I did research to find a salon with good reviews for their hair coloring service. I was looking for someone to solve my issue with gray hair and home coloring mistakes. I am African American, and my only concern was the stylist being able to style my natural hair. I requested an appointment with Melissa. She was very knowledgeable and upfront about what would look best on me. Melissa did a fantastic job! I am very satisfied and my hair hair has never looked so good. She straightened and curled my hair and it still looks good a week later. I love my color and I've gotten many compliments. Everyone at the salon was friendly and attentive. The saying, "you get what you pay for," definitely applies here. I'm looking forward to seeing Melissa again in December. I highly recommend this salon! read more

She sent me photos of her hair after leaving this salon and the owner has yet to refund her money. This was a botched bleach job. There's no other way to put it. Gabby knows a lot about hair and through the years I have explained my process and taught her the science behind what I do to her hair. I highlight her hair and deposit red afterward. She knows exactly what to ask for. This stylist did not deliver. Chunks of prelightened hair, stripey, not consistent from roots to ends... I don't even understand what she tried to do!!! The owner was extremely rude when Gabby tried to explain the situation, writing her off and lacking communication skills. She is extremely unprofessional and has yet to refund her money. For starters, the online booking was very convenient and easy. I really haven't had anything done to my hair in over a year so it was a hot mess. Tina was fantastic! She nailed the highlights, cut, and style. She genuinely loves her career and it shows. She took the time to listen to my hair needs and gave good suggestions to make my hair healthy again. On January 22, 2022 I called the salon to schedule an appointment for a trim and a bridal style. I explained to the receptionist that I was getting married, needed a trim and style. Explained the style that I wanted - curls with a braid. The receptionist scheduled me for their first appointment on my wedding day - 12:00 p.m. on 2/14/2022 (yes, Valentine's Day). Yesterday, with less than a week before my wedding day (combined with Valentine's Day), the salon called to "reschedule" my appointment because oppsies they scheduled me with a stylist who is not scheduled to work on Monday - LOL. Completely unacceptable. I scheduled my appointment WEEKS in advance. And I am completely screwed now because no salon has any openings on a Monday, let alone on Valentine's Day. My story is a very lengthy one but I'll do my best to keep it simple. On April 10, 2018 I went to Pink Boutique in Parma, OH not only was my hair extremely over processed but broke off 10 inches I was devastated and left. I came into Tease salon because they came highly recommend by my coworkers. This is when I met Angela she took me to the back wiped my tears away and started treatments immediately and cut 6 more inches off my hair she requested i come back in a few weeks for more treatments. On April 30, 2018 she had to cut 4 more inches off my hair but then she did the most unbelievable thing to my hair she maid it beautiful. No it's no past my waist anymore but it's on it's way to full recovery. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Angela to do anyone's hair. Went here to get some color and a cut and it was a disaster , I asked for pink in my hair and a shorter hair cut . And she bleached my hair when my hair was already bleached so she bleached it more .. then put a toner on it and said it was going to be a rose gold color . It was not rose gold it was pink , brown , red and blonde . Yes my hair is dark in the first place but it was awful and then got a hair cut and it had no structure to it at all . Paid 160$ and then left sat in my car and teared up because it was awful , went to target and had to buy box dye to fix the front because I couldnt walk around like that . Then my fiancé looked at my hair and told me my hair was cut uneven and it was . Next day went up there to talk to a manager wasn't in and had to wait for her to call me just to tell me they can't do anything about it because I left without telling them I wasnt happy . I just wanted to get out of there before things got worse because I was already pissed off . Can't refund me money because that's their "policy" so I guess you're aloud to mess peoples hair up and then you're stuck with it . I had to go to another salon for them to fix my hair and they took a picture of it because it was that bad . All I wanted was my money back because they damaged my hair really bad in the front it's fried now and it's shorter than I wanted it to be and they keep telling me it's their policy but if you miss up that much the policy should be out the window and trying to make the customer happy I dont want to go to someone else there to fix the problem or anything like that I just wanted my money back to fix it somewhere else so it's a waste of money and they don't really care about the customer obviously . I don't usually do this, but I am really bothered by the outcome of my hair. I spent close to $200 and it it's nothing of what I asked for. The haircut is extremely uneven and the only way I can wear it is up in a ponytail. I also came in for highlights and a root touch up, I specifically asked her to get as close to my root as possible, nope. There is about 3 inches between the root touch up and the highlights. She hand painted the lighter on, which took her no more than 10 minutes. When I looked at it, the lighter was dried up.... she never came back to see or check in it. 10 minutes!??? I felt like this was a rushed job and the result is just that. The color I asked for was a deep wine, the color I received looks like a washed out version. I'm very upset and can't believe they charge so much for a half assed job. read more

Walking in you're greeted with amazing scents. They got me in the same day and did a great job on my hair. Everyone was so nice and sweet.

Went to tease the first time and honestly the first visit wasn't very great. Had a hair disaster. Got tons of dark lowlights and brown when I wanted to go platinum. Went in the next day and spoke to the owner and she was very understanding and accommodating. She made a very embarrassing situation feel as comfortable as possible and offered to fix everything free of charge. The stylist (Jen) next to her agreed that it needed to be fixed and offered to help on the spot. I thought it was really great especially considering she had other clients to juggle. 4 hours later and she got my hair so dang close to what I had in my mind. It was incredible! Especially considering she had to go back through lowlights and try to bring them close to a very icy blonde. Her service blew me away. I will definitely be going back again. Ask for Jen. I made an appointment, going into this salon you'd expect to tell them and show them exactly what you want and it should be delivered! That was not the case here the lady that did my hair did something completely the opposite of the pic I showed her! When she was done she used a toner which I never wanted to begin with and on top of that it's only right to discuss how much price would be in order for me to decide if I'd like to go through with it or not but no!!!!!! In my opinion that's very unprofessional I got charged 185 dollars on something I completely was unsatisfied with ! To me that's so unfair , I would have definitely not minded if I was happy with my hair , but now I'm left with this ugly apricot orangy color on half of my hair ! Now I'm just gonna go buy a box of hair coloring to return my original hair color , this is so ridiculous that I have to pay extra to fix my own hair , if I could I would give this place 0 stars ! On a random whim I called to ask some questions and see if any of their stylists could meet my hair dying needs. The person who answered the phone was very helpful and friendly. She had me come in same day for a consultation. During the consultation, I voiced the look I wanted which was essentially a balayage that went from black at the roots to silver/grey at the ends. Angela the stylist was honest but respectful. She let me know that it would take multiple sessions to lighten my hair to achieve what I wanted (which I expected, because my hair has been boxed died for 5 years). She performed a bleach test on a lock of hair, and then toned it as well, to see how my hair would take it. After the consultation I didn't at all feel pressured to make a decision right then and there-- but I did because I loved Angela. They were able to get me in the next week but I was in no rush and scheduled an appointment two weeks out. Fast forward: The day before I received an automated text reminder about my appointment. I loved this idea. When I arrived the day of my appointment, Angela took me right back to her chair, no wait. We touched base about what I was expecting. We ultimately decided that it would take multiple sessions to lighten my hair to a light enough color to hold silver/grey dye, but she reassured me that she wouldn't let me walk around looking ridiculous in-between. She then really only asked me a couple questions (what base color do you want? and how drastic do you want it to gradient?) before going to town on my hair. Somehow Angela knew exactly what I would like without having a lengthy conversation about it, and I was never at all worried because even though it was only the second time I met her, I felt like I could trust her. She was honest, kind, talkative, and VERY talented. The appointment in total took about 3.5 hours. At the end I was blown away by how amazing my hair looked, it was a perfect balayage that went from black, to a chocolate brown, to a darkish golden blonde. The way it fades from one color into the next is seamless and amazing. I was so happy with the final look that I decided to continue the process and schedule my next appointment with her before I left. If you're looking for a salon that knows what they're doing and knows what they're talking about, I highly recommend this place. Angela did an amazing balayage on my hair, and while my hair was developing I watched her style a girl's hair for homecoming and it looked awesome! Also, their website is super informative. It has pictures and descriptions of all the stylists and what they expertise in, which honestly made me feel like you kind of know them before you even walk in the door. I took my mom here to get a haircut and she could not have been more pleased. All of the staff is friendly and helpful. Her stylist did a fantastic job and spent about 3 hours with her to make sure she was happy with the end result. When she washed her hair the next day the style was also very easy for her to manage. One of the things I was impressed with is that during the consultation my mom thought she wanted to go much lighter, but the stylist professionally explained she didn't recommend that and told her why. Then she offered alternatives and in the end her suggestions turned out much better than what was initially requested. After the consultation I knew my mom was in good hands and left to run errands. I was getting updates from my mom on the process and she was very excited about the wine they gave her to help her relax. They were nice enough to offer me a glass when I came back to pick her up too! This was the best cut and color my mom has ever received. She just looks great and is all smiles. It took some convincing to get her there to splurge on herself, but after receiving TONS of compliments from friends and strangers I'm sure she is now a regular. Thank you!! read more

I know what you're thinking folks, here is yet another 5 star review. But let me start by saying, I go to a lot of places and when I feel that wherever I go deserves a good Yelp, then I do it. If I am not satisfied, I make sure I give them a chance of redemption and it if doesn't work, then I give my best, most honest review. That being said.. I have for many years had a problem with getting my hair done at a salon. I have never had a great experience, for that reason, I colored my own hair for years (no, I am not a natural blond). Ladies, the one's that color their hair, you know who you are, for a good color, you're paying a lot of money every 6-8 weeks, this review is for you. I have gone to several different places in the past 10 years, I never felt like a hundred bucks whenever I left the salon. Because of the high price, I never wanted to take the chance and go back. I didn't put any reviews on Yelp because of the fact I went one time and I did not give them a chance to redeem themselves because it was too much of a risk. My awesome friend, Andrea, recommended Tease Salon in Parma. I was apprehensive, but I was also getting sick of doing my own hair, so I decided to give it a chance. I sent a message through their website requesting an appointment. A half a day later I was all set, I received an email back almost immediately giving me a choice of a few appointments available within 2 weeks.. So, today I had my appointment with Breanne. Needless to say I was going through that 'my hair looks awesome now, I should cancel' phase (I am sure you ladies know exactly what I am talking about). I pushed myself to go anyway. When I arrived, Breanne took me right away. She was so positive. I shared my last horrible experience (will not 'Yelp it' because it was only one time) and she just said the positive things about my hair (this is where it gets good) she mentioned that she saw that my hair was in my face every time I put my head down and that layers would help that. I cried... I cried because she had the gonads to tell me what I should do instead of sitting there waiting for me to tell her. How do I know what hair styles look good on me? I see a picture and that's what I want to look like, but most likely I won't look like that at all. She highlighted my hair, cut it and styled it, I cried again.. My hair looked like it did when I was 8 yrs old, beautiful ,soft, new looking. She did such a great job! Also I was her only client during the time of my appointment, she wasn't running back and forth from me to someone else, trying to make good time and trying to make a buck. I was her only focus and that's all I ask. I don't think she realized what she did for me, she was so humble with her work, but I am so extremely happy with the results. The other stylists were the same way, their client was their only client, I didn't see anyone running back and forth from one to the other. I was out of there in about 2 hours, highlight-lowlight, cut and style, for $120.00. Oh and not once did she try to sell me ANYTHING! That is such a turn off for me and I am sure for a lot of you ladies too!! Please if you are looking for another salon, or maybe you're not, this is a nice change. I am 47 yrs old and my hair is conservative and beautiful!! I would post a picture, but I didn't have make-up on :) You have to trust me on this one :) I also want to mention that the Facebook pictures do show a lot of the same hairstyle, which made me a little more nervous, but don't let that sway you. As someone who has there hair icy platinum blond for over five years, I know what works for my hair. When I moved to Cleveland I knew trying to find another salon to replicate my hair was going to be tough but today was appalling. I had my hair done by Breanna a stylist who on her profile says to create killer blonds. That is far from the truth. I went in for a root touch up and when I initially left it looked ok just slightly grayish purple. With my hair down it wasn't too bad but when I pulled my hair that night to wash my face my roots underneath were bright yellow. I went in a day later to get it fixed and was treated with such sass that I requested my money back. I was told that is against policy so I let her attempt to fix my hair. I proceeded to tell her what my stylist back home thought needed to be done but she refused to listen. In fact, telling me this was my fault because my roots were too long. WTF? Bre then fried my hair because she re-bleached it, turned it purple with the wrong toner even after warning her that it would do so. Then after stripping all the purple out my hair is still yellow, its just now a dark yellow, not a bright yellow. After all that Nancy the manager meets me at the front door to tell me the follow-up appointment I had made was canceled and I am not to come back to that salon. Very disappointing considering this salon was voted best hair color on Cleveland's hot list 2017. I will not recommend this salon to anyone!!! Let's be clear for the record Nancy, you were not there and you do not know what was said. I was not making derogatory remarks toward Bre. I did however tell her what is best for MY hair and she refuse to listen. I did have very high hopes walking into that salon and was highly disappointed with you and Bre today. I'm sure it is your staff's job to tell everybody that they look amazing as they're walking out the door. And furthermore I was never planning on coming back especially after the way I was treated today. Next time you comment back on somebody's review try and put yourself in their shoes and try and imagine how they felt when their hair was messed up. Nancy, you are so rude and disrespectful. I am a verified customer and this review very real!! I was looking for a hair color specialist so I would NOT do anymore damage to my blonde hair from coloring it myself and based on previous reviews I called Tease and inquired about a hair color "specialist" and was told all were "specialists" so I went there. I ended up with "Dana" who I clearly explained what I wanted, showed her 200 photos from Pinterest and reconfirmed that she could give me the color I wanted. As she was coloring it she kept repeating "keep an open mind", I had a feeling something wasn't right. Well, instead of giving me light silvery beige with a few low lights she dyed it ALL dark brown! What I requested is the latest trend in haircolor, not difficult for a "specialist" who knows what she's doing! Needless to say, I was beyond furious and so she stripped it out which burned and dried my hair so sever that it is falling out in clumps. And,while stripping it she just kept repeating there must have been a misunderstanding...again, I had 200 photos of the same look off Pinterest!! Since then I went into the salon twice asking for help to save my severely damaged hair telling her it was her fault and all she say's is she can cut it all off giving me a pouty face...that's not an option or the answer! Oh,she did walk to Sally's with me to pick out no brass shampoo cuz the brown she stripped off turned yellow. DO NOT GO THERE!!!!! I'm contemplating calling a lawyer!! read more

Alright, so I literally signed up for yelp just so I could write this. I had my hair dyed here and it was honestly horrible in every way. First, I was given a completely wrong quote over the phone... like +$100s wrong quote. I should have left right when I found this out, but they tried to work with me on price given their mistake (which was nice I do admit). I did a pastel ombre and the "blue pastel" final color was sooo blotchy and uneven throughout my hair and was tinted green. Once I got in my car and saw it in sunlight, it honestly looked like I had just been in chlorine (I'm naturally blonde). For the price I paid, this was absurd and absolutely unacceptable. I tried to work with it but when I washed my hair 3 days later with color protectant shampoo the color came out completely.... like no more pastel at all. I used a pastel blue shampoo they suggested to me and the bottom 2-3 inches of my hair died completely and I had to get it all chopped off because it was so dead. I don't know what the woman did to my hair here, but it was by far the worst job I have ever seen/heard of. I've been dying my hair for 8 years and this was by far the worst experience I have ever had. I really wish I had realized how awful this hair coloring was sooner (like while I was still at the salon =/) but I would never recommend anyone to go to this salon... ever. read more

went to this salon a couple of day ago and as I walked in I walked right back out and will NEVER return... I had high hopes for this salon have hurd many great things so I wanted to give it a try , waited so long for my appointment day to arrive so I was excited to finally go get my hair done, my appt was for over 3 hrs long wanted to get a bayalage / ombre on my hair....so that's plenty of time, I was a little hesitated going in because she was not exactly the styles I originally wanted to see but I thought since its a good salon so expensive all the girls would be talented, the stylist that I had was playing with my hair for an hour and yet not had stared on my hair... I showed her a couple of pictures and variations on what I liked... she was just confused to me it seemed... she asked for advise from her peers ( which is fine a second opinion is always good.... the girls gave their opinions on what to mix together) the only thing my stylist kept saying was we don't have enough time to do this for you today ...one hour she wasted just playing with my hair where she could of stared something at least and she just kept saying how she was not comfortable on doing me hair today... she would not even do an all over color, yet alone something more challenging... I mean I went to a salon where I expect for someone who calls themselves a professional to do their job and get it right,,, she kept saying I had to come another day? like whats that going to change? and they didn't had an opening for another color until past jan/feb? so that made me even more frustrated, i left from this salon angry and I would not be returning the way that i got treated and wasted my time, as soon as I left i just yelped a new salon found this amazing girl she told me to stop by to see my hair...told her the story what happen she said it was crazy as soon as she touched me hair she was like " I know exactly what to do" even though I had no appointment and she was booked the rest of the night she stared working on my hair and it turned out amazing just how I want it in one sitting of a 2 hr session..so I had no idea what the stylist at tease salon was thinking in her head.... I didn't believe it. and for half the crazy prices that you guys would of charged me...she got my business now from now on..I guess if you don't know how to do hair don't be in this businesses and don't call your self a stylist....like not everyone can be a doctor or a lawyer than not everyone can be a stylist ..... sorry for this very long nasty review but it was very disappointing read more

My foils were bleeding and nothing was done to fix the problem. When I called two days after my appointment to share that I was unhappy the owner was not accommodating whatsoever.
