This is a popular spot for émigrés from Mauritius but also other Londoners as well. I felt like eating some Mauritian food the other day so I headed up to this friendly spot. To begin my meal I ordered a tasty chicken catlesse. This was served with some spicy chutney sauce. I added on a Du Pain Frite (fried bread) which is totally tasty. My main course was a real treat - Fish Rougaille. This traditional Mauritian tomato-based fish dish came with house-made roti. It was all delicious. A glass of vanilla Alouda was the perfect beverage. This eatery is not at all in one of the tourist areas of London but it is located only minutes from a Piccadilly Line stop in North London and well worth the trip. Try La Chamarel and add Mauritian food to your list of world cuisines.
