The key to open our tall grandfathers clock was becoming hard to work and finally jammed up completely. Since it is quite old and the lock parts are very tiny I was afraid it couldn't be repaired. Brad said he didn't have parts for furniture but would take a look at it. He also said if he couldn't help me he wouldn't charge for a service call. Brad could see that the bar in back of the lock was slightly bent. He was able to gently pry off the front part and adjust the bar. Now I can wind the clock and tell time again. This was not a typical locksmith problem and I'm so happy Brad could solve it creatively. read more

Mel saved our trip!!! My husband lost the keys to our trailer with All our belonging in it on a Sunday afternoon. Looking for moonstones on Moonstone Beach, I must have dropped the car key. We were visiting Cambria for our wedding anniversary and suddenly the weekend might have been ruined. We called Mel on Sunday morning (thinking we would ask him to come Monday) and over the phone he quoted an estimate so reasonable and said he'd be there in 10 minutes. He arrived shortly thereafter, and we had a new key in hand less than 20 minutes later. The final price was less than quoted since the job was faster than he originally thought. I have never written a review before but this guy deserves a bad review. I called him this afternoon at 430 pm while i was getting ready for work, and hired him to go rescue my 17 year old who locked his keys in his car 40 miles from our house at the beach. He said he would be there in 30min........but he never showed up. We tried to call him back and he did not answer the phone! Hours later we have figured out how to get in to his car, but what a pain in the but!! I can't believe he said he would be there and then totally flaked, on a kid! Totally lame! read more
