We had the best experience with Soraya! We had roman shades installed throughout our home and they really turned out wonderful! From start to finish, it was a very easy process. Soraya came to our home with several sample fabrics and when I shared pictures of colors and patterns of fabrics that I was interested in, she sent her team on the hunt and mailed me many more samples in just days. The shades arrived on time, no delays and look stunning. The quality of the materials used, workmanship and installation....all perfection! I highly recommend Soraya and Memo Fabrics! read more

Me & my husband shopped online for custom drapes for our new place. During the initial stages of the pandemic at the end of March very few designers were making any in person, home estimates, let anyone providing a free in home estimate. Soraya came to our home with her mask on and was very helpful & professional. She was able to understand the vision we wanted and gave us a great deal for our 3 rooms. We asked for both sheer and blackout draperies for our rooms and she provided us with sheer and stationary drapes for our living room. She did not try to convince us to invest more than what was needed and we were very happy with her work! The quality is impressive and the work is professional for a great price! You will be very happy going with Memo fabric. Especially after shopping through various businesses online & in person. Her work is phenomenal! read more

We needed some custom 14' drapes fabricated and installed in a Hollywood high-rise, so I went to Yelp to see what my options were. After striking out on the first two leads, I came across Memo Fabric. Soraya and team were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. They were able to work around some unusual site conditions and get our job done on time and within budget. Our measurement was a bit off and the drapes hung on the floor after installing; she was nice enough to have them altered and re-installed at no additional cost. I would highly recommend these guys for any residential or commercial drapery needs. read more

Several months ago, my wife and I decided to change our 30 year old drapes. We did some research and then we telephoned several drape stores, some of whom provided us with estimates for new drapes. And then we met Soraya, who came to our residence, took measurements, showed us samples, provided us with an estimate and told us when the new drapes would be ready to install. Everything Soraya told us was true. The four installers who installed our new drapes were highly professional and courteous. My wife loves our new drapes and yes, the price was very reasonable. Thanks Soraya Charles C read more

I had received a quote from a local business specializing in fabricating curtains and draperies. I was all set to hire them when they told me it would take 6-8 weeks for them. That would put it in to the holiday period which was unacceptable to me. I looked on Yelp and found excellent reviews for Soraya and Memo Fabric downtown LA. I contacted Soraya who was able to come out very soon to see what I had in mind (two balloon curtains in the kitchen and an hourglass there and an hourglass in a bathroom ). Her price was almost half of the other one but more importantly for me she had them made within a month. They're beautiful and they did a super job. I'm recommending them to an interior designer friend who I hope will contact her when she has need. Thank you Soraya. read more

My girlfriend and I were shooting a magazine cover last week and needed to find drape/fabric options last minute (on a Saturday for a Monday shoot). We tried Joanne's but they didn't have the amount of fabric we needed for the backdrop (5 drapes 9' L x 4' W). We went to the garment district and searched the best drape store in DTLA, Memo Fabric was #1, so we dropped by. From the moment I walked in the door, the staff treated me like a first class customer. They cut pieces of every color and style I wanted to see, they gave me a cold bottle of water, and even waited for our producers to give us the final OK. When I had picked all the colors and fabrics I needed (1 purple, 1 green, 1 gold), they gladly cut the pieces for me and even offered me a special price. It was such a smooth experience from start to finish, and I will be returning as soon as I need to. read more

Soraya altered a large pair of full length curtains for us and made two cushions from the extra fabric. She also arranged for all new hardware. The alterations, which included a major rework of the pleats, were expertly done and the curtains look much better than before. The length is perfect and the hardware works better than before. The cushions (made at her suggestion) are very well made and lovely! The pricing was very reasonable. Soraya is a pleasure to work with and I would definitely hire her and the Memo team again. read more

Excellent local business located in Downtown LA. Memo Fabric is a one-stop shop, they have a selection of fabric textures, colors, and liners for you to choose from, and they can make your drapes in a variety of styles as well. We bought custom drapes for our loft, which features large windows (140" x 92"). We were told it takes 15 days to get our drapes, and they arrived at the store right on time. Price was competitive, service was great, and most importantly, the drapes are beautiful. We paid half of the total cost as a deposit and the remaining half when we picked up our drapes. Overall, it was an excellent experience, and supporting local business is also a plus. read more

This business is OUTSTANDING. We had a very small job, but important for us, to drape our newly re-done almost 100 year old house/master bedroom. I had estimates ranging from several hundred dollars to $3K!! I was in touch with Soraya, who recommended I make a visit to their shop to discuss my vision and look at the fabrics they had. I almost didn't go because I didn't want to go to L.A.. SO GLAD I DID! Soraya was wonderful! I had brought photos of my project and discussed with her what I wanted in terms of look, fabric, etc. She quoted me a price and then let me know she'd come out to do the measuring if we selected them. We did end up selecting them and when she came out to do the measure, she made a couple of recommendations which I followed. The result is a beautiful, lush drapery for our bedroom. We're very grateful because even though it was a small project she took time and care for it. Will definitely go to Soraya and Memo Fabric for any future drapery needs FIRST! read more

I always give honest reviews and I had to think long and hard about this one. Although I feel that the service, workmanship, quality, price, and overall experience was as close to 5 stars as possible, there were a few problems that brought it down to 4 and let me explain... I needed a cheap curtain done asap, but the problem was that it had to be entirely 100% custom made and so many details involved to make sure that it fit just right, many other manufacturers simply were not able to do that. I even went to a certain major do-it-yourself home improvement chain and they quoted me a ridiculously high price that I could have bought a car with. I went on yelp and kind of picked Memo at random, I called and it took a while to schedule, but the manager was super-nice and accomodating. I finally got around to come to their warehouse in DTLA a week later, it was a huge place with gorgeous custom Persian rugs, murals, and artwork, they clearly were experts at their craft. It took only a few minutes to go over the details, but the selection of fabric was kind of limited and it took a while to pick the right combination (this was due to the fact that we were on a budget and could not order custom ones which would have been more expensive). They were able to fit the curtain, with custom rods and mounts within my budget, very well within budget, in fact it was around 1/50th of what other shops quoted me, I was really pleased. But the only problem came around when the curtains needed to be installed, for whatever reason, their usual installer flaked out and things took a few weeks longer for them to find a replacement. This was the only major problem, but it was an issue since the installation is considered part of the package. They were able to find someone else to install it and things finally got done. But don't get me wrong, these people are very nice and honest, they really know what they are doing, they got a difficult project and made a product that fit close to as best as what we could have hoped for. I certainly would recommend Memo to everyone for their curtain or textile needs, they are super-low cost and 100% custom designed (not partial-pre-made-custom like other major home improvement chains). I'm very certain that the delay in installation was a one-time thing, but it did cost us some time and money (but no extra charges from Memo of course). read more
