I'd had this shop marked in places I wanted to try so we decided to check it out. It's tucked away on a little side street, we just about missed it. The lady behind the counter, perhaps the owner, is so sweet! We felt so welcome! And these treats are made with love! From cookies to cakes and a few other sweet treats, she had quite the selection! I was tugged towards the pound cake, or maybe the chocolate layer cake or the pineapple cake but then I saw my Momma's favorite, Italian Cream Cake! It was always so hard to find (and a pain to make) so when I saw that in the display I knew that's the one I had to try. I have no regrets. It's a perfectly balanced cake with the right amount of frosting and mix-ins such as nuts and coconut. It's perfectly sweet and moist. When someone says they want Italian cream cake, this is what they want! Now I know where to go to order my cakes as just from this slice, I can tell this is the spot. A hidden gem in Winder, if you're not getting your cakes here, you are missing out. You gotta check it out!

The people were so nice, not only the young ladies that work there but also the other patrons. We got a pint of vanilla to go because "of course!" If you haven't been, go. If you have, maybe we'll run into each other because we'll definitely be back!

My boys eventually wanted to stop in because of a video they saw online so of course we did.. Didn't do any research about the place and was extremely surprised to find out they make all their ice creams, popsicles, and drinks in house! Granted I've only heard great things about this place and finally experienced it. The workers were amazing as well and super patient with my little family. There were many options my kids got flustered. LOL. The gentleman behind the counter offered samples and explained the flavors of our possibilities. In the end we got ice creams and a mixed fruit drink. Next time we'll have to try their popsicles and hot snacks! Plus they have a point system you can use for future freebies! In the shop there are small tables and decent space for eating in. Very clean and nicely put together.

My shake was so good that I sat right in front of the place and enjoyed it while I people watched in my happy place. Service was absolutely phenomenal. The young kids running the place are very respectful and very friendly and I can't wait to find another reason to justify eating all of this sugar again.

The same breakfast I've ordered dozens of times. When I got home, I found the order was wrong. I immediately walked back and asked for it to be fixed. To my surprise the employee behind the counter told me I was wrong. She said, I got what I ordered. I said I've ordered this many times, it comes with egg and cheese. Then she said she'd fix it. I spent years in the restaurant business. When an order is incorrect, you remake it. Period. Instead they added the missing elements and gave the order back. I didn't know this til I got home. The bacon and bagel were cold and congealed. I walked back. Things really fell apart when I returned. I asked for it to be re-cooked. I asked for my money back. I asked the young lady to look online at what the sandwich was supposed to have. All I got was attitude and arguments. I admit, I got pretty upset. She kept saying she didn't like like my tone. I kept saying, 'then treat me like a valued customer.' I left the store without my money or my food. An hour later, a policeman shows up at my door. Are you kidding me? He was very understanding and said I was welcome back in the store and that the owner wanted things to remain civil. I wish the owner had been there at the time. I fully admit I could have handled the second visit better, but there's a way you handle customers and not a single employee in the restaurant knew how to do that. I'm not sure I will return to Savvy's. I simply don't want to engage with those two employees again, especially since they clearly don't know the menu or the online system. It's sad really. 4$ worth of food re-cooked would have sent me happily on my way. I'm sure those two girls are calling me a Karen right now. I'm willing to wear that badge proudly in the name of good customer service. Let me remind you again, I left without my money or my food. My money was refunded later that day.
