Absolutely some of the best service I have ever received and I have had my hair done plenty of times. I find that Mel not only is absolutely professional, but she doesn't damage my hair she listens. She wants to do what I want to do. She doesn't have her own preconceived idea and she is beyond sweet, caring, and a very pleasant person to be around! My hair is long, healthy, mostly blonde, and I like a natural look not over bleach look with dimension, and I've been having a hard time for seven years getting somebody who can do that and willing to do balayage and I can say that I finally found my match ! I came home, and my husband said that he thought that my hair poor looked probably better than he has ever seen my hair being done! This is coming from a guy who will complement, but he would not go out of his way to say that, unless it was true! What she did freshen, not only at my hair, but gave me the pop that I wanted with the dimension and no damage no dry just beautiful Aside from this, I was hopping on a plane tomorrow morning, and this is a Sunday. She bleached my roots put me under hood hair dryer and I was burning I told her it's too hot I can't tolerate she wanted to blond my hair in 1 hour! My hair came out yellow she did it again in couple days later and she burned my hair and scalp! I couldn't put my head on the pillow my whole scalp was red and burnt! Right after my first hair wash my hair started to break from where she bleached I had a long beautiful blonde hair I ended up chopping my hair and change the color! Mel did a wonderful job with my hair she didn't over charge me she washed my hair 3 times with the best shampoo ever, mel uses expensive products but does not overcharge her clients. I have been going to this place for my hair for over a year. Last time that I did highlight and keratin I wasn't happy with the results. My keratin treatment didn't work at all. My hair was even more freeze than before( I've been doing keratin treatment with her for over a year). My highlights are not blend at all. There are lines of blonde hair completely separated from my dark hair.I called back and asked to go back and fix my hair. To be fair she redid part of my keratin. What disappoints me is the attitude. She kept bringing excuses why my hair doesn't look good and saying that I don't know how highlights work or because she raised her prices I'm unhappy. Then she , herself offered to refund my money but she never texted me back or responded to me. Mistakes happens in all kind of work. I am Very upset that after one year of being her customer she treated me the way that she did. It's just extremely rude. read more

Came in yesterday for a hair cut. This is a newly opened place and was very clean and constructed quite nicely. Theres a comfy sofa you can sit on while you wait your turn. I was greeted by a wonderful lady who was most likely the owner. She kindly asked me how I would like my hair to look today. Now my hair isn't your normal hair style. To give you readers an idea, I'm a guy who is gifted with male pattern baldness, so needless to say that's a challenge to a barber to keep things right up there. Anyway, this is a good opportunity to see just how good the salon is. I used to just do the shaved head look, but got tired of it and eventually started growing whatever hair I had out. Then started going to various barbers in town for cuts, but I was leaving those salons with a feeling as if the cuts weren't coming out right. Well let me tell you, I left Mell Style looking a lot better than when I first walked in there. The price was very fair, and the barber was very sweet, so for that, I am giving this place 5 stars. I get haircuts every 2-3 months and haven't really found a place that I LOVE. So I visit and try out other salons as anyone would. When I searched this one up it had fairly good reviews mainly on hair coloring.I decided to give it a try. Upon arrival i was told to wait until she was done with her previous client. No problem there! When I sat on her chair the first thing that she said was "your hair is really damaged" exactly that is why I'm here to get a haircut! Anyways I brushed it off and proceeded to show her the hair cut I wanted when she jumped into saying it was V style cut. No , not what I want. What I wanted wasn't some crazy hairstyle. I guess she just had poor communication skills on her end. I tried to continue showing her pictures of what I wanted and truly trusted she would deliver. Once she was done cutting and my hair was still wet she sent me on my way. How could I know the end result if my hair is still wet. The hair cut total was 40 and I tipped her 10. I guess that's just what you do when getting a service. As soon as I got home and dried my own hair I realized I was unsatisfied with the results. If I posted a picture of the what I wanted vs what I got you'd also be upset. Save your time and money! Lady seemed rushed as she also didn't offer to give me a blow out etc. wish I wasn't writing this review but now I have to go get another haircut elsewhere! read more
