    I recently became a first time client at the JCPenney Salon, and I will definitely be going back. I didn't have an appointment, but they fit me in when I made a last minute decision to visit their location...however, they do prefer appointments. My designer was Brittney, and she is a true sweetheart. She's honest and helpful, which is exactly what I need in a stylist. I needed my eyebrows waxed, and I told her how I wanted it, and while some will go too thin, she did it perfectly. She also trimmed and flat ironed my hair, giving me advice on products that will help me. The pricing is dependent on who your stylist is, but they will provide you with a price list. They also give you a Welcome Packet full of coupons, and they have a frequent visit card. My appointment is already made for my next visit!

    Wow! Very impressed with the layout and cleanliness of the store. The staff was professional and available to assist immediately. I had a gift card and stopped here at this location I live closer to the Rivergate location and my comparison comes from this store and the store at Rivergate mall. I'll be back.

When it was time to pay, I assumed she used the $50 gift card and put the rest on my credit card. But then she asked "Do you want to keep your card or should I toss it?" so I told her to toss it, assuming she had used up the value of the gift card. But when I left the store, the total seemed like it was too high so I checked the receipt and realized there was $30 left still on the gift card (which I just told her to toss), so I went back to the store and Dennifer lied to my face and told me "well, you asked to only use $20 from your gift card, I thought it was weird that you wanted me to toss your card!" - I never asked her to use a specific amount from my gift card. Why would she have asked if I wanted to toss my card if it wasn't empty? I don't want to assume, but I think she could have been trying to take my gift card.

As a business owner for many years I am very disappointed in the practices at Pure Barre. During my first month I was sick several days. When my first month ended all the left over sessions were removed from my account. I assumed, (yes I know the adage) that the sessions were removed from my account due to me scheduling and cancelling my classes, even though I tried to cancel within the 4 hour window I was told about. In December the facility cancelled several classes. Primarily the 8:30 class I used. Also, during December there was family illnesses that required my full attention, and I only scheduled one class and missed it. In addition to removing a session from my account I was charged an additional $15.00. I could live with that, not that I liked it. However when my month ended, not at month end, my sessions were once again deleted. Obviously I missed the memo of this practice. This made my decision to cancel my membership, which I obviously still paid for in January. May I suggest that you make sure that in the future you provide written rules to new members. I never received anything written about any of these policies. Enjoy a Blessed Day!

    Staff is amazing and so helpful. I have some physical challenges and they are great for helping…read moremodify and I still get the great results as if I was doing it the original way. So patient and kind!! Shout out to the 5:30 crew with Callie. She rocks!
