I thought Melarosa best suited our needs. Melanie was already slammed with other events and squeezed us in. So we didnt have time for the usual formalities. Unfortunately, my nerves were a wreck and I was a bit high strung because of the initial cancelation. On our big day... I was unhinged and didn't think the arrangements were full enough... Found Melarosa as a recommendation through my wedding caterer and boy was it one of the best choices we made for our NYC wedding. The entire process was super smooth - from drafting up and negotiating a contract to coming up a for a vision for the wedding many months out and then finally looking at the flowers closer to the wedding date. We had multiple visits to the flower district to see and pick the flowers - different from other florists I met with who usually don't bring you directly to the flowers! Could tell right away after the 1st visit to the flower district that not only is she a delightful vendor to work with but she is herself such a great customer - she has great relationships with the flower shops. The final products blew my mind away. The personal flowers (bouquets) were absolutely gorgeous and bountiful (she doesn't skimp on the flowers!) My centerpieces were cherry blossom branches (wedding was in May) and she did such a gorgeous job that some guests actually asked me if they could take a branch or two home. She listens to your vision and makes it come to life. Just trust her. Sometimes it's hard to envision how the final product will come out but I promise you will not be disappointed! There's no other way to put it: Melanie and the Melarosa team were lifesavers. Due to COVID, our venue was forced to make a change that totally upended our floral needs, and our original florist could not accommodate the changes. We found Melanie in the remaining few months leading up to our wedding day and she jumped into action. She quickly understood our vision and put our anxious minds at ease. She is incredibly knowledgeable and professional, and she executed our floral plan to perfection. Our chuppah was BEAUTIFUL, as were the bouquets--she even sourced certain hard-to-find/out-of-season flowers that we wanted from outside the country. Moreover, she was very understanding of our budgetary constraints and found creative ways to ensure we didn't run over budget. Choosing Melarosa was one of the best choices we made for our wedding. Melanie is an absolute artist and a complete pleasure to work with. Our initial plan for our wedding was modern with clean lines and edges. Melanie met us at the flower district and immediately started selecting pieces that would work. However, after postponing our wedding due to a death in the family, we chose to go a different way with our decor. Rather than modern, we decided to go with more traditional floral arrangements in jewel tones that would make our runners from India pop. She once again met us in the flower district. And in an instant, she brought our second vision to life. She never complained for a minute about our drastic change in vision. Rather, she happily worked to accommodate our every need and desire. She was patient, kind and so warm. When I walked into studio 450 and saw our tables, I was floored. The flowers and table arrangements far exceeded my expectation in every way. They were absolutely stunning and guests are still commenting on how beautiful our centerpieces were and how well they accented all of our Indian pieces. Not only that, our bouquets were beautiful and she helped me to add a locket to my bouquet so that I could carry my godfather close to my heart. My flower girls were in their glory with their baskets and petals. And our alter looked gorgeous flocked by two gorgeous pedestal pieces. I cannot sing Melanie's praises enough. Her work is amazing. AMAZING! AMAZING! AMAZING! I stumbled across Melanie after getting the run around from a manhattan florist that I was working with on my wedding and she was recommended to me by Leslie at Marcey Brownstein catering...and boy was I lucky that I found her!! Melanie really does create little works of art and she is able to work within your budget to create something wonderful. I just had my wedding at 620 loft and garden which is a beautiful roof top locaiton, but with a rather raw interior that needed to be dressed up. In working with Melanie, I informed her of my budget and she laid out a list of all the possible flowers I could work with and then told me to remove those I couldn't stand...the list she had was a very long one and included every flower you woudl typically expect in a wedding centerpiece/ bouquet etc...so no major limitations. She was also very flexible on the containers, where no other florist was "able" to locate the white containers I wanted, but melanie had no problem and was more then willing to accomodate. As we got closer to the wedding she even worked with my hectic work schedule, and drove mock up centerpieces to my office building so I could quickly select those I wanted without having to come to Long island where her place is located. This was clutch, becuase we have hectic work schedules and she eliminated the barrier of travel which is always a big deal when you don't have a car in the city. Anyway, it was quick efficient and perfect, we selected our flowers and then even the week before the wedding when we changed our table shapes she was able to work on the fly to accomodate. When I showed up at my venue the day of the wedding, we were blown away. It was the most glamarous display of flowers and shapes and sizes I have everseen. The comments we got from the guests were that they matched our "old new york" theme which was exactly what we were looking for, they looked rich and elegant! I give melanie top rating for #1 being one of the nicest vendors to work with...that is important in NYC when they often treat brides like they are a dime a dozen... and she is truly talented with her displays. 3500 characters is not enough room to explain how talented Melarosa and her team are. She was able to conceptualize my ever-changing wedding vision and make my dreams into a jaw-dropping reality. Throughout the entire planning process, Melanie made herself available, jumping on phone calls, walking through Pinterest boards, and meeting me in the NYC flower market to ensure I was 100% happy with the flowers and design. And at the end of the day, I was 1000000% happy. Melanie blew my mind with the overall design and execution of my wedding flowers & decor. It was better than any Pinterest inspiration pic I ever showed her, and my guests could not get over the design: the colors, the flower choices, the ivy, the candles...EVERYTHING was perfect. Melanie and her team are true professionals and artists. She's the epitome of a partner - playing a pivotal role throughout the planning process and collaborating to make sure the end product reflects the bride / grooms vision (at their set budget!) Unlike some vendors, Melanie will make whatever budget you have work...and stretch the dollar for massive impact. I can say with 100% confidence that Melanie is one of the best florists around the NYC area...and beyond. I would hire her over and over and over again if I could. Melanie is worth beyond 5 stars. She is extremely talented and executed my wedding vision perfectly. Not only is she a gem of a person, an absolute sweetheart, but she is knowledgeable, passionate, and an absolute pleasure to work with. We were getting married in a raw space so flowers were a huge part of the ambiance and decor and Melanie and her team executed it seamlessly while working with our budget. I used Melarosa for my wedding, which was last night, and it was nothing short of spectacular. Melanie created pure magic. I was literally brought to tears when I walked into the venue the morning of because the room looked so beautiful. Everyone was blown away.
