I'd been going to a stylist set up in a Columbus location for a while, so since he didn't have a direct recommendation, I picked a SL location and browsed the local profiles. Each stylish independently sets their hours, so you aren't likely to get a walk in. Your experience will depend on your stylist's hours, offerings, and personality. I was extremely skeptical about coming in during COVID. However, a clever friend tipped me off that they are less busy during two times: early mornings and around rush hour. Because they offer online scheduling (such a plus), when I saw an appointment slot open during one of those times, I snagged it. Jeniece did my nails this time and was excellent. I've been here a handful of times, and I swear, all the women that work here are lovely, skilled and talented. I felt as safe as I possibly could have during this weird time in our world. I appreciated the salon's attention to safety protocols, true social distancing and client spacing, and checking-in to make sure you're comfortable. Stella & Shay will forever be a class act to me, made even better by their easy and convenient online scheduling. People self-schedule and flex their own appointments constantly, so if you just stay patient and refresh a few times a day, you may find what you need without trouble. Shoutout to Jeniece for the excellent gel manicure and not judging the state of my nails after being without a manicure for so long. Big love for this local business!

I booked an olaplex treatment and with loose curls. Upon arrival, I was greeted with a bustling salon, full of prom traffic, young girls getting blowouts and full glam. It was nice. Back in the chair, Aurora did a thorough consultation of what I was looking for. She went through the products and started to curl my hair, plenty of hairspray later and I was done. TRIAL&DAY OF I was a bit concerned to use a makeup artist b/c I was afraid they would put makeup on me-they've always done for everybody else instead of listening to what the bride would want. She was the very opposite. If I look back now at the requests I gave her I would groan of embarrassment but every reaction was honest and professional. She gave her professional opinion and always left the ball in my court to decide. I ended up completely changing my preferences by emailing her a instructional video on some KPOP singer's makeup. We didn't do a 2nd trial but after what she did from the 1st trial I knew she would do an awesome job regardless. She's got natural talent!! She worked with me on every twist and turn I asked and on top of that: She did a fabulous job! I absolutely LOVED my makeup on my wedding day. Shame on me I forgot to mention to her about my tattoo that needed to get covered up. I was sooo very thankful that she did everything to make it right! Everything about me that day was natural and perfect!! I couldn't have asked for a better makeup artist to entrust my face for my wedding. What I love most about Audrey is that she really took her time to do her work and did not rush through it. You could tell that she was always very meticulous with her work. All in all, I would definitely recommend her to anyone who is looking for a make up artist.
