, but it is good. The drink specials are generally pretty good; some notable specials they run are the $1 "you call it" shots, where the bartender just kind of pours whatever they want, and the $4 Titos specials. They have just about every type of liquor imaginable. The bathrooms here are kind of weird, and it can get very backed up when it's busy. The second floor one is particularly bizarre, being a unisex bathroom with a lock that also has multiple urinals/stalls, with no real divider between them. I'm not entirely sure how that one is supposed to operate. Overall though, 308 has become somewhere I go to semi-reguarly, particularly due to its multiple offerings. (Want to dance? Go to the basement. Want to just chill? Second floor. etc.) It's not a bad choice by any means if you're in the Purdue/West Lafayette area.

I showed up early to grab a drink and was excited to try a Trauma Llama Ding Dong from Teays River Brewing (which I specifically chose this spot for)... only to be told the draft system was down. Bummer #1. Not the end of the world, but still disappointing when it was part of my reason for picking Big League. Fast forward to me getting home, excited for pizza -- only to open the box and find black olives instead of green. I called back and asked, "Do you guys have green olives?" She shouted to the back, confirmed they did, then offered the world's flattest "oops." She said the system only lists "olives" without clarifying color. Well... then maybe mention that when someone specifically requests green olives? To be fair, I didn't raise a huge fuss, but I was genuinely disappointed. We found the mac n cheese a bit watery, lacking the punch of full flavors, more budget Kraft than craft. Beef Manhattan did better with some echos to vintage cooking however better options abound in the area. Service was done right, sense of family here and enjoyable long night community.
