Food was really good! Everything was well seasoned. I literally could eat the rice and beans alone with the veggies. They have outdoor and indoor seating. I'm glad I got to experience the outdoor seating on a warm summer day. Parking is a little rough but I heard it's easier to find parks on the weekend. Robert was amazing and hospitable.

It seemed a popular local restaurant. We were visiting from another state, and arrived after 8pm. There was one patron before us, and two more after us. For late dinner, we could choose large or medium box of four different entrees. Jerk chicken brown stew was our best choice. Jerk chicken was special and delicious itself, but we did not like the sauce on it. Chicken curry was very tasty. Oxtail was cooked thoughtfully and in a strong sauce. There were about 20+ seats inside.

Jerk Chicken, Rice and Peas, cabbage and plantains (I ate the plantains first) well flavored The rice really taste so good I could eat it alone and the jerk chicken yummy, the cabbage was cooked to perfection not soggy. I really took too long to visit and support but once I did it was well worth it. I'll definitely be back. Oh and the homemade sorel and pineapple ginger drink definitely needs to be bottled love every minute of it I need the saline versions of both, cannot get enough. Thank you

Ordered take out. Service was excellent because the food was delivered early, hot and well packaged. Got the jerk chicken and oxtail dinner. The oxtails were well flavored. I prefer mine w a bit more juice but they were not dinged for it. Peas and rice and plantains well made and flavor pad was the cabbage. The jerk chicken had gold but not great flavor but it was on the dry side. Like it was over cooked possibly. But I would give them another try to make it up because it wasn't terrible. The portion sizes are great too. Every ting was irie.

Always satisfied here. Flavors, portions, options. It's everything you want. I can always recommend the oxtail. The jerk chicken is what you want. Fried chicken is great. Cabbage is also a yes. Rice was saved for breakfast. So much I couldn't finish. Amazing. Plantains...wish I had more. I'll always give this place 5 stars. Keron is a gem. Have a conversation with her. And then give this place all your money. Seriously, try everything. If you have a family, treat them. If you have a bunch of friends, order this to the kiki.

Immediately was intrigued and figured the menu would be just as interesting. The best thing about the place was our phenomenal hostess, waiter, bartender and maître d', Janiel. We stopped in before heading to a concert, and overall the food really hit the spot. We ordered the rasta pasta with chicken and the oxtails with rice and peas, plus patties as appetizers. Everything was flavorful, well-seasoned, and honestly reminded me of the food I had in Jamaica. Definitely satisfied my craving. The ambiance was cute and had a nice vibe, and the drinks were good as well. The only downside was the service--it was a bit slow since there seemed to be only one waiter covering the entire restaurant. Because of that, I'd probably avoid coming here if I'm on a tight schedule. That said, I'd definitely come back again when I have more time to relax and enjoy the experience.

Because babyyyyyy that spice don't lie. I have to admit I am such a wimp when it comes to spice levels. When the option is very spicy or mild, I'm going to always choose the latter. However, I completely surprised myself when I literally did not want to stop eating (although my insides were screaming) because the jerk chicken with rice and chickpeas was just so damn good. This was a pre-made platter and the portion was generous so I'm bracing myself for round two! I really loved that although the spiciness was at the forefront, other flavors shined through in their seasoning. I also had a veggie patty that I really enjoyed. The veggies had a nice kick and were housed in the flakiest of vessels. Everything was truly delish and I really want to go back to taste their beef patty and mac and cheese. I think they close a bit early though on certain days so check that out before you go.

I've had this restaurant on my list for a couple of years now being a Caribbean gal and all, and I am always looking to support Chefs that have similar roots to me and are doing big thanggggs, and finally, I was able to dine at the infamous Tatiana making my foodie bucket list dreams come true. Shout out to my super cool hubby who made one call and was able to get us a last minute reservation that very weekend we were in town. Thanks hubby and thanks JB! So - From the moment we arrived and paid our bill, we received exquisite service, with complimentary champagne provided when we were seated, tasty dishes sent out for us to try and even a visit by Chef Kwame himself. Seems like a hardworking and respectable person and it's nice to see his dreams come to fruition. I noticed that he made his rounds visiting nearly every table and allowing photo opps for folks to post on their social media channels. Made it a nice, memorable touch and to me it shows his gratitude to his diners / supporters. I def made sure to get a pic too of course. All the staff were sweet and attentive and made us feel like VIP. Neo, our server, was great! Food: My faves were the curry goat patties, hamachi, brown stew chicken, rice and peas (reminds me of my uncle's), and the jerk lamb rib. Vibes: Super jumpin'. Gave me lounge vibes with R&B hits playing all night long. I couldn't stop singing, then chewing, then dancing, then sippin' lol The only negatives were that the bathrooms were not well maintained toward the mid-to end of the evening. I broke the seal thanks to the alchy flowing lol, so I visited the unisex bathrooms a few times and they got progressively grimier thanks to some dudes who couldn't control their stream and pee'd all over the seat and floor. Gross. I am sure that was just a rare occurrence though. And another negative is the reservation process in general. The Resy booking site to book Tatiana is super annoying, making it extremely difficult to make a reservation in advance for the dates/times you actually want to visit. I've tried on many occasions but have never been successful w getting a reservation even when I time it perfectly. Apparently I am always seconds off or something. Seems like bots have taken over the booking site or wondering if Tatiana intentionally blocks tables for celebs/VIP where the only way to get in is to know someone or wait in their line (which I simply won't do). I personally hate calling people for favors to get in to places, because I feel like I shouldn't have to put in so much effort or get others involved in my plans, so definitely put a sour taste in my mouth. However, Group bookings seem to be more promising, which makes sense as that automatically brings in more revenue. Seems like a lot of trendy NYC restaurants are like this though. Being from LA, I am able to get a reservation at any restaurant I want to go to with at least 3 weeks advance notice (even n/Naka which is notoriously hard to book), but in NYC, snagging a reservation at a popular place is a royal pain in the backside. Makes it hard for an out of towner like me to plan a proper itinerary... Nevertheless, Tatiana by Kwame is definitely a fun, upscale Afro-Caribbean restaurant to visit (if you can score a reservation) with bumpin' R&B songs, great dining room service and delicious eats. Great for a fun birthday dinner with friends who like food. Looking forward to trying his newest dining venture, Maroon, in Las Vegas next! Love that it's only a 45 min flight away from LA. Yay! Overall Rating: 4.5/5 stars
