12/2/23 Went Christmas shopping on this day and got treated…read morepoorly. Restrooms are closed to paying customers but not employees. I went into the fitting room with my 10 y/o sister! She had 6 items. Then my mom came into the same fitting room with 5 items because there were only 2 open fitting rooms. If you're so worried about people shoplifting why don't you just have an associate working the fitting rooms! My sister was skipping out of the fitting room with an undergarment in her hand and the security lady started yelling "Ma'am" making sure my little sister didn't try on the bra. How embarrassing. After my mom and me got out of the fitting room the security lady got on her radio to inform that we were out of the fitting room and that it was empty. As if we were trying to shoplift! I put every item we did not want back on the rack. Every time I opened the door, the security lady was looking into the fitting room WHILE we were inside. When I confronted her, she told me they thought there was a man in there with us, what kind of bs story is that? This is the worst customer service. Don't spend your money here, there are much nicer stores.

I was there to buy a faux leather for a filming and after party. The last of one design had a stuck zipper at the top with a broken pull tab. No big deal right, I have plenty of small trinkets I can use as a pull tab. Neither I nor the sales associate could get the zipper down. I had to go to the manager for help.???? Really? Get some pliers from the back and let's see if this coat should even be on the floor! I didn't buy it and she suggested a nice cotton shirt instead... WTH?! So I, being a gym rat, wanted some compression pants and shirt. I found them. The changing room was closed. In a clothing store! What we still in lock down? Typically, JCPenney wouldn't be my first or even third choice to clothes shop, but this location is about 5-minutes from my house, sooo YOLO! The layout here hasn't changed since I was a kid. Home goods in the back, clothes in the front. The men's jeans selection is super small and the store was destroyed. Clothes, toys, and shoes just kind of strewn about everywhere. We didn't find any shoes for my son, but I did buy one pair of pants. The line to check out was insanely long. Stretching all the way into the bedding area. One thing we did notice, there were zero workers on the floor while we shopped and only four people checking guests out. We were looking at the firearms in the case for a little while and were asked by one associate if we wanted to look at anything in the case and at that time we were not ready to see anything. There were 3 associates behind the counter at the time and another associate outside the counter talking to someone it seemed like he knew, we later found out this associate was a manager. When we were ready to look at a rifle from behind the counter we asked an associate that was working at the computer. At the time all the other associates had left from behind the counter and were talking with the manager and the person he seemed to know. The associate at the computer asked one of the associates now outside the counter to help us. The associate that was asked to help us clearly did not want to go back behind the counter to help us and verbal said so. He reluctantly went back behind the counter ,but after the way he acted and things he said about not wanting to help us (customers) I no longer wanted to deal with him. We decided not to look at a firearm and put down the other items we were going to purchase. We walked to the front and asked for a manager because we felt how the associate acted was very inappropriate and unprofessional. This is when we found out the associate standing outside the firearm counter was a manager. Mind you this manager stood there and saw how this associate acted and heard what he said. Said "manager" heard what we had to say and talked about some customer service award the store had previously received. It's great they had received this award ,but clearly based on the customer service we received that day we did not understand how the store received such an award. We were very disappointed and upset with the customer service we received on this visit. We will not be back and will be sharing with our friends and family about the customer service we experienced.

In the fall of 2018 I decided to ask for the balance of my clothes back, due to them being so slow paying. I called but the owner Cathy would not return calls. Finally she answered and said she would pack up the items not sold so a friend could come pickup whats left and she would mail me a check. I never heard back. I keep calling and finally an employee answered the and said she would take care of it. After more calls I got a check for $45. The employee said there was only 2 items left.
