This was absolutely critical for us during a few serious diagnoses. She is everything you want in a pediatrician She's very well educated (Harvard Medical School), stays up-to-date with the latest research, is thoughtful and responsive. It's a bonus that she is a parent herself. She practices at The Village Doctor in Woodside. It's a concierge medical practice, which is a fit for some families and not for others. If this is an approach that works for you, then I highly recommend Dr. Sarah Cueva.

Time and again, she goes the extra mile for us to make sure we are informed and reassured. She effortlessly refers to the latest medical research on any given topic, but she also speaks to us as though we're just friends and fellow parents swapping notes. She has made herself available to our family around the clock, even bringing her kit to her own child's soccer practice during off hours so we could swing by and have my daughter's ears checked for possible infection. I could give so many more examples of that kind of "above-and-beyond" service and top-notch care. I would recommend her--and Burgess Pediatrics in general--to any parent in the Menlo Park area.

We saw Dr Noland several times over the following days and were genuinely impressed with her attentiveness, confidence and general demeanor. Given her style and situation (as a mid-career doctor with young children of her own), I can certainly understand why many new mothers gravitate to her as a primary pediatrician. And while we are quite happy with our primary doctor's "old school" approach, we've confidently recommended Dr Noland to friends and would be happy to see her more regularly ourselves.

If you read stuff on the Net, she will listen & consider what you have to say rather than taking a tone with you for trying to get as informed as possible. I like that too. My older daughter is completely freaked out by doctors & Dr. Noland and her wonderful nurses are very patient with her & give her time to chill out. On the negative side, it's a pain to get an appointment for regular appointments because this is an extremely popular practice & the front desk can be downright surly if you dare to ask a question during their catered lunch from 12-1:30. Nonetheless, I live with that inconvenience for my kids.
