The ice cream is great! Best in the area for sure. We tried both regular dairy flavors and non dairy flavors. Both were incredible. Prices are super reasonable especially for the size scoops. Milkshakes were a bit more expensive but still way cheaper than other places. Store was clean and staff were friendly. There is usually a line down the block in the summer, so was great to not have to wait too long in the wintertime. Even in the winter though, parking can be tough, so plan to walk a little ways. Worth the walk/wait though. read more

Small little shop with a variety of flavors. We leaned towards the homemade options (indicated with *). We were able to get samples and decided on blueberry lemon, toasted coconut, and Keylime. There were real ingredients in each (blueberries, coconut, pie crust). Served with a little waffle cone. The blueberry lemon was our favorite. Highly recommend. Some of the best ice cream I've ever had! They have so many flavors to choose from, ranging from classics to more interesting flavors. I got a scoop of Cinnamon Toast Crunch and a scoop of dark chocolate raspberry truffle in a waffle cone. Amazing! So rich and flavorful. Found Melt through local recommendations. And of course yelp echoes their feedback. Cutest little shop with plenty of seating outside. There is a lot right behind where you can park or if you're able to grab street parking go for it. Nestled right next to the beach. It's great for those looking to cool down after a hot day. The scoops are absolutely huge and the prices are very reasonable. Staff is super sweet and patient as we navigated all the different options. I would say this ice cream is up there with some of the best I have had and they do have some really delicious and unique flavors. read more

This is a MUST DO place when coming to NMB. The selection of flavors is great, there is always new ones to try, and the staff are fantastic. If you are not sure what a flavor tastes like they are happy to give you a try. If there is a line, don't fret, it moves right along. Small little place right near Main St and N. Ocean Blvd across from the beach. We feel that based on some of the other ice cream places around (not going to mention names) it has to be the most reasonably priced for the amount of ice cream you get, and did we say they taste GREAT. Oh and if they have the Ube flavor....get it, or at least try a taste...the best interesting flavor they serve IMO. Highly recommend this place. read more

We visited Melt Ice Cream Shop twice during our trip to Myrtle Beach -- and it was worth every bite! The sort of hidden spot is has a fun, laid-back vibe that makes you want to hang out and enjoy your treat. There is public beach parking across the street and you can easily walk on the sand with your treat. During summer hours there may be a line, but it moves very quickly and it is worth the wait! Between the two visits, we tried the Peanut Butter Cup, Lavender Honey, Double Chocolate Raspberry Truffle, and French Silk -- and every single flavor was incredible. The ice cream is rich, creamy, HAND MADE, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. The Lavender Honey was especially unique and refreshing. You can tell it is made with real lavender. The Peanut Butter Cup of course has huge chocolate peanut cups added in the ice cream. Waffle cones are also made in house and you can smell them as soon as you walk in. You are missing out if you don't some waffle to your order. The staff was super friendly and happy to offer samples to help us decide. I LOVE the graphic shirts on the walls that say "it's not summer until you MELT" You can tell they care about both the product and the customer experience. Love Melt! My mother-in-law introduced us to Melt and we keep coming back. They have a lot of original flavors, plus the all time favorites. I have tried several of their original flavors, but my all time favorite is Honey Lavender in a waffle cone. It does make a delicious milkshake too. When I saw the amount of ratings and the score I had to give this place a shot! Tip of the century, on the weekends and high season weeknights be prepared to wait!!! Although the line moves fast there is definitely going to be one!! I got the three scoop on a cone. Vanilla and strawberry are super rich and delicious. The peanut butter caramel oreo was a bit too rich for me. Also the three scoops broke my own after a few licks and became a hot mess. Check your cone before you go!!! read more

We have been to Melt 3 times so far on our vacation! The ice cream is fantastic and the staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. I like the mix of homemade flavors as well as some classic Hershey ice creams as well. The building is small, but there is a good amount of outdoor seating. I got the double stuff Oreo ice cream all three times because it was that good. Also, I appreciate that they are open later than other places in the off season. read more

Best ice cream in Myrtle beach! This place and calabash ice cream are A MUST for ice cream. Melt is top tier in my opinion. If you look on the website it has won multiple awards, etc. it's genuinely the best ever! Only thing is I wish it was located in a different area, I would definitely try to hit this spot before nine if you're with kiddos. Places in Myrtle beach can be a little sketchy after 9 and there is a curfew for minors at nine. Otherwise hit this place up! The key lime flavor is insane with chunks of pie within the ice cream, biscoff and brown sugar bourbon are also very very good! They even have a flavor called play dough. All of it is good and I wish I had a place like this back home in Oklahoma. read more

We were wanting some ice cream and this was in walking distance from our condo. The place was jam packed with a line. The line moved very fast and the employees were nice. Lucky for us it was real cool in there too! Big variety of flavors. I was amazed how cheap it was! A single scoop was more like one and a half. They offer lactose free as well. Always my first stop when going to North Myrtle Beach! My favorite ice cream in the area, especially the hand made flavors. My go-tos are cookie monster and moose tracks. In particular, I believe that soft serve vanilla is the way of life. - Picture me. In the mountains. Overseeing waterfalls over a river. Cliff diving with some baddies. Sun shining. For eternity. I dive off the cliff, and climb my way up. Strapless, no harness, maybe just a speedo and some splash shoes. I get back to the edge of the cliff. One hand on one hip. Other hand? Dipping into a barrel of vanilla custard. No spoon. Straight finger nail scraping the cream. Might dip my head straight in the barrel. Brrrrrrr motorboat central brrrrrrr. - Anyways. I've devoured and destroyed pounds and pounds of soft serve vanilla across many states and countries at many different spots. My love handles speak for my experience. My rolls of fat prove my dedication. My wrinkles and deteriorating face... well, i don't know but there's gotta be a link. Whit's Vanilla Custard is Top 5, maybe Top 3, I've ever had.
