She…read moreaided both my husband and I in working through some difficulties and both of us have, without reservation, recommended her over the years to people who have asked us for the secret to our happy & healthy relationship. They later thanked us.  We still go back for tune-ups now and again. "Our life together is richer, happier and more honest thanks to Dr. Broadbent. With her insightful questions, she helped both of us to decide to see our own lives more clearly and live more honestly and authentically."  - A direct quote from my husband.   We both have found that the hard work of self-examination pays off.  Learning how to face life honestly and courageously is not for everyone. Personal biases can preclude a good therapy relationship 'fit' (no, she was not our first couples counselor but she is the only one we recommend). Guilt, blame-shifting and denial - which involves lying to oneself as much as others - with the consequent anger are common early issues to work out. Owning one's own faults is tough. But only by doing so does one break through to all the good changes on the other side. It is one thing to know something intellectually, quite another to truly know it to one's core and live it. Take-aways learned in therapy: How people treat other people is a direct reflection of how they feel about themselves.  We don't see things as they are, we see them as we are. We have learned that miserable people focus on what they hate about their life. Happy people focus on what they love about their life. We now choose to be happy.  Thank you, Dr. Broadbent, for enriching our lives.

It was easy to book online with Jenny and also find parking in the neighborhood when I arrived. The check in process was a bit confusing but once I found my text confirmation with the front door code it all made sense. This is a coop and each therapist handles their own clients/appointments. Jenny was ready on time and gave me an incredibly relaxing massage with lavender oils and hot stones. I actually dozed off so that tells you it was wonderful. What a great experience here. The rates are reasonable and the house is incredibly cozy!

He had never had a massage before so I was super excited to see how he might like the experience. We tried contacting several spas and massage providers who either didn't have the availability or didn't respond back. Finally, I texted Metta on the number listed on their website and they responded within a few hours. We were able to schedule sessions for the time and day we wanted via text which was very convenient. My masseuse called out sick the day of so I was paired with Forest. My boyfriend was paired with Tav. Both providers were friendly and accomodating. My boyfriend LOVED his massage with Tav. He said he dozed off a few times and could see himself coming back every month - such a great sign for someone new to massage. I enjoyed my session with Forest as well and left feeling relaxed. A few things to note: they don't provide couples massages but instead do tandem massages. Meaning, you're in different rooms. This wasn't a dealbreaker for us but could be for others depending on your preference. They also still require masks here. We brought our own surgical masks but were asked to use their K95 masks they provided. This was a little uncomfortable during the service, especially while facing down, but I can understand the need if they have a lot of immunocompromised clients or staff members.
