We have always liked this location, even though we live closer to another one. Tonight we decided to go with friends for a quick pizza dinner. We ordered an appetizer of chicken wings and after about 45 minutes, asked the waitress what was up. She told us they had delivered the wings to the wrong table. I get that things happen, but if you mess up, say so and apologize. It would have made a difference. Then the manager came by and asked how everything was, like he always does, which we have appreciated on past visits. I said everything was fine, but we waited a long time for an appetizer of wings, that were delivered to the wrong table. He winced, but made no effort to apologize. Ok.... So the wings finally came, then the pizzas. We ate and paid the bill. I was surprised to see we were charged for the wings, considering how long we waited because of the first order going to the wrong table. They were only $7.99, but it would have been a nice gesture to take them off the tab or come by and apologize, something is better than nothing. My hubby took me here to eat & visit for their Epic Trivia (vendor name) night. The kids then adults were competing for $mula$ playing Super Mario Cart. We got there too late to be able to compete but now that I'm fully aware of how much I'm not missing next weekends! Lol my hubby told me he thought it might be around 5-10 bucks, nope! I will start off by saying amazing pizza! I'm not crazy about pizza so when I find a place I like I know it's special. I tried this place once because a coworker gave me a slice one day and I loved it and I said I have to go back for more. We came in on a Saturday night and it was rainy so it was not crowded at all. I have been seeing ads for the Taco Nirvana pizza so I ordered that. You get to chose between chicken or beef topping and I went with the beef. I also ordered honey sriracha wings for an appetizer. Both did not disappoint as I knew they wouldn't. The wings were fresh, great flavor, and not too spicy. It was like a Thai chili sauce which I love. The pizza was hot, flavorful and that sauce was amazing. Make sure to ask for extra sauce to dip the pizza in. The pizza really did taste like a cross between pizza and tacos as the meat is flavored with taco seasoning. The service was just as great. We had a very attentive waiter that made sure we got everything we needed. Needless to say I'm a fan and will be back. Ever since I've been in the central Florida area, I have enjoyed Mellow Mushroom. I recently went to this location and the experience was no different; a very colorful, dynamic atmosphere, delicious food always served hot, and fantastic shareables. This time, I got the Mighty Meaty, which is one of my absolute favorites on their menu. Our waiter was great, answering questions for us about the menu and giving us suggestions based on what we were in the mood for. The only downside to our visit was the cleanliness of the restaurant. It's usually very clean and organized, but it seemed like this time around, the table we were sat at was a bit more dirty, and the floor needed a bit more care. Aside from that, this is one of our fave places to splurge on pizza. It's not super cheap, but the food quality is well worth the price! Our table of four came in around 9:00/9:15. The bartender was flirting with one guy at the bar and hanging all over him instead of serving the table. She saw we needed service once our food was out and still didn't come check on us. I had to get up for sauces/seasonings and the two times she came by for boxes and checks I had to call her back bc she was rushing away after she dropped off our checks. She didn't ask how we wanted the check, she just brought out one check for a double date. She was extremely distracted. None of us were happy with the neglectful service from her. We went here on a Sunday about 5:45 pm, service was terrible. Our waitress kept passing us multiple times not even checking if our food was good or anything. The food took an excessive amount of time to get and our waitress when we were ordering we explained it multiple times still didn't get the pizza, right noticed that we were a little upset in picking off the items to put it on a different side so that it would be how we ordered it. I have seen this place for years but never dared to try it! Last night we finally decided to try it out and we regret nothing. The restaurant is beautiful and big. The service was good, Sel did such a great job explaining everything since it was our first time. We happened to go on music bingo! It was a fun experience while we ate our pizza and calzone. I also had the casa amigos margarita and it was tasty and fresh. We ordered the buffalo chicken pizza and it was exceptional. the crust was so crispy yet soft and seasoned beautifully. The pizza itself tasted delightful. The calzone was good and super cheesy! The only thing I would say, is that the restaurant could use a deep cleaning. The booths looked a little dirty, and the walls too. This is something that could make a big difference for customers. Husband happy with the beer selection, unhappy with the beer menu, as it was not up to date and had one of his favorites listed, which they did not have. We split a Cuban po'boy, which I guess had the addition of lettuce and tomato because the preparer thought it should? It was delicious on french bread. In fact, we both agreed it was even better then when pressed. Or maybe it was just how good that bread was? Also the pork was out of this world. My Son and I visited the Mellow Mushroom today and order two medium, two topping pizzas, two sodas and an order of their new pizza rolls. The server was attentive and courteous. The food tasted good and we enjoyed our meal. The restaurant was clean and there were plenty of televisions to keep your attention. When we were finished, the server gave us the check and I was shocked. Maybe it's me and it very well may be. However, $71 seems high for pizza, in my opinion. That's not including the tip. We waited for an hour for our food and finally left without our pizza. Super slow and inattentive service.

I have been to this location two times in the past 4 weeks. The first time was a dine-in experience. When we got there, the hostess was busy doing something at the bar, but she acknowledged us right away and told us we would be seated soon. I ordered a cheese and avocado hoagie. It came stuffed with plenty of fresh avocado that was just the right level of ripeness. I also had the creamy Mellow Mushroom Soup, chock full of portobello mushrooms, a mushroom lover's delight. My son ordered a pizza. Both came out rather quickly, Unlike many pizzerias whose crust is just a conduit for delicious toppings, Mellow Mushroom crust is like eating a soft pretzel--two yummy treats in one. The second time I ordered from this location was for takeout. We got my favorite--Holy Shiitake with portobello mushrooms, garlic aioli, chives, and caramelized onions. Yum! When I called, they said the order would be ready in about 25 minutes. When I arrive in 20 minutes, it was already out piping hot! I will be back whenever I am in the area. read more

Mellow mushroom has a great menu, especially if you are gluten free! This restaurant features one of the best GF crusts I have had in a long time. The pricing is fare and the atmosphere is great for any kind of party. The bar area is large and usually empty. This visit I had pretzel bites, a tequila mule, and a half cheese half bacon pizza. The pretzel bites are good, but a little greasy. The mule was nice and refreshing! The pizza came out cooked well, with nice flavor. It does have a thicker crust so thin crust fans beware when ordering traditional pies! The only downfall here is the service is a little on the slower side but not terrible if you have appetizers and drinks to help the wait seem less. I ordered the Philosopher's Pie: olive oil base with grilled ribeye, portobello mushrooms, artichoke hearts, and kalamata olives, along with provolone, feta, and mozzarella cheeses. Yes please!! It took a while for the pizza to get to me, so it wasn't as hot as I would have liked upon arrival, but nothing a lil nuking couldn't fix. That Philosopher's Pie had me feeling as such when I contemplated life and the awesomeness of each bite with all those great toppings. And the perfection of that crust, not too doughy and nowhere near crispy. Absolutely magnificent!! I probably shouldn't take so long to patron the Mushrooms of Mellowness again. We always ask for Elizabeth as our server because she's warm, ebullient and attentive. She's a great conversationalist. The meatballs are a must! They're filled with mozzarella and top with an excellent marinara sauce, and shaved Parmesan cheese. The restaurant seated me quickly and the host even noticed my briefcase and asked if I'd like to seated near an outlet.
